Glad to hear about the good news for your dad and stepmum, jmc and that the prognosis for your mum is better than first thought - I hope the treatment goes OK.

Seconding that, jmc. You must be exhausted - hope you get the chance to be kind to yourself as well today, even if for half an hour (Starbucks was invented for situations like this !)

Thank you for updating us, jmc. I'm glad it's better news about your mum and that your dad and stepmum are doing so well. I too hope that you can take some time to look after yourself. I will keep praying for all concerned.

Thanks for the update, jmc - glad to hear things are going well for your dad and stepmother. Also glad that the news on your mother is better than it might have been, even though she'll still have to undergo some pretty aggressive treatment.

It's not at all surprising that you are exhausted - that's been a huge emotional roller coaster ride for you as well as a physically demanding time; I hope that you will be able to take at least some time for rest. Will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear the good/better news on all sides.

Jmc, will be continuing to pray for you all, your mother especially...

Good to hear your dad and step-mum are doing so well and fingers crossed for no rejection.

But I'm sorry about your mum - though the news is infinitely better than was first thought. Don't give up! SLOC has lymphoma - non-Hodgkins - and is still here 13 years later. Okay, pancreatic lymphoma is pretty grim but they can do so much these days, as you've just pointed out. I shall keep her in my prayers that the whole thing doesn't become too gruelling for her and that a complete recovery occurs.

Jmc - thank you for the update. Fantastic news about your Stepmum and Dad. I so glad that the prognosis on your mum is not as bad as you thought. I will continue to send positive thoughts to you and your mum.

jmc, thankyou for the update. The news on your dad and step-mum is wonderful, and I shall keep praying that he recovers fully and it all goes well. I shall also keep praying for your mum, that the treatment goes as well as it can and that she makes a full recovery, and for you that you have some time to recover and take stock, and lots of support until then.

T is at home, although he's far from well. His eyesight is impaired at the moment - he can't read, cross stitch or watch television. (There are many here who will sympathise with that predicament, especially the first two!) It's too soon to tell whether the impairment is just because he is still exhausted, or whether his eyes have been damaged.

Many thanks for all your prayers and positive thoughts - they do make a difference! There's a long way to go, To has recovered more thoroughly and more quickly than anyone expected.

Please could I ask for prayers/positive thoughts for my work colleague and friend, Sally, who has just been diagnosed with bowel and chest cavity cancer. She has had a terrible six months with first her father-in-law dying and then her mother and father. She has had blood clots and now they have finally diagnosed cancer. (One wonders why it took them so long since she has been ill since January!) She is the loveliest person and her husband is devasted - she hasn't yet told her daughters, one of whom is at uni, as she doesn't want to worry them.

That's awful, Jools. Will pray for all concerned. Would you like me to put her name on the prayers list in the Convent I work in? (pm me if so :) )

(the latter offer goes for anyone asking for prayers/positive thoughts on here, by the by)
