Just a silly bit of fun. Enjoy :santa:

It was the first week of the Christmas Holidays and the school was devoid of students, only the staff remained and they too would leave upon the morrow. The clock had just struck half past eleven and the corridors were dark and peaceful. The only person who seemed to be up was Kathy Ferrars, eyes gleaming with anticipation as she stepped towards Biddy’s chambers.

Kathy knew she shouldn't do it, but it was as though a kind of insanity had fallen over her. From the first moment that she had glanced out of her window on this dark winter's night she had been tempted. She had tried to fight it, but it was impossible to resist the urge. She would regret it, probably forever, certainly for a very long time. She really shouldn't do it. It was pushing bravery into the realms of foolishness and beyond.

And yet here she was, standing outside the door of Biddy’s room, the small glistening round object grasped in her hand, her heart pounding with anticipation. She really shouldn't do this. She should turn around now while she still could. It was nearly midnight, far too late for such foolishness. Matey would certainly not approve, and it was the thought of that which made blue eyes flash mischievously. She really could not resist.

"Snowball Fight!" She yelled as she swung the door open, and sprang gleefully into Biddy’s room, hurtling her carefully made snowball at the figure sitting in the chair by the window.

The dark figure rose from its seat, face and clothing speckled with glistening white snow, roaring with righteous rage. From the bed came a strangled croak which was heard above the spluttering of the other woman, "Kathy! How dare you snowball Matey!"

"Uh oh!" Kathy gasped, as her eyes swung rapidly from one furious woman to the other in the bed. She had completely forgotten that Biddy wasn’t feeling well and had retired earlier than usual. "Uh oh ..." She whispered once more, then turned and fled down the corridor as fast as she could. She might be just about able to handle an angry Biddy but Matey on top of that was just too much. She gulped. She was in trouble and she knew it.

A voice suspiciously like her Aunts was telling her that she must face the consequences of her actions but for now she let her inner middle rule as she ran as fast as she could. Fear soon gave way hilarity as she replayed the scene in her mind. She had snowballed Matey. Matey! At least there were no pupils there to see it. She would never live it down as it was. What would her Aunt say now…
