I thought I'd post this, because (a) it's looking a little empty (pokes vital organs of hackers) and (b) the bunny keeps suggesting follow ups, so this may not end here.

As the coach approached the Gornetz Platz, and the world famous Chalet School, one of it's newest pupils glowered out of the window, her almost black eyes staring out of a sallow skin, her black hair plaited into two tails, in the style known to existing Chalet School pupils as Kenswigses. For her, the journey had been longer than most. A fact which her marked American tones belied, but still, thought Jack Lambert, who was Head Girl this term, there was really no need to look so... so… morose. Really, this new girl was giving the impression that she didn't want to be at the Chalet School at all, and that was not right, not at all.

In point of fact, the new girl was rather indifferent about being enrolled at the Chalet School. It had been her parents wish, and so she had complied. Although she had been rather annoyed at having to leave her family and her best friend. Still, she had her doll, Marie, to remind her of home, and she was sure that she would manage, even though she had never been one to make friends easily.

All through her arrival at the school, supper, prayers and being shown to her dormitory, she kept the same almost blank expression on her face. An expression that gave the impression that she felt that all the world was against her. However, she showed no signs of trouble, and so Jack decided that all she needed was some good friends. She was to be in the same form as Felicity Maynard, Lucy Peters and Jean Morrison, who were all friendly girls, and Jack was sure that they would help the new girl settle in.

It was whilst Jack was making her way round the dormitories that she heard a commotion coming from Lily dormitory. As she rushed towards the source of the noise, she remembered that Lily had been where the new girl had been placed. To Jack's surprise though, the new girl was the only one who seemed to have kept her head about her.

"Alright." She said, raising her voice to be heard over the commotion, a fact which instantly afforded her silence, broken only by sobs from some of the more nervous girls. "What's going on here?"

It was the new girl who answered. "I suspect that I may have caused the furore, as she…" the new girl indicated Ruth Wilson, who had started the previous term, "was looking in my direction as I unpacked my overnight case. But I don't know why she screamed."

Jack sighed, then went and knelt down next to Ruth, who was sitting in the chair in her cubicle. "What scared you, Ruth?"

Ruth was still trembling as she answered. "Her doll…. it has no head!"

A gasp went round the dormitory at this from all except Jack, who expected nothing more sinister than an odd sight angle making the doll appear to have no head. Turning to the new girl, she spoke with all her authority. "Bring the doll here." It was, however, late, and Jack failed to see the glimmer of a smile which formed on the new girls lips.

As the new girl came out of her cubicle Ruth's fit of sobbing was renewed, accompanied by small screams from the other girls in the dormitory. Jack's eyes merely widened as she realised that the doll in fact did have no head. Exasperated, she burst out. "Well, where's the head? If you'll let me have her I can have her fixed as good as new by tomorrow night."

Wednesday Addams turned serious eyes onto the Head Girl, as she replied. "But Marie Antoinette has no head!"

Hope you like it Very Happy
