Name: sunshine_daisy (Jackie)

Age (ish!): 31

Location (approximate - no actual address, please!): Hebden Bridge

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: SLOC - together for nearly a year. Took me to Hay on Wye for the weekend as a Valentine's Day present so I could spend two days buried in second hand bookshops even though he doesn't read much so I guess he's a keeper!

Favourite and least favourite books and characters: Favourite Chalet School book is definitely Jo of - I want to spend Christmas like that!

How you got into the Chalet School: As a child I read constantly and loved school stories - CS won out over others because there were so many of them (I didn't like reaching the end of a series, I think. Or else the idea of collecting them all appealed to my obsessive and perfectionist side!) A few years back I saw a couple of CS books in a library clearance sale and started re-reading.

How you found the CBB: came across it one day at work. Google search, but I can't remember what for. Lurked for a while, reading bits and pieces of things, and then thought that joining would be fun, so here I am!

Hi, Jackie, and welcome to the CBB! (I am the evil middle of the board at the moment, although that may not last much longer)

Oh, he's definitely a keeper, Jackie! :D Don't let him get away.

Welcome to the board.

Hi Jackie. Welcome to CBB. I grew up in Halifax, which is not too far from you and spent lots of days out in Hardcastle Crags.

I'm now exiled in the South East of England, but I'm still a Yorkshire lass, if anyone asks where I come from!

Hi Jackie :D Welcome to the board from another Yorkshire lass. I've been to Hebden Bridge a few times, it's a lovely place.

Welcome Jackie / Sunshine. This is a great board, look forward to meeting you around somewhere !

And as for Hay on Wye for valentines, that is inspired, he is a keeper I reckon. I love it there. I always come away significantly poorer though. I was just about to ask on the board if the CBBers ever gathered there, and then you mention it :-)

The drabbles are seriously addictive, as are the games and discussions.

Nice to meet you :-)

Any SLOC who will take you to Hay is to be cherished I reckon! Mine is just as obsessive as me on that one so I'm lucky there too. Welcome to the delightfully daft CBB.

Welcome Jackie - I envy you the trip to Hay-on-Wye; I haven't been there since the FOCS gather(ing) in Hereford nearly 20 years ago and have always wanted to go back.

Welcome, sunshine_daisy - love your name! I would love to go to Hay-on-Wye ... was it all horribly expensive? And did you buy anything? I hope you enjoy the board. It's fun!
