Location: In bed, probably
Name: Alex

Age (ish!): 31. Definately time for a new introduction

Location (approximate - no actual address, please!): Cambridgeshire

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: None

The story so far...:
Well, you might remember that I was a hospital pharmacist, and then I discerned my vocation to consecrated life and entered a relgious community. After a year and a half I went to live in Peru, where I lived for nearly a year. While I was there I got rather ill (long story) and so I was sent back to England for a bit of a rest. As I recovered, I (and my superior and my spiritual director) started to realise that everything was not right, and so I discerned my vocation again, and this time I realised that I was not called to consecrated life. I was sad to leave, but happy with this decision. I'm now back living with my mother, still working on recovering, getting used to life outside community, trying to remember something about how to be a pharmacist, and hoping to eventually go back to work. One day at a time.

I have no regrets whatsoever about the last 3 years, and fluent Spanish is the very least of what I gained in that time.

It's good to be back on the Board.

Nice to see you back, Alex. Sorry that things didn't work out, but glad that you're happy with your decision.

Hi Alex - welcome back - I remember your drabble very well :D

Have you discovered SDL yet? I know you've found Lime Green

Perhaps you could continue it there [hint, hint!]

Welcome back Alex. I'm sure your mother welcomed you back under her roof with open arms. Mothers always miss offspring! Take your time to recover before starting the next chapter of your life.

Hello and welcome back, Alex. Hope your recovery continues to go well. Be kind to yourself and don't rush (or allow yourself to be rushed) into doing things until you are ready.

Alex, nice to have you back. Sorry things didn't work out as you had hoped, but I'm sure the experience will help you in whatever you decide to do next.

Things have changed a lot round here in the intervening time but we'll welcome you back with open arms and you'll soon feel like you haven't been away! :)

Welcome back, Alex - and never think of those years as being wasted. I'm sure God had a purpose for it all, and will have something else in mind for you now. So watch out! :D

I hope and pray you soon recover completely. The board and SDL make a good pick-me-up. Buena suerte!

Gosh Alex - what a brilliant life so far! Nothing is ever wasted, so although I'm sorry for you that you've had to revise your original ideas, I'm certain that some more ideas will come to your mind and you'll have a great time - one way or another!
