CSI Hampshire
The CBB -> Cookies & Drabbles

#1: CSI Hampshire Author: MoominPapaLocation: West London PostPosted: Sun Jul 25, 2004 9:10 pm

Location: 3.00am Winchester Cathedral

The rain splashed down the hood of CSI Grinsome as he heaved his body up to look into the dumpster. Peering into the darkness using a torch he could make out the normal discarded fast food cartons & high street rubbish spilling out of the split black plastic bags.

He shouted back to his colleague, ‘you said uniform found the human head in here?’ CSI Clegg replied ‘yup! well what was left of a head anyway, it was pretty hard to tell at first they thought they found animal remains’. ‘Come up here and give me a hand’ commanded Grinsome, Clegg heaved up - the rain pounding even harder on the plastic bin liners.

The two men pulled at the rattling bags, suddenly a cold grey hand flopped out of a tear. Grinsome quickly photographed its position then using his latex gloved hands pulled away at the tear, the rubbish inside avalanched it way to freedom at the bottom of the dumpster, revealing its gruesome secret.

‘That’s got to be several body parts from different people there’ said Clegg in horror. ‘Lets not make any hasty decisions till we get these back to the lab’ replied Grinsome ‘for now photograph their positions, and make arrangements to take the entire contents of the dumpster back’.

‘Its these type of cases that give me the heebie-jeebies’ moaned Gregg, ‘that’s no heebie-jeebies’ retorted Grinsome prising out the torn cover of a chalet school book from the dead hands grasp, ‘it’s the EBDs!’

- que suitable WHO music, aerial of shots of Winchester, people in powerboats in Portsmouth Harbour, other people shining torches in dark, general forensic shots etc. etc.

You do realise that if you get him REALLY hooked you'll get less time on the CBB? That is, unless you have two "Click for more information about computers". I speak from experience - I got my sister hooked on a Buffy board and only realised later that it led to my time online being halved!

Didn't know RTW was on holiday - clever of Darren though, if he did it on purpose!

#23: Who's body is it anyway? Author: MoominPapaLocation: West London PostPosted: Mon Jul 26, 2004 9:47 pm

Subtitle:Who's body is it anyway?

Location: Crime Lab Autopsy Room 4.30am

‘What have you got for me Doc?’, said Grinsome to the white coated MD. ‘quite a collection actually’ replied Dr Jack pointing at the various body parts laid out on the stainless steel table. ‘It almost reminds me of the delicatessen counter’ said Grinsome. ‘Funny that’ said Dr Jack, ‘because that’s exactly how they died, we found teeth marks on the bones and in the flesh’. ‘Enough to get some impressions from?’ queried Grinsome ‘I’ve got the techies on it now’ responded Dr Jack.

‘Anything else?’ Grinsome pushed, ‘Well you have parts from as many as six individuals, which appear from the measurements to have all been male’ said Dr Jack. ‘All male?’ said Grinsome, ‘That’s not all’ said Dr Jack ‘there was very little blood too, like they’d had been ‘drained’. ‘That’s going to make the DNA tests harder’ said Grinsome ‘have you done the finger nail scrapings from what fingers we do have?’ ‘Yes, found some very strange stuff, sent it lab for testing too’ replied Dr Jack.

‘So any idea how they might have died?’ said Grinsome. ‘the biggest clue would be from the head uniform found’ said Dr Jack ‘right there, behind where the left ear would have been, an impact injury, smashing the skull causing it to fracture into the brain knocking them out instantly’. ‘Without the rest of the heads, it would only be an assumption how the rest were disabled’. ‘I asked how they died, you’ve just told me how they were disabled’ said Grinsome. ‘Oh, it can be fairly safe to assume that they were eaten alive, although they probably wouldn’t have been conscious at the time’ said Dr Jack. ‘So what your telling me is that I’m looking at is the remains of six males who have been eaten alive’ recounted Grinsome ‘looks that way at the moment’ said Dr Jack.

Back in his office Grinsome gathered his team; Clegg, Sneed, & Frizzle . ‘Get me the CCTV footage around Winchester Cathedral, not just the municipal stuff but any shops or car parks that over look that location. Get on the internet and tell me what you can find out about Chalet School & EBD. Pull the stats on reported missing male persons for the last month and go through the rest of the rubbish from that dumpster with a fine toothcomb - finally can somebody get me a coffee, its going to be a long night!’

Mind you, one of the most important questions is: which of you girls didn't finish up her nice dinner? Obviously someone has been leaving some of her meat on her plate.

Will the culprit please own up?
