#1: Jo's decision. Drabble challenge Author: Pat, Location: DoncasterPosted: Tue Jun 20, 2006 5:32 pm Jo walked out of the Little Chapel on the island of Guernsey and set off up the lane to the car, leaving Jack to follow her. Even in the car she was silent, and Jack was at a loss to decide what to do. Fianlly he headed for Rocqaine Bay, where he pulled into the car park, and parked the car facing out across the bay. Then he sat back and waited for Jo to speak. Finally she turned towards him, looking so serious that he wondered what was coming.
“Jack, I’ve been thinking. You are a Catholic, and we’ve already decided that any children we may have will be brought up Catholic too. I want us to be a complete family, and I don’t think that is possible if I remain an Anglican. I want to be part of everything we do, and if I can’t take a full part in the Mass, that can’t happen. So I’ve decided to speak to the priest about conversion. You know that I’ve always felt that the two ways were just different paths to God, and I feel very strongly that this is the right thing to do for us all.”
