Santa was working in his toy shop making sure that all the toys where sorted when he suddenly got a phone call.
“Hello this is Santa’s, how may I help you.” Santa wondered why he had got a phone.
“Hello this is Carol.” Carol was worried she had been trying to get hold of Len Maynard who was a close friend of her. “I’m sorry Santa.” She said truthfully. “I think I rang the wrong number..” She then realised something. “Your not Santa Claus are you?”
“Yeah I am the one and only.” Santa smiled.
“Well I’m really sorry that I disturb you Santa, I must have pressed the wrong button.” Carol sighed before deciding to ask. “When did you get a phone?”
“Well Mrs Claus said that I should get one because I was too old fashioned.” He sighed. “I tried to argue but she won.” He gave a jolly laugh.
“Well goodbye Santa.” Carol smiled.

A few weeks later it was Christmas Eve night and Carol was sat downstairs, it was getting close to midnight and she hadn’t been able to sleep she had to say sorry to Santa for ringing him up by accident, she was just about to drink her hot chocolate when suddenly her mobile rung, she had no idea who was phoning her, it wasn’t a friends numbers, but something made her answer it.
“Hello.” Carol said cautiously.
“Hello, is this Carol?” Santa asked. “You might not remember me but it’s Santa we talked a few weeks back.”
“Hello Santa, this is a surprise I was waiting for you come down the chimney.” She giggled. “Why are you calling me anyway.”
“Well as I said before I aren’t used to having a mobile phone and since your number is the only one that is in it, I decided you’d have to do.” Santa said seriously. “I’m in a bit of a jam, well not so much as a jam but a fog.”
“What about Rudolph’s nose?” Carol asked, she had heard that it was red and like a light.
“Unfortunately Rudolph has a cold and so he couldn’t come flying with me.” Santa said truthfully.
“Well what can I do?” Carol was worried she had no idea how she could help him.
“Well I was hoping that you had a la---p--t--u--g” Santa wasn’t sure if he had said it right.
“You mean a laptop and yes I do have one but what good is that.” Carol asked bemused.
“Well I have a dongle which I can put into the laptop and then I can go on that site where you track Santa around the world.”
“That is cool.” Carol smiled. “Of course you can borrow my laptop.” She was glad that she could help Santa.
“I’ll be around in about 10 minutes.” Santa smiled as he hung up the phone.

Santa smiled as he pick up the laptop and went out of the front door, Carol followed and saw Santa’s sleigh in her front garden.
“I decided If I was coming into the 21st century I should start parking on the floor instead of the roof.” Santa laughed as he got into the sleigh. “Thanks for everything Carol, I‘ll drop the laptop off with your present later.”
Santa flew off into the night but not before shouting. “Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.

Thank you Santa for my special drabble. You can borrow my laptop any time, so long as I get it back in time to check for CBB updates!

PS You know me well. I often get wrong numbers on my mobile. I've never caught Santa yet, but I have had some interesting conversations! :D And Len is one of my favourite characters - at least until she's daft enough to get engaged to Reg.
