51 And Margaret spake unto Emerence, saying ‘No, Emmy! We mustn’t! Emmy - don’t!’ But Emerance heeded her not. Emerence instead taunted Margaret saying ‘Funker! Baby!’
52 At this time, Mary-Louise did drop her rope, and began to ascend the mountain, as the sled of Emerence gathered speed down the mountain. And there were heard screams from Margaret.
53 Jeanne at this time cried out that everyone should be still, and stop, and the girls heard her and stayed in their place.
54 Mary-Louise, in her ascent of the mountain, instructed Emerence that she should steer unto the right, in order that she should avoid those already upset into the snow. But Emerence heeded her not. Emerence was sore afraid, and her heart and mind was not open to guidance.
55 And as Mary-Louise reached the place where Bridget had observed the obstruction, the sled was diverted from the true course, and did strike the fallen tree, sending Emerence out of the sled and across the run.
56 Mary-Louise did take the weight of Emerence, and was herself hurled with great force against a pine tree standing there.
57 Viola in her turn did ascend the mountain, and take hold of Emerence, removing her from the body of her friend, as Bridget came across the snow towards them, the Lord giving speed to her legs.
58 Margaret began to descend the mountain in her turn, and she was sore afraid, and did weep at the sight of Mary-Louise in the snow.
59 Bridget did kneel beside the woman fallen in the snow, and with the help of Viola turned her so that she should lie supine, but there was no sign of life about her.

I'm glad you're all enjoying it.

Oddly I was worried about offending people when I posted it, and thought the first one I wrote would fit the challenge far better. Obviously my taste as a teenager for cold war spy novels isn't widely shared on this board!
