#1: An FCS for Kat... (COMPLETE) Author: pimLocation: St Andrews (right next to the beach) PostPosted: Mon Oct 18, 2004 5:45 pm

Matron looked at the small girl standing in front of her, shook her head, sighed softly to herself and reached into the cupboard behind her.

“Really Victoria,” she said sternly. “Of all the absolutely preposterous things you have done throughout your career here, this probably tops them all.”
“Vikki,” muttered the girl under her breath.
Matron glared. “We’ll have none of that nonsense now Victoria, it’s a perfectly good name.”

She turned her back again and selected the large bottle from the top shelf. Vikki shuddered at the sight of it; it was one she had had the misfortune to see once too often, just not usually for this reason. She wibbled inwardly but knew that there was no way she could show this in front of Matron, who by now was caressing the large bottle lovingly. Vikki smothered a giggle at this sight and was soon corrected by Matron’s steely glare as she poured out some of the vile smelling liquid. Vikki winced as Matron forced a spoonful on her knowing full well that the taste would remain with her at least until dinner time.

“Really Victoria, we can’t be having you behaving in this manner, let this be a lesson to you.”
“But I don’t understand,” wailed Vikki.
“Well my dear,” replied Matron with a wicked twinkle in her eye. “Posting on both your drabbles in one day, it’s just far, far too far fetched. It can’t be good for you.”
Vikki’s eyes boggled. “But… but…” she began to protest, but in vain.
“Now Victoria, after that castor oil I recommend you go and have a nice lie down to think over what you’ve done. You’ll have caused a great deal of shock to a lot of people by behaving in this manner.”

Matron was stopped short by a knock on the door. She called to bid the person enter, and Kat the Head Girl crept into the room with a rather shame faced Gem behind her.

“Please Matron,” began Kat. “Miss Annersley asked me to bring Gem to you as she’s been leaving a proliferation of cliffs around the place.”
“Thank you Kat,” said Matron as she turned to Vikki. “Well off you go Victoria, and just think before you act in future!”

It was a grateful Vikki who scuttled away after Kat leaving Gem to face Matron.

LOL! Love it Pim.... now, what can we come up with? Twisted Evil

ETA: By a joint effort we have succeeding in finding out Gem's real name.... Gemberta Tallulah Cosmina.

We also discovered that a distant Great-Aunt wanted her to be called 'Dinosaurs only roam when the high noon sun hits the glinting exponential glimmering magicness that would be the hypothetical heaven' and greets her as such whenever they meet.

It's tempting, I quite feel like being evil tonight. *wonders how long Gem will ignore her if she spills* Let's just say I take great pride in calling her Gemma when we're arguing. Laughing Considering her middle names, I can't be that cruel... yet. Shocked

#32:  Author: VikkiLocation: Sitting on an iceberg, freezing to death!!! PostPosted: Tue Oct 19, 2004 8:48 pm

Gemma Frances Carolyn?

Someone told you, didn't they, Vikki? I personally love the name Carolyn, it's just the fact that Gem was named after our great-grandfather that amuses me. Neutral

#45:  Author: VikkiLocation: Sitting on an iceberg, freezing to death!!! PostPosted: Tue Oct 19, 2004 9:23 pm

I think Gem HAD actually mentioned it somewhere a while ago, and it suddenly clicked back into my memory!

Lisa, the problem is that it inevitably gets lengthened to Gemima! No idea why, my teachers were apparently stupid. Confused And the reason why Cath found Football Club so funny was because I am truly useless at sports - as proven by events at SG Wink

Love this - giggling wildly and thinking about my own name...which is ok just too long for most forms and infinately better than most of the things my parents have since said they thought about calling us!!

#56:  Author: KatLocation: Swansea PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:23 pm

So what's yours Nell?

I know it's Catherine/variation of - but what's the rest??

#57:  Author: NellLocation: London, England PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:30 pm

Catherine Margaret Susanna...not too bad and at least it distinguishes me from all those other Taylors!

#58:  Author: KatLocation: Swansea PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:36 pm

Lol, true!

It's nice name though - at least you're not named for a cartoon character Embarassed

Vikki know's my first middle name (the official one) but not the other one!!

#59:  Author: NellLocation: London, England PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:40 pm

It is nice, I like it - and its better its better than my brothers who got the inheited family name (only given to boys, thankfully).

Is the offical one the cartoon character or is it the other one? Would you care to enlighten us (or specifically me - cos I'm curious! Rolling Eyes ) or shoudl we guess????

Muttley??? Wink

#60:  Author: KatLocation: Swansea PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:47 pm

Not sure whether to be offended that I've been called a dog or laugh at the image or a Kat-Dog Razz

What's the inherited name? (also curious and nosey!!)

The official one is a normal name - it's nice, but doesn't suit me at all.
The unofficial one is a real name, it's just quite elaborate...

#61:  Author: NellLocation: London, England PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:51 pm

Ok - I am as above, my brother is Christopher David Carruthers (my dad also having the Carruthers, my grandfather being David Carruther and his Dad something David Carruthers and so on...) interestingly (or not) my Susanna comes from the wife of the first of the Carruthers and who gives me my very loose relationship to the current Earl of Mount Edgecombe! My little sis's name is quite normal but can be shorten (by my dad) to Becca-Lottie-Lou which she hates!!!

And I quite liked the idea of a Kat-Dog and loved Darstedly and Muttley...

And am now intrigued as to what the middle names could be...

#62:  Author: KatLocation: Swansea PostPosted: Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:56 pm

Relations in high places - can come in useful!! Wink

Keep guessing though...

Have we given up on guessing Kat's unofficial name then? I personally have and Ally is being irritatingly close-mouthed on the subject Wink

#96:  Author: JosieLocation: London PostPosted: Fri Oct 22, 2004 1:07 pm

Shhh, don't tell her Gem, but working on the theory that she really wants to tell us and if we pretend we're not interested she'll not be able to hold it in any longer Wink

*thinks that this theory has potential to backfire but chooses to ignore that right now!*

Oh yes, ((Nell)) and promises to keep an eye open for all of your motivations.

Make sure you get someone to help you, Nell!! It sounds like the last thing you need to do at the moment is to hurt yourself *stern look* Unless it was a non-painful and non-dangerous injury which nevertheless required lots of recovery (read: CBB) time during which the work fairies got everything done for you - whilst you got paid, of course! Wink

Hope open day goes well tomorrow, and huggles for the weekend if you won't be able to get online.

I think you're right there Josie!!

In 21 years, only 3 people aside from my Mum, Dad and sister have ever known it. So including Ally and Vikki and evil nearly-but-very-thankfully-not godmother, that makes 6 people in my whole life who know the name!!

So pretty slim chances of you ever finding out! Twisted Evil

*Vikki and Ally, remember you have both promised to never reveal it*
