I don't suppose it would be possible to have a separate section where fill-ins can be discussed? Really confusing at the moment when there is so much about them scattered in with the EBD titles under Sixth Form and Lemon Biscuits.

Apologies in advance if I should have posted this elsewhere.

As it's a new year, would this not be an ideal time to restart the book-a-week formal discussion threads that used to be posted in Special Sixth? Starting with School At the first week, then Jo Of the next week, then Princess, etc. Threads for fill-ins could be also incorporated as they fit in with the EBD canon (adding that so that I'm not entirely derailing Audrey's thread! :P ). The Special Sixth forum is a bit of a graveyard these days, it would be nice to see new discussions popping up in there.

That does sound like fun, but also like quite a big job for someone to take on :?

It would be great if someone could take on the job of organising them again! But with Mod hat on, I certainly couldn't do it justice nowadays, so if maybe, Aquabird and Abbey, you could think about doing it - together, or in turn if you like, and setting out a timetable.
As Mod for Special Sixth, I'd be very happy for you to set it going again between you ...

I know previous discussion rounds picked a theme for each book as a starter topic, but I was just thinking of a brief synopsis and a couple of general questions for the first post, and letting the thread go from there, as discussions tend to grow organically anyway in most threads and go off on other tangents. I don't mind doing the majority of them, but I would need a hand with some of the fill-ins that I don't have, and also the later Swiss books, as there are several of them that I've only ever read once and don't know well enough to do a decent synopsis.

The NCC has a lot of synopses here.

OK, I'll start a thread each week, starting with School At, going all the way through to Prefects. It will at least galvanise me into reading the late Swiss ones again, and I suppose I really should give them another chance...

I don't have quite a lot of the fill-ins, especially the more recent ones, so I will only stick with the canon books, but I'm sure anyone with a burning desire to discuss them will start their own threads. :D
