Name: Doot

Age (ish!): 50 (This surprises me somehow, but I have checked, and it is so).

Location (approximate - no actual address, please!): Cambridgeshire

SLOCs/children/pets/imaginary friends: 1 SLOC/ 4 children, all more or less grown up now/ no pets/ a community of moles of various characters, who began by amusing the children when they were small, and have developed out of all proportion!

Favourite and least favourite books and characters: So difficult! I do like Jo, despite some of her adult characteristics. They didn't bother me when I read the books as a child, which makes them easier to tolerate now. I like Con,

How you got into the Chalet School: I was riveted by the "...still, grey and to all appearances, dead" on the back of "Mary Lou" in the bookshop when I was 9 or 10. I went back with my pocket money but it had gone and I started with "Problem" instead. I worked through the books in any order as I could get them and by the time I finished university had all the Armadas. Then got rid of a lot -why? So someone mocked!-which I have regretted ever since. Haven't read many hardbacks but they're on my list.

How you found the CBB: A long time ago via google, and have been lurking all that time! I had a stern word with myself and agreed to regularise the situation at last.

Thank you, and I'm wondering what I did to appear twice, and leave out a chunk of my favourite characters and books. Not terribly adept at this.

More favourite characters- Jacynth, Nancy and Kathy,Vi Lucy and Mary Lou in small doses. Don't like Margot very much and I can appreciate Jem's qualities but he is so bossy.

Books-I have a very soft spot for the wartime books and I love the domestic detail in "Rescue". The later books are nowhere near as good as the earler ones but I didn't let that stop me.

I think that was all!
