Hi - have been reading avidly and commenting from time to time for the past couple of years but not got around to introducing myself.

Have a SLOC but no kids but am a fond aunt! Retired (very early!!) and live part time in Bristol and part time in France - more and more time in France.

Difficult to choose favourite CS book - incline towards Austrian and war books - not so keen on the Swiss era.

Loved books as a child - the foreigness - the security. Was not happy at own school and daydreamed about being in Austria! Found a paperback in a jumble sale a few years ago and that started me off again. Not sure how I found the-cbb - Google search I think which also came up with FOCS etc.

Great to know more about you, Lizco, but am green with jealousy at your living part-time in France.

Thank you everyone for the hellos and welcome :D Our house in France is just south of Tours in the heart of the Loire Valley chateaux country. We have been made to feel very welcome there by our French neighbours. And, of course, it would be fun to have a La Gather there!
