11.00pm - yibbling on MSN
"Charely, I'm yibbling! I don't have time to talk to you now."

1.00 am - just away to bed
"Ouch Charley, why do you always have to bite at bed time?"

9.00 am - Spanish Literature Lecture
"Shh Charley, I'm in a lecture."

"Yes I know it's boring, but it's essential."

"Charley, I know I stopped paying attention and taking notes after five minutes - but would you mind being quiet - I'm trying to catch up on my sleep."

10.00am - Library trying to write a presentation
"Yes Charley, I agree that it's a very good idea but I have to write this presentation. If you want to make yourself useful hop off and fetch me a Spanish dictionary."

11.00am - Talk on module choices for next year
"Yes Charley I know this talk is only essential in Bernard's (Spanish tutor/adviser of studies) twisted mind, but it's helping choose my courses for next year."

11.30am - Back in the library
"Charley! We're in the library! You can't just go around biting people like that!"

"Charley I've warned you about bullying Alex the Essay Bunny and Sam the Presentation Bunny. Stop it."

"Charley, I'm not writing anything that sad in here - crying in the library is strictly verboten."

1.00pm - Back home
"Charley what have I told you about depressing stuff? It makes me depressed in RL and then I can't explain it to people."

1.45pm - Still at home
"Charley I'm going to the gym in a minute, and I'm leaving you in a locked box under my bed. No arguments!"

Poor Pim!

*joins in giggling*
*sends scones*
PS: My 'real' bunny is in disgrace... she's being bad tempered and grumpy (and half a stone of grumpy bunny is not fun) so she's out in the garden 'sweetening'...

Lock him up without food for a day, Pim, then tell him he has to behave during lectures at least.

Oh, poor you pim! Hope that Charley will at least behave in lectures from now on!

Oh, and Bronwen the Book-Buying bunny brought home a friend who is currently locked in the filing cabinet. She bit me with a Swallows & Amazons idea, which is no good for this forum! Rolling Eyes

At least you've got one! Mine seem to come up with a vague idea and then b****r off.

#21:  Author: NellLocation: London, England PostPosted: Wed Apr 14, 2004 5:59 pm

Alex you're not the only one with PB's like that...there are a number of us!

#22:  Author: fioLocation: swansea united kingdom PostPosted: Wed Apr 14, 2004 10:20 pm

I tried tempting the pb living in Jonathans room with Easter Egg but he/she wasn't having any of it!!!!!! Anyone got any ideas on how I can catch him/her?

#23:  Author: DonnaLocation: Liverpool PostPosted: Fri Apr 16, 2004 12:41 am

My small sparkling purple leaf (name of Algernon) is very well behaved, and only has inspiration when I have time to write it. This is why my one and only drabble is happily languishing at the bottom of C&D. *g*

*goes off to reward Algernon for being such a good bunny, and passes condolences onto pim for the bad behaviour of Charley* Very Happy

Well, I opened the drawer a crack yesterday & hastily shoved a handful of broken chocolate in. That should last her for the weekend Wink . She managed to bite me again - does anyone want a S&A PB who is fixated on John & Nancy?

#25:  Author: Kathy_SLocation: midwestern US PostPosted: Fri Apr 16, 2004 2:50 am

*suspicious*
And just what do you mean about John and Nancy?

*already have an S,A & Ds small sparkling purple leaf, thank you very much*
(But Hugh can't even get them to deal with the CS guides camped nearby. Romantic entanglements would give him an apoplexy, if not worse.)

#26:  Author: KirstyLocation: Melbourne, Australia PostPosted: Fri Apr 16, 2004 4:38 am

Just that the PB (who will remain nameless if I have anything to do with it!) thinks that they are "made" for each other. And she insists on having the setting during Great Northern?, which isn't at all helpful as I've only read it the once.

*kicks filing cabinet drawer in frustration*

*wails* And I managed so successfully to mutate Bronwen from a PB to a Book-Buying bunny. bawling

Assignations in Roger’s Pict-house while collecting heather for the hide? Interference by savage and/or jealous Gaels? Romantic interlude watching the divers nesting? Elaborate betrothal with The McGinty officiating and the piper whose breath Roger knocked out playing Mairee’s Wedding?

*probably not* ROFL

Thanks so much Kathy *sarcastic smilie* That's not helping a bit! Wink I can just see myself writing all weekend rather than doing housework.

Actually, that might not be a bad thing... Wink

And it would be fun to read!

I was so disappointed last month, when I clicked on a Tarboard post provocatively titled "Drabble on AR" -- and found a quote about Ransome from Margaret Drabble. Obviously my corruption by the CBB is complete.

#30:  Author: KirstyLocation: Melbourne, Australia PostPosted: Fri Apr 16, 2004 6:06 am

All right, I'll give it a go then.

I've taken to to referring to the mindless burbling my friends & I do on the phone as "yibbling". And as I already use a number of CS expressions, I'm considered fairly mad by them (I'm not rich enough to be eccentric Laughing )
And what a disappointment that it wasn't a "real" drabble! I saw a book the other day by a 'someone' Drabble. Had to have a flick through just because of the name.

#31:  Author: AlexLocation: Home again PostPosted: Fri Apr 16, 2004 8:42 pm

I said "wibble" yesterday.

Twice.
