The staff agreed as it was a convenient abbreviation of "mouthy little twit" which had long been their preferred name for Mary Lou

Trips to visit local glaciers were always routine affairs, easily signed off by Health and Safety because they were so uneventful.

When the CS gave in and appointed its first Health & Safety Officer/ Risk Assessor, it was felt that an Old Girl would be the best choice, as being the most likely to understand the school's little quirks and customs with regard to floods, thunderbolts and avalanches as well as accident-prone pupils and staff. Erica Standish was such an obvious choice that her job interview was a mere formality...

And the school and the Sanatorium decided that it was in their best interest to stop the school sending their students there. They had already lost four doctors due to incidents.
