I know I should be able to find this somewhere, but how much older than Jo is Jack? And she is 19 in Exile A isn't she?

Apologies for my ignorance, I'm in the middle of writing something and can't put my finger on the info I want...

I *think* ten years. Because he is Mollie's twin, and she is twenty-three when she starts teaching. And Joey is 13. I *think*.

Are Jack and Mollie twins too? Golly!

I think they become twins as the series progressed! I think someone said in another thread a couple of months back that they didn't start off as twins!

Early on (can't recall which book) he's described as Mollie's older brother. Later, of course, Mollie and Jack acquire another brother, Bob, who is older still!

And Jack is said to be Mollie's younger brother, too, in a different book. EBD seems thoroughly confused about the two of them.

They aren't officially twins until Reunion, but EBD maintains their twinness ever after, I think.

I'd peg the Joey / Jack age gap at about 8 years, actually - Mollie is said to be 22 or 23 at the start of Head Girl, when Jo is 15.

Caroline.

Edited because I am hard of thinking....

But that would mean Mollie was only about 20 when she joined the CS, in the very first term. Is that plausible?

Yes, if she had done two years of a course after school. Madge is only 23 at the beginning of School At, and she's headmistress Very Happy

You could do 2 year teaching courses, so it is entirely possible, particularly if she is young in her year too.
