Dashing through the snow In toboggan or by ski, Over the fields we go, Home in time for tea; Chalet girls will sing, Laughing all the way, What fun it is to play and sing A snowy song today. A day or two ago, The story I must tell Adventure in the snow And Emerence she fell; The girls, they were amazed To see her do the splits, They laughed as there she sprawling lay, But quickly she was fit. A day or two ago, We thought we'd take a ride, Tobogganing through snow All seated side by side; The day was grey and warm; Misfortune seemed our lot; An avalanche to our alarm, And shelter in a hut. Now the ground is white Go it while you're young, Take the girls tonight And sing this snowy song; Just get a toboggan, A sledge is good as well, Or maybe strap your skis on, This, Chalet girls will tell.
