Title: CS Alter Egos Post by Rachel on Nov 3rd, 2003, 1:20pm Well I'm very disappointed! My CS alter ego appears to have been wiped out in the big delete >:( Yes, I was Robin Humphries, and I had such fun with her! Who was everyone else? Come on, don't be shy! And if EBD Herself feels like making a grand revelation, we could always offer immunity at this stage? Rachel ~ the original alter egotist |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by PatW on Nov 3rd, 2003, 3:53pm Some of us have already confessed - I was Carola. EBD_herself has owned up too! |
||
Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by crashbb on Nov 3rd, 2003, 4:19pm If you are refering to my confession you have the read the thread (cannot remember which one) in which I confessed that my confession was a fake (attempt at reverse psychology which failed). Chelsea *who was Maria Mariani* |
||
Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Jennie on Nov 3rd, 2003, 4:45pm Maria Marani was the younger sister of Gisela Marani, the first Head Girl of the Chalet School. Maria suffered dreadfully from the disappearance of her father, Florian Marani, who resisted the Nazis after the Anschluss. We later discover that he has died/been executed in a concentration camp. Maria later became nursery nurse/mother's help to Jo's family. |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Vikki on Nov 3rd, 2003, 5:00pm Ummm, Jennie, I think Chelsea was confessing that her alter ego was Maria Marani? |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Carolyn P on Nov 3rd, 2003, 5:22pm I confessed, I was Madge. It was fun whilst it lasted. |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Rachel on Nov 3rd, 2003, 7:58pm Now I'm doubly disappointed! >:( When/where did the original revelations occur? Why wasn't I invited? Why am I always always the last to know EVERYTHING! Rachel ~ stamping her foot like a junior ;) |
||
Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by LauraT on Nov 3rd, 2003, 9:43pm When did the whole topic occur???! At least you got to be in it.... :'( Laura ~ muffles sob and rushes stroppily into corner |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Rachel on Nov 3rd, 2003, 9:53pm It was Lesley who started it, in "The Real CS". She killed Robin off, but then revived her at which point Robin gave a *pop* and crossed over into the Real World. At which point, she crept up and whispered in my ear that she would really like to put a wee posting on the CBB to tell everyone she was ok. Obviously, I couldn't refuse that after the poor girl had died, lived, popped and landed in Australia! (The ultimate punishment for the dear soul!) At this point, Robin also informed me that she would like a thread of her own on the drabbles board, so she started one up and lots of her friends came along to join her, Madge and Robin spent thousands of pounds on credit cards, KB got involved somewhere along the line (I forget where!) and it all progressed swimmingly and numbers increased almost as rapidly as in the first two CS books! THEN - I lost track and somewhere along there everyone seems to have revealed which characters they were harbouring, and Chelsea appaently lied (Yes! A CS girl too!) and said she was the evil EBD, and now we don't know if Chelsea is double bluffing us or not ;) And now I want to know who everyone was and find out I am waaaaaaay behind the times, but I was Robin, and I was first. So there! :P Rachel ~ did enjoy that time :D |
||
Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by KB on Nov 3rd, 2003, 10:19pm *lol* I was a very nasty Sybil. Oh, and Jo. Hmm, and Matey... The original thread was called CS Roleplay. It's in the archive. |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Trish on Nov 3rd, 2003, 11:35pm I never got to be part of it either Laura, though I did read the thread and it was hilarious! And what has Rachel got against Australia? "Ultimate punishment" indeed! :P |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by PatW on Nov 4th, 2003, 4:05pm Well, obviously Australia's the far side of the world, there fore as far away from the UK as you can get!! ::) What other reason is there? ;D Actually, having seen my daughter's photos, it looks a lovely place to live. |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by KB on Nov 4th, 2003, 10:39pm *still waiting for a reasonable explanation* |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Rachel on Nov 4th, 2003, 11:43pm <sigh> you had to go and say that when there is a plot bunny on the rampage in here, didn't you? OK, the reason being sent to Australia was the ultimate punishment for Robin: When Robin was a very little girl, her mother told her that she (mamma) would soon be going on a journey far away, and Robin would be unable to go with her. As she was so young at the time, Robin failed to realise her mother's true meaning and that this was just a euphanism for dying and going to heaven. As an innocent minded young woman, Robin refused to believe her mother would ever lie to her, and as she grew older, and her father talked openly about mamma dying and going to heaven, Robin became convinced that HE was just covering up a dirty secret in pre-world war two years and that her mother had in fact run off. Looking at her atlas, she discovered that a long journey from their home was in fact Australia. This revelation became a burden to Robin, and she was totally unable to share this knowledge with anyone else. It clouded her life, and she took her vows as a nun in order to escape her families painful past. When she "died" in the Real CS/Fictional CS and was immediately transported (oooh, is that a pc word to use about Oz ;) ) to Australia, she became convinced that this in fact meant she was no longer pure and an Engelkind, and it became a far bigger cross to bear than having Joey as her adopted sister. So there you go. The whole sad sorry truth. |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Lisa_T on Nov 5th, 2003, 2:22am *scowls* KB is an expert at crafty bargaining. *snickers at the Aussie comments* Well, without being rude, there's no denying that *some* Australians can have, well, weird ideas. Though admittedly they're rarely as bad as some Americans. My pet one is the Aussie woman who cooed over my mum's Northern Ireland souvenir calendar and wanted to know if a) we had electricity in Ireland and b) if we lived in one of those cute lickly whitewashed thatched cottages. Then there was the Aussie guy we had the misfortune to meet when we were out there. He did a little, but not much, substantial reading on Northern Ireland before willy nilly transporting his entire family here (to their understandable annoyance) and then quite literally declaring he was God's gift to NI and he held The Secret to sorting us all out. Bah. He didn't last long! LOL. LOL, and did people see that Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse beer advert on telly some times ago? It gave me a giggle. *now expecting silly stories about Irish people and then we can all swop silly stories about the English and everyone else! ;) ;D* |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Vikki on Nov 5th, 2003, 2:24am She's already seen Peace, hasn't she? I seem to remember her bragging about it!!! ;) So you can't use that to bargain with..... |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by KB on Nov 5th, 2003, 2:24am Hey, at least you don't get asked whether we ride to work and school in the pouches of kangaroos! And people are constantly shocked to learn that there's electricity in Oz! |

Title: Re: CS Alter Egos Post by Trish on Nov 5th, 2003, 10:00am Oh yes, the do you have electricity there/have kangaroos hopping down the main street type questions. An American once asked me (in all seriousness) if we celebrated Christmas in Australia. It makes it even worse when you live in a place by the name of Wagga Wagga believe me! Where about in N.Ireland are you Lisa? My mother is originally from Belfast, and her younger brother is living there now. *Half Irish and damn proud of it* |
