Traditionally at the CBB gathers, we hold a sale of works, the proceeds of which go to maintain the board. In the light of the recent bush fires in Australia, we are planning to send the proceeds of the sale to the British Red Cross Australian bush fire appeal. Some of you may recall that we did something similar in 2005, when we raised over £2000 for the tsunami appeal. This raffle has been organised at quite short notice, so we're not that ambitious this time, but hopefully we will be able to raise some money for the appeal, and some lucky bods will win some rather smashing Chalet/Girlsown-y prizes.
Current Amount Raised (08.03.09 at 7pm): £111.00
How does it all work, then?
Basically, take a squizz at the raffle prizes on offer further down the page, and decide which ones you'd like tickets for. Each ticket costs £1, so tot up how much your tickets are worth, and donate that much to the British Red Cross appeal. Then forward your confirmation email to the.cbb.raffle@googlemail.com, along with your name, your address and the items for which you would like tickets. The deadline for buying tickets is midnight on Thursday 12 March 2009. Please note that due to the rush in which this is being organised, people who do not provide information on the tickets they want will not be chased and will just have their tickets assigned to random items.
Can I donate something?
No, I'm afraid the deadline for this has passed. Buy tickets instead!! :-)
What does it cost?
Each raffle ticket costs £1.00. You may, of course, buy more than one ticket for each item.
How can I pay?
You should pay via the British Red Cross donation page. If you live abroad, please feel free to donate to your own country's Red Cross appeal or other relevant charity - just drop me a quick email to check.
When will I know if I've won?
The raffle will be drawn at the Spring Gather, on Sunday 15 March 2009. Winners who are not present will be notified by the following Tuesday; prizes will be posted out the following weekend. (The cost of posting prizes will be taken from raffle takings at the Gather.)
Who's organising all this?
That would be Liss, as part of the Ents for the Spring Gather. Any problems, email her at the.cbb.raffle@googlemail.com So, what are these prizes with which you tempt us so?
Ah, a fine question. They are below. Please note that these will be updated in the run up to the draw, so make sure you check back to make sure you don't miss anything!
