I hope this is allowed within the spirit, if not the letter of the challenge! If you go up on the slopes today You're sure of a big surprise. If you go up on the slopes today You'd better go in disguise. For every girl that ever there was Will gather there for certain, because Today's the day the Chalet Girls go sledding! CHORUS Sledding time for Chalet girls, The little Chalet girls are having a lovely time today. Watch them, catch them unawares, And see them skiing on their holiday. See them gaily slide about. They love to play and shout. And never have any cares. At six o'clock their prefects and teachers Will take them home to bed Because they're tired little Chalet girls. If you go out up on the slopes today, You'd better not go alone. It's lovely up on the slopes today, But safer to stay at home. For every girl that ever there was Will gather there for certain, because Today's the day the Chalet girls go out sporting CHORUS Every Chalet girl, that's been good Is sure of a treat today There's lots of wonderful things to do And wonderful games to play Beneath the trees, where nobody sees They'll sled and ski as long as they please Today's the day the Chalet girls go out sporting CHORUS But there are Chalet girls who’ll be bad Even on sledding day They’ll go up higher than ever they should And there’ll be a price to pay When there’s a chance that nobody sees They’ll try to sled wherever they please Today's the day the that Emmy will go flying CHORUS Even Margot tried to be good… And tried to tell Emmy No! But Emerance only called her names And went on her own sweet way. There’s Mary-Lou and up she skis And Margot screams and screams and screams But now mam’zelle tells everyone to stop right there CHORUS If you steer off the right Emmy You shouldn’t go too far awry. If you steer off to the right Emmy There might not be too much to-do. But Emmy’s managed to twist her sled And hits the snag for certain, because Just now’s the time that Emmy goes off flying! CHORUS And off Emmy flies into Mary-Lou And she in turn hits a tree. And Biddy’s skiing like fun today And Viola’s there as well. But Mary-Lou is ever so still And grey, and so we wonder maybe Today’s the last day she’ll go sledding! CHORUS |
