I spoke too soon about the PB's.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She was overwhelmed by her feelings of love and pride; love for the child in her arms, and pride at being chosen.

Her parents were there, too, and the rest of the family. The service was beautiful. It was typical of Sybil ánd Hugh that they had arranged such a lovely event. They had had the church decorated with flowers, and the party afterwards had been lovely.

But what Josette really remembered was the sensation of holding her little nephew in her arms and presenting him to the vicar. The baby looked lovely, his gown a tribute to his mother's skill with a needle, and his smiling little face as he cooed at everyone would always be with her. Best of all, big David and grown-up Tim had been there, the proud godfathers. But it was she who had held him during the service, and it was an experience she would never forget.

She would also never forget the smiles on the face of the congregation, for the baptism had been part of Matins, and everyone there had joined in to welcome little David Timothy.

It was definitely one of the best days of her life, and one to remember when she was an old woman.

Aww sweet!

I still remember how I felt when I held my baby niece aged 1 day. It was so overwhelming.
