Title: Hogwarts meets the Chalet school
Post by Marianne on Jul 9th, 2003, 6:46pm
I hope no one objects too much but i wrote started writing this Bizzare story but i'm a bit stuck! I thought i'd post it, so feel free to continue!

The Chalet school meets Hogwarts

A new era
Many moons have passed since we last looked on the Chalet school, the year is 2003, Helena Maynard (now Entwistle)  is the head mistress, her husband Reg is head of the boys houses, St Peter for the Juniors, St Christopher for the middles and St George for the Seniors. The school is now in Switzerland and is numbers have climbed to nearly one thousand pupils boys and girls from the ages of five to eighteen.

When our story opens Helena Entwistle is stepping onto the stage, she surveys her school, seeing many eager, young, curious faces starring back at her, she takes a deep breath and braces herself to make the biggest speech and announcement of her career; ‘Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls,’ began the headmistress gently and with supreme dignity, ‘I know we have always had Christian ethos about our school, I would in the past have always been the first to denounce witchcraft as an evil and wicked belief, but I hold this view no longer. It has been brought to my attention that witches and wizards do exist; they have a government, three schools and some of the most brilliant men and women you would care to meet. This is an extraordinary thing for me to tell you, I know, and I would forgive you for thinking I was mad. However it is necessary for me to tell you because two years ago the most evil dark wizard rose again and he is a danger to the world, you can liken him to Hitler of our kind but hits creature who goes by the name of Voldemort is much more powerful, he can blow up a street of people with one swish of his wand.’ She paused allowing the chattering and strange looks to subside then she continued, ‘It is my wish, that as a school we merge with a magical school in order that we can be safe, I have met the greatest wizard of the age, who’s name is Dumbledore, it is his school, Hogwarts that we will move into. The reason we must take such extreme and dramatic steps, is of course to keep ourselves safe from harm, but the reason we must keep ourselves safe from harm is because the wizard, Voldemort believes in the purification of the wizard race, yes, similar to Hitler. He will not stop at murdering all the non magic people, more commonly known as muggles I believe.’ She paused to take a breath, wondering if her school was believing her, she wondered if she would have believed Miss Annersley all those years before. ‘The reason we have been picked out to go to Hogwarts is that 0ur school contains the children of many powerful people, and, Voldermort is rumoured to be near here, biding his time.’

Len looked at the pupils in her charge and understands that her little ones couldn’t have understood what she had said but gone were the days when small children were treated like fragile infants.

‘Now, I want each form to go up to their dormitory, pack your trunk and then assemble back here wrapped up warm. We will be travelling to Hogwarts in horse drawn, flying carriages. Don’t be afraid if you see a giant man, his name is Hagrid, he looks after the horses, now HURRY!’ Len has finally finished her speech; her school is departing from the hall amongst much shocked and curious chatter.

Meanwhile, many miles away Dumbledore has his school assembled in the great hall and is about to make a similar speech. He realises that there are hard times ahead and that he will get much opposition for his scheme especially from the Slytherin camp.
‘Silence, silence please.’ Begins Dumbledore. Harry looked around at his friends, alarmed, it was a strange time for Dumbledore to make a speech, he wonders whether it has anything to do with Voldemort. He could do without anymore hard times.
‘Now, we have all thankfully accepted that Voldemort is once against in our midst and I know that Voldemort is not only a danger to our own kind but also to muggles. I have a dear friend named Helena Entwistle, she is a muggle, she is also the headmistress of a muggle boarding school in Switzerland, later today, her entire school will be arriving at Hogwarts. It is important that she comes here with her school for she is in the charge of children of powerful muggles and Voldemort is rumoured to be in Switzerland, trying to gain allegiance with the giants. I trust I can rely on my school to give them a warm welcome, you will find that your Dormitories contain a considerable number of extra beds.
Thank you very much’ said Dumbledore before leaving the school in astonishment.

‘Bloody hell,’ says a red haired pupil called Ron, ‘He’s really done it this time, muggles here! The Slytherins will have him for breakfast!’
Ron’s friend Harry nodded in agreement as did a frizzy haired girl called Hermione,
‘Now I’ve read Hogwarts – a history, and I’m sure this has never happened before!’ declared the girl in excitement, ‘I’ll just pop to the library to check!’ Ron and Harry grinned after her, they are accustomed to their friend rushing off to the library.

After breakfast the Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors waited outside in anticipation, reminding Harry of his fourth year when the Durmstrang and Beaubatons pupils were awaited with similar feelings.

In the staff room, Mrs Entwistle was experiencing problems of her own.

"Yes, I understand that we are guest here, Professor Dumbleore.  But you simply do not seem to understand that we MUST gather for prayers."

"Mrs Entwistle - Len."  Professor Dumbledore looked over his half-moon glasses at the new arrival.  "Religion is not something we concentrate on at Hogwarts."

"Not something you concentrate on?" repreated Mrs Entwisle.  "Dumbledore, that is outrageous!"

*my short, but hopefully sweet, addition*

The stalwart of the Chalet School, Matey, was also quarreling with her counterpart, and cousin, Madame Pomfrey.
"The family never thought much of you Gwyneth when you left Hogwarts some 70odd years ago to turn your back on the true healing powers that our family have always believed in.  I've even heard rumors that you use castor oil" she added with a shudder, "instead of chocolate to cure many minor ills - how could you have betrayed your roots like that?  It must be a come down to return after swearing you would never step foot outside the muggle world again"

'Well i dare say we ca work together, i wish you would divide the san..' said Gwyneth briskly before she was interrupted by Madame Pomfry, 'Its the medical wing dear, not the san, times have changed.'
'Well, can we please divide the medical wing, then i can treat my pupils how i see fit!

As the girls and boys of the Chalet School got out of the coaches they looked up at the great Castle fo Hogwarts.
"Firs' Years, Firs' Years - oh sorry - Chaletians, Chaletians this Way." Hagrid led them inside and up to a Tapestry of a barmy-looking wizard. There they saw Helena Entwistle walking up and down muttering to herself - to their surprise a door grew in the Wall and they went through.
Inside was a small chamber with two doors - the Catholics went through one and the Protestants through another. The Room of Requirement had provided Prayer Facilities!

Len looked around the room and nodded in delight. "This will do perfectly" she said turning to Dumbledore. "Why didn't you tell me you had prepared such wonderful rooms for us. Never mind that now, thankyou". With her thanks given Len walked around the two rooms. Strangely Len found that the rooms were much as they had been back at their old campus in the Oberland. She marvelled when in the Catholic room the music score she found lying on the piano top was one of the pieces by Nina Rutherford a very old Chalet School girl.

The Chalet school had their prayers, but then it was time for lessons, Len sighed when she consideredm what was to happen here, but to her utter surprise the room of requirement turned into a series of classrooms with all the resources any teacher would require.

Len was continuing to feel rather pleased with herself when she was almost knocked over as the door to the room opened and 30 owls flew into the room bearing mail between their beaks. With much screeching and squealing the girls watched aghast as they received the first of their mail deliveries at Hogwarts.

Mildred Hubble received a letter from her parents, one she had been expecting because she had left her umbrella at home. She knew what is would be about so didn't bother opening it immediately so put it in her pocket. However, her pocket started getting warm and smoke began appearing. What she, and nobody else realised, was that even though the letters were sent from Muggles they still acted like magic letters. She threw the letter on the table, and tried to blow the smoke away. But it burst open and she was horrified to hear her mother's voice shouting: 'Mildred, how many times do I have to tell you? Your umbrella is still sitting in the hall-stand. You'll haev to buy another one out of your pocket money. You might learn your lesson this time. By this time, regardless of the fact that Mildred and the remainder of the students were scared, she wished the floor would open and swallow her. She had never been so embarrassed in her life. Just then the door opened and Dumbledore stepped in. 'Ah, yes. I forgot to tell you a few things....'

As Nearly Headless Nick floated into the room following Dumbledore's announcement it wasn't surprising that at least two thirds of the girls screamed at full pitch.

"What ... what is that thing!" cried Len Maynard pointing towards the ghost.

"That, would be one of the few things I'd forgotten to mention to you" came Dumbledores reply.

"A few things?"Mary-Lou muttered to Vi, who was busily engaged in plucking owl feathers out of her hair. "Where on earth is this place."
On the verge of replying, Vi caught Miss Maynard glaring at them and dried up.

The Chalet school pupils and the Hogwarts pupils chatted merrily together and soon Hermione (i was going to say Marylou, but this is way, way way in the future!) and Cherry trelawny were chatting together.
'So, tell me al about your family Cherry,' began Hermione.
'Well, i live in England but i go to school in the Tyrol,y family is really confusing; my grandma  was Marylou Trelawny of the Chalet school, my mum died giving birth so my grandma, Marylou brought me up, she never married, so i have her name.'
Harry, on hearing this conversation, laughingly joined in,
'Your no relation to our good old divination teacher are you! Her names Sybil!'
'I am as it happens,' replied the muggle nervously, but lauging at Harry, Hermione and Ron's faces.
'You are?' said Ron who was the first to recover from the shock.
'Yeah, Sybil is my great aunt, Marylou's sister. Thats why Marylou came to the Chalet school because Sybil was coming here. They never told the Chalet school about Sybil because in those days witches were still being persecuted.'
'Bloody hell!' exclaimed Ron, a phrase he often used.

*I forget about the time thing. Can Cherry please be a lot like Mary-Lou? I just want to see Snape's reaction when he meets her and also when he's told "Don't worry, it's only Mary-Lou!" (or rather "it's only Cherry") I've imagined about half a dozen scenes involvng them already!*

***Umm...I am totaly confused about Cherry's grandmother Mary-Lou.
1) If she never married how did she have a daughter (Cherry's mom).
2) Is this some other Mary Lou (i.e. not OOAO) because our OOAO had no sister named Sybil.
I'm sure that this all makes sense, but I'm just not seeing it right now*****

***Sorry Marianne, I didn't mean to sound quite so critical; I was honestly just confused as I'm not really sure of the timeline here and thought maybe there was another Mary Lou (ie our OOAO daughter/neice).  Okay, I just went back to the first post and realised that it is 2003 so that isn't likely (too many generations to cover).***

"You see', continued Cherry, 'everyone assumed that my grandma was a Squib (those are the opposite of Muggles right - non magical people born to magic people).  But, think that she had some magic in her after all.  You see everybody always talks about the fact that she could get away with things that nobody else could get away with.  I reckon that she must have used some magic".

"Did you get any of the magic" asked Ron.

'Nah, don't think so, the magic has pretty much died out ior family, too much muggle blood, its nice to be here though!' said Cherry, and thus was accepted into the favourite Hogwarts trio, making it a quartette.

'So Cherry, are you people doing lessons with us, or having your own?' asked Hermione.
'Doing them our own, Mrs Entwistle is desparate to keep up our lessons'

*I personally don't think that the CS girls would have had separate lessons, considering the big fuss made in the books when other school demanded such a thing.  I think they would have tried to get along with the Hogwarts classes while offering ever-so-helpful tips =)*

"At least," Cherry continued, "some of them will be separate so that we can continue doing our lessons in French and German but the rest of the time I think we'll be joining with you."
Ron almost choked on his drink, so that Harry had to pat him energetically on the back while Hermione looked on disapprovingly. "You do leesons- how?" he eventually got out.
"In French and German. We have to be trilingual you know, because of all the different nationalities at our school so we 've always had 2 days a week for each language and Sundays we can speak whichever language we like. I'm not sure exactly how we will carry on with the system here- Mrs Entwhistle hasn't told us yet. Maybe I should ask her in a minute."
Ron and Harry exchanged horrified glances at this news. "They'd better not expect us to do that!" Ron remarked loudly, "It must be pure hell! Er- I mean," as Hermione shot him a pointed look, "Sounds interesting, knowing people from differnt countries... and stuff... er...yeah"
"Well I think it sounds like a brilliant idea!" announced Hermione. "I've often thought it would be much easier if I culd speak or write to Viktor in his language sometimes- it seems a bit unfair making him speak English all the time."

While the new quartette began to blossom in it's friendships, other friendships were also being made between members of Hogwarts and the Chalet School. One which would later be a source of constant dismay to Len Maynard was the relationship between Tia Roberts and Draco Malfoy.

Tia had always been a bit of a problem for the Chalet School. As a small child she had often been slightly pushed to one side in her parents affections because her elder brother was very frail so that she often felt neglected and would behave badly in order to get her parents attention. When she was only 7 years old, her brother tragically died and the full force of her paretns' affection was turned onto her so that for the next few years Tia became thoroughly spoiled, since she perfected the art of wrapping her adoring and guilty parents around her little finger. The spoiling process was helped by the fact that her father was a famous actor and she often accompanied her parents to film sets and other venues, where many people made a fuss of the pretty little child with such perfect manners, at least they were perfect as long as she got her own way. Eventually Tia caught a terrible cold as a direct result of disobedience and her terrified parents moved to Switzerland for a time with her. However Mr. and Mrs. Roberts could not stay in Switzerland permanently and, when a doctor told them about the Chalet School, it seemed like the perfect solution. Tia was pleased initially as she expected all the girls to look up to her because of her father's fame and her own undoubted good looks but she soon discovered that only a few of the more empty headed girls would pay her the attention she craved and her attitude caused a lot of touble for her at school.

On meeting Malfoy, Tia realised very quickly that here was someone who was used to being made a lot of, although, like her, he had problems getting the true popularity he felt he deserved. They were soon getting along very well indeed, swapping stories about their own lives as well as complaints about the people thay considered to be their nemesis: Cherry Trelawny and Harry Potter.

Together they hatched a plan to rid the school of their two foes. Tia failed to realise that young draco was using her for he hated muggles with a passion. Nevertheless Draco confied in her his dislike of the trio.

"You know ..." began Tia as she looked at Draco. "My father could probably use you in one of his films". Malfoy considered this carefully. While he had no time for muggles he did understand the importance of film stars in their world and fancied the idea of some additional fame.

"Will you tell him about me then?" asked Malfoy.

"I might. Actually I might wait till the end of term and see how we get along together before I ask" decided Tia. Malfoy nodded in agreement knowing that he would have done just that.

*Did Ruey want to become a PE teacher or have I just plucked that idea out of thin air? I'm just trying to work out who could be on the staff and I'm presuming at least a couple of old girls would be, but only those who were present towards the end of the series.*

*sorry if this is a bit long. I was bored over the weekend, got stuck with my own story and couldn't get to a computer while I was at my grandparents so I'll just type up the results*
After the meal the teachers of both schools met in the staff room for a chat away from their respective pupils, and it is to be feared that the the Hogwarts staff found the Chalet staff quite as strange as the Chalet staff found them!

Len Entwhistle heaved a sigh of relief as she sank into a comfortable armchair."Why does the first day always seem longer than all the others put together? Though I'm relieved the girls are settling in alright. I was worried about their reactions to this - situation."
Miss Richardson, or Ruey as she had been known at school, laughed at her friend. "What did you expect, my dear? It's all an adventure to them, the younger girls especially. Don't you remember the move to Switzerland? I wasn't there, of course, but I understand there was great excitement surrounding the move!"
Len laughed wearily. "You're right, of course. I don't think many people even thought about how far away from home they would be, and we all hated the age limit placed on it, especially since as soon as we hear the news all our crowd were terrified that Margot might be left behind! I suppose at least this time everyone had to come, so that was all arranged."
"And nobody questioned the traveeling arrangements!" Miss Martin, the daughter of Miss Ferrars, a much-loved old mistress of the school, said with a sly grin.
The Chalet staff all burst out laughing at this reminder of a favourite tale, much to the mystification of the Hogwarts staff in the room. Professor Flitwick and Professor Sprout exchanged a confused glance. Noticing the looks of bewilderment on many of the faces Mrs Entwhistle, choking back her own laughter, attempted an explanation. "When the school was preparing to move from Engalnd to Switzerland, a girl a few years older than us, called Mary-Lou, asked if we would all fly there!"
"And," Mis Richardson continued, "When Miss Annersley asked her if she knew how much it would cost, Mary-Lou replied 'Not a sausage!'"

Title: Re: Hogwarts meets the Chalet school
Post by Sarah_G-G on Jul 28th, 2003, 12:33pm
All the Chalet staff continued to laugh while a few of the Hogwarts staff smiled a bit uneasily but Professor Snape looked unimpressed. ""that was rather presumptious of her, wasn't it?" he said coldly, "I presume she was punished for her impudence."
"Oh no," exclamed Len, opening her eyes wide with surprise, "it wasn't meant as impudence! It was just Mary-Lou." As Snape, and a few other teachers, looked unconvinced by this none too lucid explanation, she continued, "Mary-Lou used to get away with things no-one else would dream of asking but it wasn't meant as cheek. She was always polite and respectful, it was just her way. We have her grand-daughter at the school at the moment, Cherry her name is, and she is quite similar in some ways."
"Really, "Snape said smoothly, "I must look out for her, seeing as she is something of a favourite among you."
As Ruey looked to be about to reply to this strange statement, Miss Martin butted in before she could say something she shouldn't. As she remarked to her great friend Miss Stavley, it would be as well to at least try not to offend anyone this early in the day!
"I was pleased to see that Cherry seemed to be getting on well with the people on her table today. She has been a bit lonely a times since Emma had to leave part way through last term."
The other Chalet staff looked grave. The previous term some of Lower IV had sneaked off to get some extra practice with the motor boats before the Regatta. Unfortunately, some of the girls, rather over-excited, had lost control of one of the boats and while attempting to save them, after having seen them on the lake, Emma and Cherry had been involved in a serious accident. Cherry had escaped with relatively  minor injuries but Emma had injured her back while trying to drag one of the younger girls to safety.
Len hastily gave a summary of these events to the other teachers before saying, "It is to be hoped that arrangements can be made for Emma to rejoin the school after half term, although that will be more difficult now, of course. But she is much better and the doctors say that if she is careful for the rest of her growing years, there ought to be no lasting damage. And Lower IV will never play that trick again!"
There was silence for a moment. Then Dumbledore, who had walked in unnoticed while they were talking, suggested they all play a game to get to know each other a little better. It is true that his own staff wore stiffly tolerant expressions and the Chalet staff were a little surprised at first but they passd the rest of the evening in this manner. During one lull in the game, Miss Richardson asked briefly about the boy Tia Roberts had been talking to at dinner but, in spite of the best efforts of the Chalet teahcers to talk about their problems with Tia and to encourage the Hogwarts staff to reply in kind, the Hogwarts satff seemed unwilling to discuss their pupils in the way that the Chalet staff so enjoyed, so the subject was dropped.

*I meant Tia to be the daughter of Phil Maynard and make friends with Hermione. Oh well.*
When the prefects emerged from their meeting, they were greeted with the sound of someone crying out for help and people laughing. Then one of the CS prefects, Rosemary Andrews, the daughter of Phil Maynard, heard what was unmistakabley her younger sister Lori. " Get off her right now, you pigs! You're being really unfair. How can she- OW!" Rosemary raced along the corridor and down the stairs. A small crowd was gathered around Lori, her best friend Stella Douglas and a boy that Rosemary seemed to recognise to be out of Slytherin, who she thought was called Draco Malfoy, Tia Roberts, a rebel that had arrived at the Chalet  School the term before, two large boys called Crabbe and Goyle and a girl called Pansy Parkinson. Crabbe and Goyle were holding Stella and Lori's hands behind their backs. Malfoy had his wand out and was pointing it at them both and saying "now, what spell will I cast first. How about a bat bogey hex?" Ropsemary wasted no time. With her, to think was to act. She ran up to Malfoy from behind and  forced him onto the ground, then went up to Crabbe and Goyle and kicked them. They automatically let go of the two, giving Rosemary time to pull her younger sister and Stella upstairs. Then she sat down in an empty classroom and procreeded to get the whole story from them.

Meanwhile in the staffroom the staff were enjoying a cup of coffee and Karens special cream cakes. The Hogwarts teachers were slightly concerned at the amount of creamcakes they were expected to consume at such regular intervals, all were keeping a close eye on their cholesterol.Suddenly, the door flew open and in strolled a tall, dark haired lady with her hair in enormous earphones and a wicked grin on her face. "Joey" cried Matey, "What are you doing here? Why aren't you in Switzerland?" (Well lets face it Joey has got to be in it somewhere!) "Suprised to see me are you? Well, you didn't think I'd let the school move without me, did you! Jack is opening a branch of the San in Hogsmead and we have managed to get a nice little house down there. It has only got 40 bedrooms, 10 drawing rooms and 5 studies, so we are a little bit cramped but it will do for now until the sextruplets Jackie, Jane, Jean, Janette, Jilly and Josie are a bit older." replied Jo. "Now," she continued " Albus I'm going to borrow your study for while to have a chat with all the Hogwarts students. I'm having them all for English tea on Saturday. Make sure they all bring their slippers with them and that they are there by 14 sharp!" with that the veritable whirlwind that was Jo Maynard swung out of the room leaving a somewhat stunned and silent Hogwarts staff behind her.

'Well, never in all my days... Who WAS that?' gsaped Minerva MacDonald.
'that was Joey Mayard, foundation stone of the school and mother of 22!' declared Matey.
'22!' exclaimed Minera
'Indeed, she has triplets, Helena, Constance and Margot, followed by three singleton boys Stephan, Charles and Mike, then twins; Felix and Felicity, fllowed by a little girl called Cecillia, then another set of twins called Philipa and Geoffrey. Next are the quads who go b the names of Margret, Maureen, Molly and Malvina, then a little boy called Harry and then the sxtuplets she just named. Marvelous isn't it!' said Matey, the Hogwarts staff all fainting off their chairs.
'Isn't that terribly hard work for the women?' askedMinerva, agast.
'It is, she's not strong and she only had a dozen maids at home. Of course the only the last twimns and the rest are still at home.'

At this point Len Entwhistle, who had entered the room in time to hear the end of the conversation, decided to drop her bombshell "atually Mamma has just told me that she is expecting another addition to the family in 6 months time. It means we won't see so much of her this term, as Papa will keep her heavily drugged for the rest of her time. They are hoping for quintuplets this time. If they are all girls it will be handy as Mamma still has all our frocks from the 1930's which will do them nicely". Len then sat back to see the effect this news would have on the staff. The Chalet staff were all beaming at her, offering their congratulations, meanwhile the final Hogwarts teacher gave up and slipped from his seat in a dead faint.

(I apologise if I am starting to get silly here, but I'm determined to have world domination by the Maynard clan!)

You do realise we could have the redemption of Voldemort if we set Joey, Mary-Lou and Len onto him, I'm sure they would make him see the error of his ways and turn him into a true Chalet School wizard!

LOL  ;D
Voldemort giving in under the sheer volume of the Maynard clan and associated hangers on!

Just think how many there would be, A chalet girl to meet him at every turn with a happy smile and a clear complexion!

After numerous, complicted and hushed conversations it transpired that a proffesy was made about the Maynard Clan which read, 'Before the final child of the second Generation is born the eldest of three, born on bonfire night, will give birth to the six who shall grow to unite Magic and muggles against the evils of drugging.'

This prediction had Reg, Jack and Jem (Jem must be well over a hundered but we better keep him in for the story's sake!) as well as the newer Doctors, Stephen, Charles, David, Mike, Felix, Geoff and Maurice all in a dither, Ho were they to contol the various women?

Len was visiting her mother in Hogsmead, helping her to settle in.

"Do you think that there are finally enough women in our family to stop the mnfolk trying to dominate us, mamma?" she asked.

"I think so" replied Joey.  "Why do you think I've had such a large family?  I had to do *something*, or we would never escape fromsuch dominatation"

Yes, but well, I think you had better sit down for this mamma"
Joey went white as she dropped onto the nearest chair, "You don't mean..."
"Yes, Con has had it confirmed that her octuplets are all boys. This is a real danger point for our plan, I think we may have to call a meeting"
"You know how rarely we do that, it is dangerous after all, and now even more so, how can we get all the family women to Hogsmeade without the doctors knowing?"

"I think we may be able to enlist the help of the people here."  replied Len.  "They seem to have some rather unusual modes of transport.  One way they travel is through the fireplaces!"
"You did say *fireplaces*, didn't you?"  spluttered Jo.
"Yes.  I don't understand how it works, but we could see if they can take us through with them."
"That would be useful" said Jo.  "There's no way anyone could be followed then"

'Rigto, you just get onto Albus and see what he can arange, if we can get them all to Made's house while they are at the san it might help.' said Jo thougtfully.
'Ok, i'll gte onto Albus, you write a list of people we are having and get some cream cakes ordered in. Those size 28 trousers are looking abit baggy.' replied Len very seriously. Jo nodded and set to work with her list...
Madge,
Peggy,
Sybil,
Len,
Con,
Margot?
Jossette,
Aline,
Maeve,
Cecil,
Felicity,
Phil,
Daisy,
Primula,
Robin,.... and it continues (i can't remember all the added names!)

*Daphne Bettany; Daisy's daughter; Lucy Peters, by default maybe; and if you are having Robin you should include Ruey, Erica Standish, Marie-Claire, Bride, ; Mollie Bettany.

How could male octuplets upset the plans? Surely there's enough Maynard/Bettany/Russell women to rule the world at the moment? ;D
Can't wait to see where this one goes!*

The following week Len appeared in her mothers house clutching a small pouch of floo powder. It had taken much careful questioning on Len's part to discover how to use the floo network and many phonecalls (Jo had insisted on some muggle inventions in her new home!) from Jo to ensure that all the clan women would be waiting for them in Madge's home. Len and Jo threw a pinch of the floo powder into the burning fire and stepped into it. With a whoosh they felt themselves being transported through the fireplace to fall with a bump on the hearth of Madge's fire. The women cheered softly as their leader appeared before them, many of them waving pieces of knitting and embroidery.
"Women of my clan, I have had grave news. The coming of the octuplet boys phrophesised to bring to an end our domination of the world is upon us." Jo had never looked so serious as she said these words. "The time has come for us to summon my most trusted servant to aid us in our plans."
The women in the room all gasped in horror as Jo, raising her arms high above her head, chanted "babius girlius chaletium truem putius on thou needlius and knitius".
With a flash a man appeared before Jo, and kneeling at her feet said,
"Your servant Voldemort is ready to do as you bid, mistress."

Yes, evil Joey strikes again.
I thought that the maynard women were going to reform Voldemort, what a wonderful twist to have him serving them in their plan for world domination.
Now, tell me, who are the goodies and who are the baddies in this story now! ::)

Between a Change for Con and this poor Joey has had her character and reputation dragged through the mud. Why don't we just start a drabble in which she becomes a devil-worshipping, drug addicted, child beating lady of the night and finish her off completely!  ;D

Voldemort, leering evilly at Len, said,  "Seven of you must form a circle while the rest draw a heptangle around them."
"how many degrees in the angles?" Len asked, producing an outsized protractor from her large brown briefcase (teachers, of course, carry absolutely everything with them at all times).
"Well... 365 degrees in a circle..." Joey said, "Divide that by seven .. that would be 75 degrees."

Eventually the heptangle was formed.  Voldemort transported himself to the centre of the circle and began to chant that spell, forbidden for three generations, that begins nulle expectore in omnibo, a Muggle translation of which was written up on the no 43 Clapham Common to Ealing and immortalised in the famous limerick.  (This bus, named 'festina lente' * and 'semper mutabilis', the bus which changed shape and colour almost as often as it changed number and which was last seen on the ishops' Castle - Montgomery school run some five years ago, were the last surviving examples of the genetic engineering of Muggle machinery by Wizards, having unaccountably avoided the Great Purge of 1973).
This spell, awesomely potent, binds those enchanted, Muggle or Wizard, to follow slavishly a fixed routine and removes from them all capacity for freedom of thought.
'Nulle expectore in Omnibo
Nulle iacere ex dais quando omnibum movare est
Nulle stare in dorso omnibi quando sede incomplexi sunt

Voldemort chanted, each phrase followed by
Nunquam homines liberere erunt
chanted in a chorus by the circle of women.
As Voldemort began the fourth and final invocation** that would lock men into a cycle of mindless compliance, the door burst open...

*This bus had a tendency to make somewhat circuitous journeys and once caused considerable amazement in the Great Souk of Marrakesh when it trundled through with its load of bowler-hatted and crossword- absorbed businessmen.  Look kindly, oh reader, on those who use 'late bus' as an excuse - they might have caught the number 43
**  And you don't think I'm going to trust you with that, do you?

And in rushed Harry, Hermione, Ron and Mary Lou. All four were clutching wands and were pointing them straight at Joey.
"You thought I would fall in with your evil plans Joey" Mary-Lou's voice shook with anger. "All those years I had to pretend to be just like you, butting in on people's lives and living up to your expectations. I was sent to your hideous muggle school to help stop this day from ever coming and I will, with the help of my son Harry!"
"Lilly, Lilly Potter" hissed Voldermort "I killed you 15 years ago".
"No, you didn't. It was all part of Dumbledores plan. I was given a time changer to enable me to go to the two schools at once. In one I was Lilly and the other Mary-Lou!"

Oh this is so good!  I had to fight hard to control my mirth, seeing as I'm at work reading this.  Finally, Mary-Lou is redeemed somewhat ...

Well, the poor girl is having such a hard time of it in second reunion I thought she deserved to be a bit of a hero in this one. Mind you there is no telling what may happen to her next!
;)

Suddenly Joey leapt forward and pulling a large wand from the pocket of her skirt screamed" Avada Kedavra" pointing her wand straight at....

Voldemort himself.

Voldemort crumpled in a flash of green light.

Joey turned to Mary Lou, Harry, Hermoine, and Ron and with a grin said "Well I always have to have the last word in any story where I am the main character"

"But mother" interupted Len, "You are not the main character here, Harry is far better known than you are."

"Yes, but face it Len he's a, well you know, a BOY, so he can't be the focus of a girls story"

sorry - hope I havn't squashed this story, but I simply couldn't carry on letting Joey be evil, I have enjoyed her being so, but thought I would put everyone back where they should be, I'm beginning to feel sorry for Joey and Mary-Lou

[I'm glad that Joey's maths hasn't improved since her Chalet days!  Her daughters would of course know that there are 360 degrees in a circle, and the interior angles of a regular n-sided polygon are given by 180-(360/n); in this case slightly over 128.  :)  An explanation is given at http://www.coolmath.com/interior.htm (their formula is equivalent to mine although slightly less nicely written!)]

The end of evil in the magical word had ended thanks to Dumbledores plans that he had laid down, so many years before.

I agree so I'll back you up. It was fun watching them be evil but I'm really beginning to pity them now and say "Well, they weren't quite that bad.
