"I should like to take that devil of hers and shove him back where he came from."

Len spoke these words with vehemence. It distressed her that her triplet was affected by a devil.

Her wish to "shove him back where he came from" was soon granted.

Len spotted a little red man with a forked tail, horns on his head and hooves for his feet, dancing behind Margot one day.

"Right!"

Len grabbed the little red man who was completely taken by surprise, just as Margot was bending over to tie her shoelace.

"Yyyyeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwccccchhhhhh!!!!!!!

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!"

"Help! Muuuuurrrrder! Oooowwwww OOOOoHHHHHHhh!!!!!!"

"Please Len, no, no no! Mary Lou heeeeelllpppp!!!!"

"Boo hoo hoo it hurts!"

Mary Lou descended upon the pair in a trice to find Margot crying and rubbing her posterior.

Len had a satisfied smirk on her face.

"Len! What have you done to Margot?"

The steel glare was upon Len, but she did not flinch.

"Saved us all and her a lot of trouble. I put her devil back where he came from! Now go and be nice to Ted now, won't you Margot?"

"Boo hoo hoo! Yes Len. I love Ted."

Margot walked stiffly away still rubbing her nether regions.

Mary Lou was speechless.

But...

Zermatt never happened.
