Name: Miles
Age: 52
Location: West Midlands

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: Married with 17 year old son and a pet cat.

Favourite and least favourite books: I've only read about ten, all set in Austria. Jo Of... is very vivid, I think and Exile very sad. Rivals works well. I don't have a least favourite, though I prefer books with a distinct theme/plot (however much the text wanders from it at times) to something like Exploits which was full of fun bits barely related to each other.

How you got into the Chalet School: An adult female friend of mine decided to recollect the set. This intrigued me. she told me to read Exile.

How you found the CBB: Googled "Chalet School forum"

Favourite characters: Joey, Grizel, Cornelia - all the loose cannons.

Hello, Miles - good to meet you in here, and we won't insist that you 'do a turn', as in EMBD's version of Spot Supper :D . Happy reading!

PS Interesting that you prefer a plot to a collection of episodes. I quite like Exploits, but such books are the devil to summarise, even if it does help in one's understanding of them.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I don't think my doing a turn is in anybody's interest, really!

Yes, I like the plot-based books - which reminds me: how did I not mention Princess?
