I think GGB are publishing Margaret Bigg's Christmas Term at Vernley soon ... this is based on a comment by Clarissa on the GGB website that she hasn't finsihed the blurb for it yet, for the new catalogue. I love it when new titles come out!!!!

And I just ordered it without realising that it is in fact a reprint and I already have it! So now I have to cancel the order..... :bawling:

I check the GGB website frequently and when I click on Forthcoming Books and see that the bar at the side has shortened, I know before the page is up that there are new titles. But then my excitement is cooled when i see it's soemthing I already have ... ah well. Waiting in hope is good, too ...

Oooh - Clarissa has written that she has a total of 5 books to upload! I am soooooooooooo excited!

The one I'd like them to reprint is Highland Twins but I emailed them and got a slightly patronising response saying they had printed it recently. (As I explained, it was printed before I had acces to buying GGBP books thus my request).

Try some of the dealers in the list on GGB pages. They quite often have copies for quite a while after it has been printed.

I've just checked my database (book is in loft) and Highland Twins was published in 2003 so not that recently :? (BTE Does It Again was previously published Autumn 2002).

Which is the website that has details about coming books before they're listed on the GGB website? I though it was TopsyTurvey but they only have details back in 2011.

If you look at the latest Topsy Turvy catalogue pages, you should see a note of which GGBP reprints are due out before the next TT catalogue appears. I know there are some listed there which aren't yet on the GGBP website. I also notice from the GGBP News, that Clarissa will be posting the rest of the forthcoming titles onto their website as soon as she can, probably early this coming week.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I couldmn't be bothered pointing that out because the tone of the email did not invite any further correspondance. :(

GGBP has just listed their next set of forthcoming titles on the website. Chalet School Does it Again is the only EBD title, but there are books by Monica Edwards, Margaret Biggs, Gwendoline Courtney and Lorna Hill as well!

The next batch of titles from GGBP (due September/October) have just been announced. Some have been mentioned above but I'm listing them all to make it easier:

Not Scarlet But Gold - Malcolm Saville
The CS Does It Again (reprint) - EBD
The Wanderer - Monica Edwards
Christmas Term at Vernley - Margaret Biggs
Sally's Family - Gwendoline Courtney
A Dream of Sadler's Wells - Lorna Hill

I'm looking forward particularly to Christmas Term at Vernley - I've only "met" Margaret Biggs' books since GGBP started reprinting them and have really enjoyed them.

Also, just a heads up that Girls Gone By will be closed for the week of August 13 to 17 and the week of October 22 to 26. Any e-mails sent to them during either of those weeks will be responded to after they reopen.
