I think this says it all! I read Skelton Hall on Raya's site - and must admit I found it rather a formulaic story. It seems to be aimed at a younger audience than the CS series, and didn't like it - or it's sequel - very much!

Is this anything to do with Diana Skelton? Liz

No Liz, completely different, I would agree that it seems to be younger than CS - definately lacks the staff side that I like with the CS books

I agree that this is a lighter tale than CS, but I still enjoyed it.

I thought the characterisation of the different girls in the "Quintette" was really well done - they all stood out as individual people, rather than merging into a mass.

Once again though, EBD uses pretty much the same ideas in this story and the CS - the multi-lingual aspect struck me most noticeably.

Nice wee story, will probably add it in to my list of "nice easy comfortable reads"
