Title: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Vikki on Nov 3rd, 2003, 5:40pm This thread may be needed if Lesley doesn't save Hilda............... Part one is here (http://members.lycos.co.uk/thecbb/Lesley'sadventures.html) |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Catherine_B on Nov 3rd, 2003, 9:37pm How about we make the punishment fit the crime tonight, and kill Lesley off by drowning her in our tears? *too glum to be properly cruel* |
||
Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lisa_T on Nov 3rd, 2003, 9:44pm How's this for fitting the crime. We cut'n'paste bits of that horrible bit of Real CS and exchange Hilda for Lesley and then have a nasty confrontation between Lesley and EBD! |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by KB on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:21pm Ooh, now that's fitting!!! |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lesley on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:24pm Nothing that you do to me will make me feel any worse than I am already feeling. That final post with EBD and Hilda has been written for weeks, yet I found it exceptionally difficult to post it on the board. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by KB on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:31pm Plot bunnies can be controlled, Lelsey. The fact that you didn't stop yours shows that this is how you wanted the story to go. Equally, you could find a way out of this if you really wanted to - but I believe you don't. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lisa_T on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:38pm *starting to feel- just a little- sorry for Lesley* *but on the whole agreeing with KB!!* |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Carolyn P on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:44pm I want to devise dreadful things and torture poor Lesley, but somehow just don't have it in me after reading that. Part of me understands Lesely, what the plot demands it demands and sacrifices sometimes have to be made. I do think she could have managed it without that last cruel scene though. That seems wanton cruelty and I just want to make her face Hilda and Bill in some way and make her explain to them why she had to include that last scene, with Hilda's clear eyes drilling into her. |
||
Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lisa_T on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:53pm Part of me sympathises too. The literary part can see that there's a certain rightness in Hilda being the one to not get through- that in a way it was inevitable. *BUT* as KB pointed out, PBs are PBs and can be controlled and we've all been begging for WEEKS that Hilda be spared. My only remaining hope is that she somehow be reunited with the school in the very last bit of the story, but even that hope is fading fast. Emotionally, I'm so upset it's worrying!!!!! |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Catherine_B on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:55pm I think the awfulest thing is Hilda going on and on, and Bill not knowing. It's just so terrible. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lesley on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:57pm Logging out now - crying. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lisa_T on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:58pm oooop- feeling guilty now! |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Carolyn P on Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:14pm Hope Lesley isn't too upset. In a way this is a compliment to her. We have all got so caught up in this story mainly because of the wonderful way she wrote it. Nothing dreadful has been said tonight, the worst was eother making her face Hilda, or rewriting her into her own story. I for one think that the story and writing are brilliant, cannot praise them enough. Just wish that what had to be done could have been done in a different way. Lesley forgive us, or reactions are from a sense of loss and breavement, and that comes from your writing. Just think about what emotions you have been able to provoke. Hope that you recover quickly from the emotional upheaval. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Rachel on Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:25pm I just felt so guilty I sent Lesley a PM apologising for my behaviour :( Maybe everyone could send her PMs of support - lets flood her inbox with lurve :D |

Better for Bill that she doesn't know. We've all been loving the story, but would it have had the same impact if Hilda had escaped? I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to think of a word to describe how I feel, I think Lisa came up with the answer when she said 'traumatised'. That was one of the most affecting things I've ever read in any work of fiction. |

I've also sent her a PM of support, having already asked forgivness above, sinned publically, apologise publically, that what happens in CS land. SORRY AGAIN LESLEY! The only problem is she won't see her in box until she logs in again. If any of you have her email, or better her phone, tell her to log back in for a little while. LESLEY, WE LOVE YOU. NO STRINGS ATTACHED. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lisa_T on Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:48pm I sent a message too! LOL She'll have a positive deluge of messages to answer when she's back. And i said pretty much what you've just said, Carolyn. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Carolyn P on Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:51pm Per the index she's back. Come on Lesley, please tell us you forgive us. I don't think I can go to bed till I hear it. I certainly won't sleep. |

lol - that's partly why I decided to mention that I had PMed her! The whole "admitting your faults in public" thingy has obviously been well drummed into us all! |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Catherine_B on Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:58pm OK, I'll apologise publicly too. SORRY Lesley, for being so nasty for so long. Your drabble is the best thing I've read in years, and your resolve in the face of all our bullying is quite remarkable. Please don't cry (or at least, only over Hilda - not 'cos we've been horrid). We all love you really! And you're real, and the Abbess isn't. (Painful though it is to admit!) It's just that your writing brought her to life so wonderfully that we've often forgotten. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Vikki on Nov 4th, 2003, 1:32am I think I'm very glad that I was out tonight!! I'm also not sure if I want to go to Real Cs and read what I've missed!!!!! :'( :-/ ??? |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Esmeralda on Nov 4th, 2003, 1:42am Lesley, I'm sorry - you did the right thing, |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Vikki on Nov 4th, 2003, 1:52am I hope Lesley's alright!! ??? *admits that if she'd been home tonight, she'd have participated in the haranguing of Lesley, and apologises for what she might have said if she'd been here!!* :'( *offers Lesley a hug!* :-* (and everyone else too!) |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lesley on Nov 4th, 2003, 7:05am Thanks to everyone for their messages - will be continuing story later. |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lesley on Nov 4th, 2003, 8:46am No, when you were torturing me it gave me a laugh! |

Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Catherine_B on Nov 4th, 2003, 8:56am *slightly worried about Lesley's state of mind* |
||
Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Vikki on Nov 4th, 2003, 4:12pm I'm now seriously worried about Lesley!! How anyone could enjoy some of the things we came up with, I'll never know!! |
||
Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Lisa_T on Nov 4th, 2003, 8:31pm *remembers that Lesley was still being tortured in spite of the rash of denunciations and apologies* *Advises torturers that they can back off now and starts to contemplate untying Lesley...when she's delivered!!* ;) ;D |
||
Title: Re: Lesley's Adventures continued Post by Vikki on Nov 4th, 2003, 9:28pm Sounds fair!! The torturing stops, but the ropes stay on at the moment!!! ;) |
