This is the sequel to Trying to Take Over the Chalet School. I only came up with the idea after finishing the first drabble. This is meant to lead on from the silly ending. The person writing the diary is Mary-Lou.

By the way, I am happy to send the prequel as a word document to anyone who would like to read it.

The diary of Mary-Lou Trelawney:

29th December 1970
I am so amazing! I am so brilliant! I am going to work my way to the top of the world and noone will ever have the power to stop me.

1st March 1971
I have been completely and totally humiliated. I can’t believe it. I need to escape – I might try Timbuktu. Lots of people talk about the place, but I have never met anyone who has actually gone there. I am too humiliated to write about the actual reason that I have been so humiliated.

2nd March 1971
I am still too humiliated to give the reason.

I'm sorry to spree, but I have just realised - is this not the right night to start the drabble about Mary-Lou? I'm sorry if I've messed everything up by posting this drabble.

Clare, I really need cheering up after the hacking, and a bit of OOAO bashing should hopefully do the trick Wink , so please please keep posting!

Oh, sorry. Did I leave you all on a cliff? That was very silly of me. Wink Here is the next part:

The diary of Mary-Lou Trelawney:

2nd March 1971
I am still too humiliated to give the reason.

5th March 1971
I have found one of my Dad’s old diaries. This is what I found:

The diary of Professor Trelawney:

1937
I am going to be a father! My beautiful wife, Doris is pregnant with our first child. I don’t mind if it is a boy or a girl.

March 1938
Doris is still pregnant. I am still looking forward to being a father. My research on insects is going really well at the moment.

Monday, several weeks later:
I am a father! Doris has given birth to a baby girl, Mary-Louise. I am the proudest father ever. She is such a beautiful baby. I am going to register Mary-Lou’s birth tomorrow.

Tuesday:
Oh, no. I have made the biggest mistake ever. Nooooooooooo! I don’t know how I am going to tell Doris.

Wednesday:
When I went to register the birth of Mary-Louise – she will be known as Mary-Lou – my mind was on insects. I have made a big mistake – the birth certificate says Mary-Louse Trelawney!

Eek. I was giggling as I read this Chair. Knowing what was going to be revealed made it even funnier.

How wonderful. Mary-Lou or Joey bashing is always fun. Why is it that when I was younger and first reading the books I really liked them but now I find them incredibly irritating?

That's exactly how I feel about them. Just goes to show how well EBD wrote for children, doesn't it?!

Thanks, Chair, can't think how I missed this the other day. I do feel sorry for her, discovering how a little 'i' can make such a difference!
