The girl seated at the computer gives a huge sigh and turns to the rabbit sitting next to her. “Now what shall I do with her?”
The rabbit pauses - he has been shovelling lettuce into his mouth as fast as he is physically able in the hope of finding inspiration - and looks thoughtful. “How about…Matey going on a rampage with a missile launcher?”
“No.”
“Murderous middles?”
“No!”
“A new doctor at the San, then, name of Venables…”
“No!" says the girl firmly. “This isn’t FCS, you know! Get your thinking cap on - you got me into this mess, so you’re going to get me out of it!”
“Kill her off,” remarks the second rabbit. He has black fur and is reclining in an armchair, idly inspecting his claws.
The girl glares at him. “Wasn’t Kitty enough for you?”
“Nope.”
“Well, tough. I think Esther’s suffered enough already. Now shut it, or it’s the pot for you, mister!”
“Hey, don’t blame me!” says the black rabbit, aggrieved. “I wanted you to write the Odette drabble…”
