Sorry, everyone. This thread is the latest victim of the CBB's thread eating monster.

Luckily I archived it earlier today.

If you didn't see the last few have a look, they are hilarious.

If you posted on the new thread and have a copy, PPPlllllease repost.

Grizelda the grading bunny leaned back with a cool cloth over her eyes. “Thank God for Thanksgiving,” she moaned. “A whole week before the next set of papers.”
“Fat lot of good that does me,” grumbled Hugh the plot bunny.
Lenora the lipid metabolism bunny and Rosalie the reference bunny exchanged glances. “Now, Hugh,” began Lenora. “I know you’re disappointed that Rosalie and I have been called back on duty this week, but publishers can’t be kept waiting. Kathy’s got 39 pages to proof by the 28th.”
“Plus the 496 references,” added Rosalie smugly.
“But it’s not fair,” wailed Hugh. “You lot don’t let me get a word in edgewise. Even on the CBB Lenora gets to waffle about xanthophylls, and Rosalie throws around prunes and prisms references.”
“Face it, Hugh,” snapped Grizelda. “As a plot bunny, you’re pitiful. If you had anything to say, she’d listen.”
“Really, Grizel,” put in Rosalie. “That isn’t kind. You know Kathy advertized for a nice, gentlemanly plot bunny. No sex, no violence, nice escapist stories with happy endings. Hugh just can’t help being too polite to distract her from her duties.”
“Too boring, you mean,” sniffed Grizelda. “And what do you call that silly remark about sending GWB to Evil_EBD?”
“She hates GWB so much I though she’d listen for once,” acknowledged Hugh sheepishly.
“Well, it wasn’t too bright. That GWB’s such a moron he’d probably help EBD escape, and then where would we be?”
“I think we all need a vacation,” sighed Kathy, putting in her ear-plugs.

Thank you for re-posting, Kathy!!
Who else had posted? I can't remember!
KB, any chance of Hilde's viewpoint on your gathering yesterday?

Title: Re: Introducing Our Plot Bunnies
Post by KB on Nov 23rd, 2003, 11:15pm
I'll ask her. Hold on.

Oooh, she said yes. *hands over the keyboard*

Hi, everyone. This is Hilde. It's the first time KB's let me type for myself, so I think that means I'm a big girl now. *bounces excitedly*

I know KB told you about me being a naughty little bunny and waking her up early. She said that, as she'd set the clock for 7am, I didn't need to wake her up at 6:15am. She's taught me to tell time now, so I've got no more excuses.  :-[

She dried me with the hair-dryer after I promised to be a good girl all day, and I like it when she does that 'cos I get all fluffy and people think I'm cute. She put me in the playpen while she finished tidying up and gave me a magazine to tear up. I wouldn't want to be a person. You have to do too much work when visitors come. :P

Anyway, I got to meet Kathryn and Kirsty and Heidi [added by KB: Heidi is Adelheid], and they all thought I was cute. I was glad to see that Kathryn didn't bring Theo the Article thug, but it would have been nice if Heidi had brought Marie, her Plot Bunny. *sigh*  :(

When they went out to buy some books, I stayed at home and played with their bags and things, 'cos KB forgot to put me back in my playpen. I don't think she realised, 'cos I hid when they came back and she didn't say anything when they came back.  :D

I sat on KB's lap while we watched P&P. I've seen it lots of times before, of course, but not with all the comments they made. Some of them were funny, but I didn't understand the others and KB said I was too little to have them explained to me. They did talk about me sometimes, though.  :)

KB gave me dinner before they went out and I slept on her bed until they came home. KB took me when she drove Heidi home, and on the return trip, I got to sit on the passenger seat and talk about all the ideas I'd had during the day.

When we got home, she gave me a little bit of cake all to myself. I got cream all over my face, but she didn't get cross, 'cos I'd been so good an' all. ;D She put me to bed while she tidied everything up, but I waited until she came and whispered ideas to her for a little while before I realised she's gone to sleep, so I snuggled up and went to sleep too.

And today we're going for a drive to the country! 8oo Yay!

Oops, just realised I used too many smileys. Sorry!

'Oi, I'm not the article bunny. I'm the Handbook [thug!] bunny, the one who controls all the others during this part of the year. Don't confuse me with the whimps, Cecil the article bunny and Ermentrude the thesis bunny, who has thankfully decamped. Though Max, the job application bunny reappears every now and then.' *scuffle* 'What the hsdfkjatiug...!' *slam!*

Sorry about that. Theo got a little annoyed at being mislabelled an article bunny and jumped onto the internet. Not to worry though I've grabbed him by his ears and shoved him in the cupboard. And for all members of the PB union or PBLF, don't worry, he'll be released tomorrow ready for work.

*off to wake Cecil the article bunny and try and get some work out of him*

True, but Mabel managed to register on the board, while DRUNK so with Theo tied up at the back of the cupboard at the moment *muffled scuffling sounds* Just a sec.... *checks knots. 'Stop being a wimp. You know you'll be released tomorrow. Here. There's a picture of Mabel for you to look at.*

Everything's ok. Theo's bunny-gazing at the moment so that should keep him occupied until he's needed tomorrow.

One of our residents fell asleep with a lit cigarette in his hand, it set fire to some paper and before we knew it the alarms were ringing and there was smoke pouring through the corridors, and a nice little fire burning away.

Please, let this be a warning to those of you who smoke (I'm sure you're all intelligent enough not to be quite so stupid, but its worth a warning all the same) please don't smoke in bed!!

Thankyou for your concern girls, and everyone is fine (apart from the guy we had to evict - well, we didn't evict him staright away, but then we went upstairs an hour later and found him lighting another cigarette! - had to ask him to leave then)

The evacuation was engineered brilliantly by my colleague and I (though I can never get over the shock of the automatically closing doors when the alarms go off - its like in Titanic when the engine room doors close shut on the men)
and we had everyone out pretty quickly. Personally, I think its about time I stopped being a disappointment to Miss Annersley...!  ;)

edit: ooh look, I just did!  :D

Title: Re: Introducing Our Plot Bunnies

well, I am rather unusual...

ok, ok. Its basically just a ceramic bowl with a hole in the middle which you pour fire-gel into, then light the gel. all these lovely flames gush out of it. when I get my flat next year I plan to use it as a fireplace thing as very few student pads have real fireplaces.

Does anyone require a job-application bunny? I've got one going spare at the moment. Max is now redundant seeing I've just got a new job, starting Thurs! And does anyone have a strong (very) cage for Theo the handbook bunny as he's not going to be needed for the next fortnight at least. I wouldn't recommend introducing him to Mabel seeing he's just spent half the day staring at her picture!

Congrats Kathryn! Are you going to tell us what the job is? I like to know these details.

And Vikki, Desmond is very flattered to be asked to introduce himself. He's bouncing up and down at the moment, but I'll let him on to type you a message.

"Hello Vicky Vicki Vikki,

I hope I spell all this right, cos I've only just started spelling class and sometimes I get confused. I'm Desmond, the Bush Baby. I don't have a specific function, like all these bunnies, I exist merely to eat, drink and look cute! Mummy says I do it very well, and she's always grateful when I squash the bunnies for her. I daren't squash the planning zebra (sorry, can't spell his name) cos he has hooves and they hurt when they stamp on you. I have a lovely blue beaded collar, which is very smart and I sometimes get into food when I get too excited. Mummy cleans it for me though, which is nice, as plastic beads are murder to keep clean! I love to read all these drabbles, though Mummy sometimes has to explain the big words to me. They make me laugh. Sometimes I sneak onto the boards when Mummy is at work and read them then, which is more fun, cos I'm not supposed to. Don't tell on me, will you, I may get into trouble. Well, I think that's everything I can think of. My paws are getting tired, this is the mostest I've ever typed. *waves* bye bye xxx
P.S. I'd better click post before Mummy can read this and *look* at me. That's scary when she's cross  :)

It's just in a call centre at a gas and electricity supplier between 15-30/40 hours a week. I may hate it, I may like it, but it is only for the next few months until uni starts again. Even so, it will give me a chance to think if I realllllly want to become a teacher/stay in the education field.

Oswald the observation bunny is skulking under the table at the moment as I've taken a week off college and told him that while I may talk to Joan and Harold, the assessment bunnies, and certainly to Peter my plot bunny I won't be requireing his help this week.

Mind you I think he is very suspicious of what the others are up to. A large parcel arrived for Peter this morning and he grabbed it before I could investigate and since then the three of them have been giggling away. I think poor Oswald is about to get a suprise, the question is wether or not I feel like investigating further.

Can I introduce you to my plot bunnies, Ted and Fred? They're very friendly! Ted is my CS PB and Fred is my Titanic PB.

Amy woke up. The prodding that she had been feeling for the last hour had got worse and worse. She rolled over onto her other side and found herself staring at Ted.
"About time," he grumbled. "I've been trying to wake you up for the past ten minutes!"
Realising that he wasn't going to let her go back to sleep until she listened to him, Amy sighed.
"Ok, you've got my attention. What is it?"
Thus invited to talk, Fred started explaing to her his idea.
"Well, you see, what could happen is that while she's in Australia, Sybil goes to a party and........."
Amy listened until he had finished and then yawned.
"Sounds good, but I'll work on it in the morning."
  She fell back to sleep.
Resigned to his fate, Ted bagan whispering ideas in her ear.

Title: Re: Introducing Our Plot Bunnies
Post by Adelheid on Nov 24th, 2003, 9:44pm
Well, if its the one I think it is (and I may be wrong), KB spent some time during the marathon Pride and Prejudice screening researching various points of interest.

While I'm here:

Adelheid picked Theodore up firmly, and gave him two important instructions.

"Now, listen here, Theodore: first, you are to convey my thanks to KB for lending you to me, and second, I know constitutional law is interesting, and you know constitutional law is interesting, but you are not to bother KB with it.  She has more than enough to do with history, and German language, and keeping Hilde in line.  Alright?"

Theodore nodded, and screwed up his eyes in preparation for being sent back down the modem to KB.

Adelheid saw him safely down the phone line, and turned to the nameless Essay Bunny sitting on top of the stereo.  "You get to have most of the day off, today", she told the essay bunny.  "Unlike yesterday, when you skipped off on me and I had to borrow KB's academic bunny to replace you.  Marie and I are going to get to work for an hour or so this morning, and then I need to hunt up a Job Application bunny."  Adelheid raised her eyebrows and turned back to her computer.  "I wonder if Kathryn's Max is still looking for work..."

Her last words to the essay bunny were stern.  "But I'll be needing you again this evening.  We're going to start the final edit.  So no running away.  Is that clear, Lewis?"

In his corner, Lewis sighed.  At least he had a name, now.

Well, KB, I'm naturally very worried about Hilde, and I hope she's feeling better soon, but it was actually Lisa who asked about Hilde, and the drabble, not me!! Although, since we are on that subject, where is it then? ;)

Oswald the observation bunny spent the morning getting increasingly worried about the people around him. Carolyn had not got up and was missing a second day of college. The assessment bunnies were piling up books that were defiantly not Childcare and Education textbooks and therefore not what they should be reading and as for Peter, well, he appeared to be building something. Oswald could see only one course of action available for him. He decided to make an observation, a time sample would probably be best as it was suitable for a long observation and started to write…

11:15 Carolyn still in bed. Peter banging away at some wood. Can’t quite make out what he is making as he is hidden by a large box. Joan and Harold are surrounded by books and reading intently stopping every now again to show each other something and giggle.

11:30 Peter now sawing. Joan and Harold continuing as before. Carolyn is walking around with hands full of washing. Why is she not in college?

11:45 Carolyn now listening to music, a Spring Harvest worship CD. She is sitting down and listening instead if using it as background music and seems to have all the time in the world. What is going on?
Peter appears to be moving something heavy, and Joan and Harold are helping him. Peter is pulling whilst the other two shove. They are laughing at something Peter has said that I cannot hear.

12:00 Peter is now surrounded by glue and wire netting. What can he be making? He seems to be having some problems with his fine motor control as the glue is getting stuck in his fur and there is a small paintbrush attached to his left ear. Joan and Harold have retired to the kitchen and I can hear lots of chopping noises. I presume this means they are preparing to cook something.

12:15 Carolyn has received a phone call from K. It appears that K wonders why she has not been in college this week. SO DO I? Carolyn seems to be saying that she doesn’t feel too well, as she is not taking some medicine. That’s silly, why doesn’t she just start taking it again?? Peter is still gluing and becoming even messier and there is now a lovely smell emanating from the kitchen where Joan and Harold are.

12:30 Carolyn is now writing in a notebook very similar to this one. She is smiling, and keeps looking across at me and then to Peter. If I didn’t know better I’d swear she was writing about us, and with pen and paper. She sees how messy Peter is and giggles behind her note pad.

12:45 Peter ambles over to Carolyn and tries to nestle up and whisper in her ear. Carolyn picks him up very gingerly and sits him on the footstool before making some quick notes, presumably about what he is saying. How dare she listen to a mere plot bunny before me? Ha it looks as if Peter is going to have a bath. Serves him right. I wonder what that lovely smell is. Joan and Harold must have made something to eat.

Oswald’s notes appear to have finished at this point. Just as well, he didn’t do very well at keeping his own thoughts and feelings out of it. I wouldn’t have let him write one like that. Maybe I should keep hold of it and show it to him next time he nags me. I did bath Peter; he was covered in glue and rather in need of it, no matter how much he hates baths. He sulked at me after that and would not tell me what he, Joan, and Harold are up to. Having said that he did cheer up when I told him I would type up some more Christmas drabbles tonight. Oswald kept to himself all afternoon and is currently wearing a safety helmet and filling his pockets with useful things. I have just seen him pack notebook, pen, pocket telescope, night vision goggles, and pocket sneakascope into his pockets. He looked very worried as he saw the sneakascope, but they are never that trustworthy are they?

Seven years of helping Adelheid to write university essays, and six years before that of helping her with her high school work...thirteen years.  Over.  Done with.  Just like that.

Lewis doesn't know it yet (although I think he's trying to read this post over my shoulder), but he is going to be offerred the option of turning into an article bunny.  I have two that require editing for submission over the summer, and the possibility of co-writing a third.

“Fran, darling, pleeease talk to me,” Catherine knelt beside her Plot Bunny with a beseeching look.  “It’s four days since the last installment Alternative Romance, and I’m afraid the CBBers will forget it if we don’t post soon.”
The white rabbit stared at her with beady eyes.  “Now you want my help,” she said balefully, “But you wouldn’t listen when I tried to talk on Saturday, oh no.   Instead you dangled me by my ears, threatened to feed me to a spider, and generally humiliated me in front of the whole CBB.  Why should I assist you now?”
“I’m awfully sorry, truly I am!”  Her human knew when to grovel.  “But I did tell you I was coming here to work, Fran.  You could have stayed at home and played with Jack and Nathan.”
“In which case I wouldn’t be working today,” Francesca nipped viciously at the hand that was extended towards her for a caress, then flopped her ears petulantly.  “Anyway, it’s a public holiday – Idd-al-Fitr.  We’re not supposed to be working.”
“Oh come off it, Fran!”  The response was exasperated, “You’re not Muslim!”
“Nor are you – but you’re not in the office today,” the Plot Bunny observed pointedly.
“But that’s exactly why I want to work on Alternative Romance,” Catherine pleaded.
“Oh, I see,” Francesca was grumpy.  “I’m just a slave to be dragged out when it suits you, and stuffed into a bag or under a bed when it doesn’t.”  She turned her back sulkily on her human.
“No – no – that’s not how I think of you, honestly,” Catherine regarded the little rabbit despairingly.  “It’s just – Henrietta doesn’t come out when I’m at home, does she?”
The retort was swift, “Just because she’s lazy doesn’t mean I am!”

Catherine raised her eyes to the heavens for assistance.  “Darling Fran, listen to me, please.  If you won’t work for my sake, won’t you do it for the CBBers?  You remember Lesley – the one who wrote that marvelous Real CS – she sent us all the information we need from Richenda.  Wouldn’t it be rude not to use it?”
The rabbit mused for a moment, then turned back slightly towards her human.  “Hmmm, yes – I remember Lesley.  She’s the one who belongs to NAG, isn’t she?”  She gave a snort, “At least there’s one human who knows how to behave.”
Catherine looked decidedly worried at this train of thought.
“I tell you what,” her Plot Bunny looked more cheerful all of a sudden.  “How about I dictate that scene with Nell and Hilda that Lesley’s been asking for?”
“I – well – that would be great, Fran,” the reply was hesitant.  “But I thought that was coming towards the end of the story?”
“It is,” the rabbit gave a little skip.  “But it’ll still be useful.  And then I’ll dictate all the other scenes, in backward order.”
There was a groan.  “Fran, you know I’m dying to hear how the story ends!  But we’ve just left Nancy and Kathie agonizing about their faith, and whether they’ll ever be a couple again.  Couldn’t we possibly go from there?”
Francesca glared at her.  “You’re awfully demanding today.  Anyway, how am I supposed to write the next installments without a Bible, or a copy of Richenda, or even access to the internet?”  She looked sulky.  “You were the one who dragged in religion, anyway, I told you it would be a bad idea.”
“We had to put that in – don’t you remember what people on the Board said earlier?” Catherine’s face was downcast.  “There was no way we could avoid the subject at the Chalet School, anyway.”  She paused.  “Couldn’t you at least begin the installment, Fran, sketch the general plot but miss out the details from Scripture?”
The Plot Bunny pulled a face, “What a dreadful bore.”  She caught the imploring look in her human’s eyes, and meditated for a moment.  “We-ell,” she drawled, at length, “I suppose I might start work on the next installment.  After I’ve dictated the last dozen, that is.”
“I – oh well!  Thank you, Fran,” Catherine knew it would be useless to ask for any more.  The Plot Bunny didn’t have a charitable bone in her body.
“But before I begin that installment,” Francesca got the last word in, with a wicked gleam in her eye, “I expect a full and public apology on the CBB!”

Perseis, Ianeira, Akaste,Telesto and Kalypso shimmered slightly, their golden-brown fur blurring and sparkling, and promptly hoppped through the door and into the computer room.

Akaste directed the others to where Xanthe was sitting, and they hopped up onto the desk, Telesto going to far as to drape herself over the large pile of medical textbooks piled next to the computer to Xanthe's right.

"One more book," Ianeira squeaked excitedly, "and then the essay..."
"Ca- Mayn't I stay here a LITTLE longer?" Xanthe pleaded, her eyes glued to the latest happenings on the CBB.  "Nope!" said Perseis firmly, twitching her ears to emphasise her point.

With a sigh, Xanthe yeilded to the bunnies, and logged out, to go and do some more work on the Reformation...

Nothing more happened on Wednesday but on Thursday Oswald was enraged to see that not only did Carolyn spend the morning with Joan, her child development assessment bunny, but that she was arranging with Peter to spend the evening with him. Oswald was getting more and more worried about the time Carolyn was spending with Peter. She was giggling as she typed up the things he told her and Oswald didn’t like that one bit. Carolyn normally wrote serious stories where someone died and this laughter was a little disconcerting. What was Peter up to? Oswald had sneaked a look at the computer when Carolyn was upstairs and he had been shocked at the number of unfinished stories that Peter seemed to have dictated. There seemed to be a distinct possibility that Carolyn would never come back to him.

Joan meanwhile was preening herself. She had helped Carolyn organise her notes for the assessment and had been pleasantly surprised to see how much they had done. The word limit was going to be a problem, but Lance, the word-eating bunny would come and visit and soon see to that. Joan reviewed what still had to be done and made some notes before joining Peter and Harold. As she went to join the others Carolyn swooped down and took Harold into her arms murmuring into his ears and showing him some illustrations she had found in her daughter’s books. She agreed with Harold that they would spend some time the following morning scanning and sorting these illustrations and Harold returned to his lunch happy with these plans.
Oswald waited for Carolyn to come and speak to him. He was her most important bunny after all. His work would last for the duration of her whole course, not like some of these other bunnies that came and went in a few months. He worked hard and kept Carolyn up to scratch. He did lots of observations and nagged Carolyn to write them up quickly, knowing that they had to be done in a certain length of time and that nothing, absolutely nothing was as important as his work. Why was Carolyn ignoring him now?

Peter, Joan and Harold ladled out some of the delicious vegetable soup that Harold and Joan had made the day before, it had matured overnight. They had warmed it up and Joan had baked some fresh bread to go with it. The three rabbits ripped the bread apart and dipped it into the soup as the talked. Oswald thought he heard his name mentioned but wasn’t quite sure. He crept a little nearer and looked through his binoculars at the trio. His whiskers quivered as he caught a whiff of the soup. He could detect some dill and rosemary amongst the vegetables, his favourite. The other three got up and took their bowls into the kitchen and placed them in the dishwasher. Carolyn allowed them to cook their own food as long as they cleared up after themselves and this gave them the freedom they liked. Oswald crept closer to the corner they had been eating in. There appeared to be a little soup left in the pan, and a spare bowl. ‘They want to make amends’ he thought and hopped eagerly over to taste the delicious smelling soup. Oswald for once failed to notice something.

The pan had been placed in a corner of the room, under what appeared to be a pile of books and boxes where Peter had been working recently. As Oswald hopped up to the pan Joan, Harold and Peter were peeping out of the kitchen. Oswald picked up the ladle and began to help himself to the soup that was left. Peter hopped out, flanked by the two assessment bunnies. Oswald froze. Joan reached out a lazy paw and pulled at a piece of ribbon that was hanging nearby. This was not one of Carolyn’s daughter’s hair ribbons, as Oswald would have supposed if he had noticed it. It was connected to a door. The door of the rabbit hutch. The rabbit hutch that Peter had been building. The rabbit hutch that Oswald was standing in. Oswald watched in fascination as the door that was hanging above him slowly fell and trapped him firmly on the inside of the rabbit hutch.

“And there you will stay, until Carolyn has finished our assessments and Peter’s stories,” shouted Harold with glee.
“And until you promise to stop sneaking around behind bunnies backs and writing letters to our families getting us into trouble,” added Joan a trifle incoherently in her excitement.
Peter just grinned. He had known all along that a collaboration with Rachel’s bunnies would bring its rewards.

Take her out to a street with a lot of dogs - she'll work off the calories very quickly! ;)
Alternatively, you might just want to install an exercise centre for her...

Well, it was just a suggestion! Would you like me to send Hilde along to comfort Mabel?

She says that would be very nice, if Hilde would like to come! She could do with a fellow bunny to talk to!! :)

*brushes Hilde's coat, ties a nice red bow around her neck, gives her a little present with a warning not to eat it on the way and sends her down the line*

*leaves the two to get  acquainted*

Bronwen the BBB browsed idly through the bookstore, selecting the biggest, shinest, most expensive books in the place & loading them into her trolley.  She knew that Darcy was downstairs, doing the same thing with the DVD's.  It had become a bit of a competition, friendly on her part, not so much on his, as to who could rack up the most money in the short times Kirsty left them free & unsupervised.
She could hear Kirsty explaining, slightly hysterically, to the bank manager that she couldn't possibly owe that much on her credit card, as she had only bought petrol & a computer this past month.  The bank manager was saying that she was the only one who had access to the card, and therefore she had to have made all the charges.
Bronwen's eyes fastened on a book with a hologram cover, and in the effort to add it to the trolley, lost track of what Kirsty was saying.  Her attention was caught at the mention of her name.
"...Bronwen did it!  She's been hiding things from me!  That bunny's in so much trouble when I catch her again!"
Bronwen sighed & hopped to the stairs.
"Darcy, do you have money to get us home?  Kirsty's gone & done it now, and the doctor'll be along any moment to take her away..."

Post by Katarzyna on Nov 28th, 2003, 10:24am
Rupert had been trailing round after Katarzyna for the last two days trying to reason with her.

“look” she had said to him as they pulled into the car park that morning “at least let me finish the first story before you start yibbling on about then next”
“I don’t yibble” he had been deeply offended, plot bunnies were serious creatures given to lengthy meaningful statements not one line remarks.
“Well what do you call trying to get me started researching something for another story by twittering on about it to me all the time”
“there’s no harm in planning what you are going to do next”
“next, give me a chance, I still have about a month’s worth of term to go with Court”
“pah” Rupert spat “you know whats going to happen, all you have to do is type it up”
“I do have proper work to do as well” Katarzyna reminded him
“yes, but that’s not too difficult, particularly as everything seems to be slowing down for Christmas”

Katarzyna had not replied, she had simply picked him up and taken him up to her office.  After reading through the drabbles, going through the morning’s post and getting out files to work on she tried to get on with real life, unfortunately Rupert’s incessant comments and suggestions were getting to her.

“all right” she gave in “once I have finished Court I will start on the next story”
Rupert sat back on the top of the hard drive under the desk and nibbled on the edge of one of the sandwiches which were meant to be Katarzyna’s lunch
“anyway, I notice that you have managed to insert a load of potential drabbles into Court”
“I know” Rupert replied smugly “and by letting me read the drabbles  with you I have got lots of other ideas
Kataryzna groaned and turned away from the computer to try and get to grips with the latest law reports.  Whilst she was thinking to herself ‘I am going to get through at least the incoming post before I do any surfing’ Rupert was suggesting internet sites that might prove useful for her research.

Eventually she gave up with her work and pulled Rupert out from under the desk.  Placing him in the middle of the desk she stared at him hard until he began to feel slightly uncomfortable
“look, I have already agreed to write the next story will you at least let me get on with some work”
“but we have to finish Court, and I want you to surf at lunch, so when are you going to write”
“and what would like me to tell my client’s when they phone asking why nothing’s been done on their files?”
“you need more bunnies” was Rupert’s unhelpful reply.
“sorry” Katarzyna really felt she had enough on her plate with the one she had
“well, you should at least have a planning bunny, an organisational bunny and a legal bunny for work”
“eh” was all she could say.  At that point her work colleague, who did not have enough imagination to see Rupert threw a large pile of incoming post onto her desk, it landed on his head, the heavy medical reports in the middle of it knocking him unconscious

“at last” Katarzyna thought picking Rupert up and stowing him in the safety of her bag “I might actually get some work done this morning”
