EBD_herself was/is Rachel the Witch

A Moral Tale

The young demon chortled
And babbled with glee
While making report
To the powers that be.
"We've got it," he cheered.
"This time, I guarantee,
We can finally scupper
That danged CBB."

"Talk sense," grumped Fiend Senior.
"There's no progress yet.
They're more tight-knit than ever,
Now they've all met."

"That's just it," exclaimed Junior.
"The Gatherers, yes.
But the rest are just ripe
For an unholy mess.
Already they think
That their Gatherer friends
Have gone too, too exclusive,
And where will it end?

They set up their own chat room
These Gatherer folks
And proceeded to yibble
And share their "in jokes,"
While the outsiders,
Off on the commoners' list
Wondered why they heard nothing
From those they had missed.

Then we got some more help
From that EBD geek
Who continues to tease
Though it's over a week
Since the chosen ones heard.
So their patience is thin
Why, they're threatening bookends.
That's just to begin.

Just wait till they hear
That the ringleaders there
Used their photos for dartboards
While they, unaware,
Thought their pitiful tributes
Would make them a part
Of this Gathering business.
They'll take it to heart."

Meanwhile in the staff room
There was great concern.
"I don't like what I'm hearing,"
said Hilary Burn
"Tis against our traditions.
Sure, t'will have to stop,"
Quoth Biddy, engaged
In a most fearful strop.

Then potential solutions
Flew thick and flew fast.
"Castor oil!" "Sides to middle!"
"A talk unsurpassed!"
"Reduce them to flinders,"
Another one said.
"Bang together the lot
Of their idiot heads!"

Then Miss A donned her thoughtfulest
Headmistress hat.
"It's mainly just thoughtlessness.
I'm sure of that.
The girls will come through,
As they always do here
If we just put a flea
In the right prefect's ear."

Sure enough, within hours
Appalled at their lapse
The Gatherers vowed
They might make up, perhaps,
If they rushed things to Kathye
So she could prepare
Such a site, everybody
Would think they were there.

And with faces that varied
From crimson to beet
Everybody shook hands.
It was all very sweet.

Then united once more,
The whole blooming rabble
Proceeded to huggle
And yibble and drabble.
They all felt much better
Except the poor imp
Who escaped from the huggles
Despondent and limp.

You would have only known a day sooner. I don't read Tara either but someone finally said to look at Tara, on the "Indulge" me thread.

I knew people (me included) were getting frustrated by not knowing, so I thought I'd make it really obvious, so there were no more excuses for us!
