I'm loving this Xanthe. I've had such a good laugh, and I really needed one, so thanks!

I'd love to join a team and bounce into a book...do you need to know anything about me, or can you just scoot me in and let your imagination do the rest? Am willing to be disguised as anything you like (should I have said that?). :o

Well, there are nearly 300 of us on the board, so if we all put in 10 cents, then we could afford an hour of KB doing German for Xan, which should cover several installments at the rate she seems to write!  Sounds like a bargain to me ;D *rattles collection tin!*

Uni work not going too well - too much to get through *wails, sobs, tears hair* - perhaps not helped by amount of time this afternoon spent booking Pack Holiday for Brownies in August...

I've not had the time to write any, the bunnies don't want to play, and I will be back at Uni tomorrow until the 12th of March.

where are you going to send yourself? might I suggest you don't choose Exile as it wouldn't be very relaxing. Isalnd might be a good choice - nice sea air to help you recover?

No, actually I have two windows open at once and reply in one while the other is posting. And a minute is a long time in cyberspace. ;)

Think the first explanation was more likely - how do you have two windows open at once then?

Title: Re: Something a little silly ~ part three B
Post by Rachel on Jan 11th, 2004, 12:34pm
Lesley, you can have as many windows open as you like! Just keep clicking the Internet Explorer icon (if you have that!) in the tool bar and it opens a new internet window each time. You can theoretically be surfing a million websites simultaneously!

Title: Re: Something a little silly ~ part three B
Post by PatMac on Jan 11th, 2004, 1:37pm
A million would be very theoretical and confusing!  I usually keep 2 open but then the brain refuses to cope with more.

It usually does, Jennie. But mine has been having a hissy fit recently and throws lots back at me, and there are filters on the school ones, even the one in our office, so I can't send anything there. :(
Virtual chocolate is indeed lactose free, just as virtual ciabatta, and virtual pizza are wheat-free! 8oo
And on the subject of lots of windows, I normally have 7 or 8 open at the same time, otherwise I would never get through everything I want to read - I do get lost and confused quite frequently, though!! ;D

Well how about i brid your bunnies and you with the cushion and send you my copy of the book and it'll make up for the prison cell of the room and keep you busy so not need to think about it  :)

I have to keep waving the mouse over the little icons so the floating thing that tells you what page is what appears, 'cos I am always getting confused as to where I have just clicked off from. I quite frequently end up with 2 of the same thing! I'm trying to time-save, but it doesn't always work, surprisingly enough!!!!!! ::)

humm, no wonder my number of posts doesn't go up that quickly

at home, you open two windows and the whole machine packs in dramatically

at work, well, erm, seeing as i am meant to be workinig having too windows open might be a tad risky when it comes to switching applications when the boss walks in!!

Glad I'm not the only one who gets confused if she has more than two windows open!!  Last time I tried I had one for C&D and the other for the rest of the board that helped.  Then I ended up with two on C&D and managed OK until other people posted and I lost track of what I had read.

Kat, I daren't open more than one window at work either. Just have to remember to have something complicated looking to switch over too.
