This was posted on the old board, but as Squirrel's just written a sequel, we thought this'd better be here too!

"It's no use" the speaker finished sadly, and 29 pink noses wiffled glumly in agreement "She's taken over now and there's no place for us any more."
"It wasn't so bad last year" someone else stood up to speak "My lot thought I was on holiday! At least they still thought of me sometimes."
"Mine too. They sent me a postcard they'd all signed, sweet little things they are" Said an older delegate, whose tabard was slightly faded and whose crumpled ears showed that she'd been well loved. "Now of course, they've forgotten all about me."
The first rabbit spoke again, this time in a comforting tone "It's probably not them you know. They'll have left by now won't they, they probably do think you're still there somewhere"
"But that's even worse!" said the delegate from Lancashire North West "There are new Rainbows now who have never even heard of us. It's all that girl's fault, She's taken over our job, young upstart that she is!"
Several heads nodded in agreement and whiskers twitched crossly. They hadn't liked being replaced by 'that girl'.
A younger rabbit stood up at the front, shyly twisting her paws together in her tabard pocket. "It's not really her fault" she said "They didn't give her any choice I don't think. They created her, and let her loose to do our job. She can't help it can she?"
There was a vague murmer of agreement from the assembled rabbits so she continued with more confidence. "There's still Guiders who liked us better you know. I've talked to some of them"
"Then why do they use her?" More whiskers were twitching now. "Why not use us instead? They can't like us that much."
"They have no choice really. They do as they're told don't they."
The head of the organisation took to the floor again.
"It's all very well talking about Olivia, or reminiscing about the old days, or thinking we should do our job again, but the fact is, we can't. As members of the Associated Rainbow Rabbit Movement we have agreed that our priority should be to explore what we can do now we are no longer needed at Rainbows. Yes," she continued, as a sad sigh ran through the room at her words "No longer needed, but there must be something we can do now. This conference is supposed to be about looking to the future not regretting the past."
"But what can we do?" a rabbit from Scotland spoke up. "I sit in a cupboard now, and there's not much oppotunity there"
"I was paraded at a Standard Service the other week." said another "As part of the what our uniform was like in past years parade!"
Chatter broke out as the rabbits turned to their neighbours to tell of the indignities they now had to suffer.
"Quiet!" the head of ARRM said firmly, her arm raised. She waited until all the rabbits did like-wise before she lowered her arm and continued. "I appreciate that you cannot see the way forward for yourselves. However, I have been approached someone who is recruiting for rabbits to do a job which only we can do. Please welcome her as she takes the floor and consider what she has to say. I think it is the answer for us."
A grey rabbit whose lack of badge showed she had never made her promise stood up and came forward to an excited murmur from the Rainbows. Smiling she turned to them. "Friends," she said "I believe I have the answer to your dilemma. I am from an organisation made up mostly of females. These females are very like members of girlguiding in their own way, and their organisation is based on phenonemon in which Guiding plays a large part. There is a special job for us rabbits to do in this place, we are loved and valued, given treats and kept busy. Members of the ARRM, I hope that some of you will be able to join me in the valient effort to supply all CBB members with plot bunnies. Thank you."
