The girls danced frantically, weaving and gyrating to the mindless thrum of the Crocell’s bass guitar. Malthus, playing lead guitar, wiggled his behind sending his pointy tail into frenzied motion causing the Head Girl almost too faint.
“They are amazing”, Margot shouted to Emerence. “Satan is gorgeous, isn’t he?”
As she uttered these words Satan stooped down and looked directly at her. His piercing demonic eyes locked with her and she heard his voice in her head whisper, “thank you, my Margot. I have been looking after you for so long, my little acolyte, it pleases me to see you here tonight.”
Margot gasped and overcome with emotion promptly fainted. Emerence tried to catch her friend but being a slight girl couldn’t hold the weight. It was left to Miss Wilson to push her way through and muttering darkly about silly girls lifted Margot in a fireman’s lift and carried her through the crowd. With a reluctant glance back at the stage, Emerence trailed after the teacher and her best friend.
Mary-Lou and the prefects who were completely unaware of the drama occurring to the left of them continued to dance wildly to the strains of the “Bells of Hell”. As the track ended Satan held up his hand for silence and an immediate hush fell across the Gornetz Platz.
“My demons and I”, he started speaking, “are overwhelmed by your rapturous welcome. I have heard tell of one girl in particular who wishes to meet me.”
He bent down from the stage and holding his hand out pulled the Head Girl onto the stage. Mary-Lou was a tall, well built girl but Satan lifted her easily onto the stage where she stood overwhelmed and unable, for once, to say anything.
“My Mary-Lou. You have served me so well and now you deserve your reward.”
Standing a good eight inches taller than her he bent down and kissed her on the lips. It was a long, hot, sulphurous kiss and Mary-Lou collapsed to her knees at the end. The girls started cheering and Satan smiled, “Now we will perform our new hit, “Hell is hot, baby”. I want to see you all dance and sing. Mary-Lou”, he turned to the girl and helped her stand, “dance for us.”
The demons started playing and Mary-Lou slowly began to dance. She felt rather dazed, the personal attention Satan had given her was more than she could have dreamed of. She could still feel his kiss on her lips and the smell of sulphur in her nose. As she twirled and danced she felt hotter and hotter. She started by removing her jacket, then her red satin blouse, her black pencil skirt followed and finally her underwear so she was dancing naked on stage in front of the whole Gornetz Platz.
Verity tried to call out to her but her silvery voice could not be heard over the sound of the band.
Still Mary-Lou was hot, her lips were burning from Satan’s kiss, her mouth was dry and she felt that her skin was on fire. She fell to her knees, panting and gasping. Satan kept singing and as he approached her she could feel the waves of heat emanating from him. She moaned and tried to move away but found that her legs would not obey her brain and she couldn’t move.
Satan singing, “I’m burning for your love, baby,” reached out and touched her hair. A bolt of fire shot from his hand and ignited the hair of the Head Girl.
Verity screamed but most of the girls thought this was part of the show and cheered loudly.
Satan laughed, his demonic eyes glittering yellow in the night, and moving to the front of the stage belted out the words, “Hell is hot, baby” and pointed. Where he pointed a shaft of fire flew from his finger and ignited whatever was in its path. Soon the Gornetz Platz was alight and the crackle of the flames mixed with the screaming of those unable to get away.
