This isn't good, this bunny bit me this morning, and it was so crazy I just had to post it.

The New Girls

Hilda Annersley sat in her study with the school secretary, Rosalie Dene, looking over the entrance papers for two new pupils starting at the Chalet School.

“Yes, I think Lala will have to go in Upper IVA, and if we place her sister in Lower IIIA, they should both be able manage with the work.”

Rosalie duly noted this decision before replying. “In that case I shall let Sharlie and Rosalind know about their new lambs, and ask Gaudenz to put some extra desks and chairs in those form rooms.” She hesitated, “Hilda, you don’t think that there will be any trouble with the Wilcox’s, do you?”

“Whatever do you mean?” Hilda replied. “Oh, I see. Well of course our girls know that it is rude to make remarks about anothers appearance, and I’m sure they will sit thoroughly if any of the newer girls try. As for the names, well, apparently the names of their two older brothers are just as strange.”

“They are certainly an odd pair though.” Rosalie mused. “One so rosy…. and the other so sallow, she almost looks jaundiced!”

“Yes, I may have to ask Matey to take a look at her.” Hilda rose. “Well, I’m sure they’ll settle in nicely, they seem pleasant girls.” with which remark, both ladies departed to carry out other duties.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A week later, Rosalind Yolland was sitting with her form, Upper IVA when the door opened to reveal Miss Annersley with the new girls. Leaving the younger outside, she brought the elder sister forward.
“Girls, I would like you to meet Lala Wilcox, she will be in your form.” whereupon she left.
Miss Yolland immediately took charge. “Sarah Jennings, could you please help Lala set up her desk.”
While this was going on, Lucy Peters, under cover of checking her desk, murmured to her great friend Felicity Maynard. “Lala, that’s a bit of a rum name!”
“Oh, I don’t know. We’ve had a Lala before. She was a pree when the school first came out here if I remember rightly. I’ll ask Ailie or Maeve, they’re bound to remember.”
“Well, she certainly fills her uniform!” was Lucy’s final remark before the pair caught Miss Yollands glare and closed their desks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Over in Lower IIIA, Sharlie Andrews was awaiting her new lamb. Before Miss Annersley had arrived she had spoken to her form.

“Girls, the new member of the form may not look exactly like you or I, but she still has feelings. I’d like you all to be friendly towards her and help her to settle in. Marjorie Graves, would you look after her please.”

“Yes, Miss Andrews.” young Marjorie replied, just as the door opened to reveal Miss Annersley.

“Girls, I would like you to meet a new member of your form. This is Po Wilcox!”

The new girl, in her excitement, bounced up and down and waved frantically at her new classmates, greeting them in her usual fashion.

“Eh-oh!”

Sorry Carolyn, it was literally only this that came to me. I don't really know enough about the 'Wilcox's' to carry it on. However if anyone else wants to expand it.... be my guest!

Thanks everyone... glad I was able to provide some giggles. Very Happy
