No, only the possibly one. Or the impossibly one, depending on how it all pans out and whether we actually ever see/talk again !!

I would be impulsive (lovely sunny day!) and contact him and see him again. Unless it's more complicated than that? I'm annoyed because my cousin just texted and asked me to join her at St. Paul's but she didn't realise it was the Marathon today and I doubt I'll make it in time with all the diversions. On top of that, someone just e-mailed and offered me a really lovely room but it's 125 euros mroe than the other one I've found, although I would pay up to 500 but not 550! It sounds great though! :(

Only complicated in that we're neither of us the youngest and I'm doing this cross-culturally (he's German; I'm Brit-ish and German-ish  ) so feel even more confused than normal... and that I've more than likely misinterpreted the whole thing !

You'll never know if you don't contact him, FrauJ! Be bold!

I second that! I know how difficult cross-cultural relationships (or even the beginning of them!) can be but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Won't you always wonder?

Come and join me! I'm revised out, and this exam can only go badly (as in I don't think I'm going to have enough topics to answer the question, so I'll fail fail, but it's all so confused that I don't know!) and I just don't have the will anymore... Shall we sit with chocolate/cake/ice-cream and natter about that awful Matron Webb instead?

(((FrauJ))) - that all depends on what was said last time and if you have something Hugely Important to say if you rang again (you can usually find something if you try!)

I'll send my motivated feelings across to you both - how long they'll last I'm not sure as we're up to day 4...

Today is his name-day, so sending an email (as I have done) is only nominally pathetic !

The ceiling just fell down on me.

And then I got a shower.

A pipe burst upstairs.

And I have a spare clean uniform.

But I don't have a spare shirt. Or a hairdryer.

Blood tests are cancelled for the rest of the day.

The head nurse offered me a snorkel.

No one told me about the dangers of this job.

I have been waiting for six months for our Facilities Management staff to come and change three light bulbs in my office (two completely dead and one which goes on and off intermittently). They came within a couple of weeks of the original report only to find that they had run out of that sort of light bulb and would have to order more and come back... Which they didn't . Our PA made a formal complaint in February on my behalf after we were getting nowhere informally and lo and behold they finally arrived at 8:15 this morning and replaced all three bulbs... only for the intermittent one to return to being intermittent within 5 minutes of the replacement. Fortunately they were still replacing other bulbs in my department so I grabbed them and hauled them back, only for them to decide it's a dud transformer, which isn't in stock, will have to be ordered and they can't say how long that will take. AAAAAARGH! How long does it take to change a light bulb?

((((chattie)))) that sounds like a bad joke. Not funny when it's true, though.

(And dangerous, as well, surely ? Could Health and Safety do anything about it ?)

Hugs to everyone who needs them! Chattie, hope you get that sorted out. The rental agency is not e-mailing me back about flats :(
Frauj, well done on the e-mail! Does that mean you're actually seeing him? :)

I am getting rather tired of having no hot water at home and being given the run around by plumbers :banghead:.

Does your local council have a list of recommended tradesmen? You could also see if they have a link to trading standards on their web-site...

Oh, well done! Love the *little arrangement* and the fact that you've chosen hallowed ground for it!!
