Hi, I’m Fliss

Age: 28

Location: Yorkshire

SLOCs etc – none, although a cat from over the road is trying to move in …

Favourite books – the early (Tirol) books and my favourite characters are the first CS girls - I wanted to be as lovely and competent as Gisela, Bette and the rest. My least favourite are the later (Swiss) books.

I was introduced to the CS when my mum bought me a 2-in-1 paperback of “The School at the Chalet” and “Jo of the Chalet School” as a reward for passing my school entrance exam (innocent days!) Later, I found a couple of hardbacks at home and started buying the Armada paperbacks. I came back to the CS a couple of years ago when I found some GGB books in a local Waterstones.

I found the CBB browsing online trying to complete my CS set – although most of it is shabby second hand paperbacks, I’m delighted after almost 20 years enjoyment I've nearly got a complete set of the series.

How do, Fliss. It's always exciting to hear about GGB being stocked in actual mainstream bookshops - it's like the CS is not quite dying out!
