Once upon a time, as all good stories begin, there was a Squeen. Now the Squeen had heard of this thing called the internet, and even more excitingly something called web-sites.

'Ooh', she trilled, 'the Squeenliness of having my own website. Now, what shall it be about?'

The Squeen searched high and low (and in between) for a theme for her website, for she was a cunning Squeen, and wished to lure others into her toils for it was her secret ambition to entrap others into spending as much time writing stories for her delectation as she could.

After much toil the web was complete. To entice others into sharing her dreams, she divided her kingdom into regions, but the one on which she expended the most of her magic powers was called 'Cookies and Drabbles'. She sat back and contemplated and it was good.

'Now I am amused.' she cried, for every day new, unsuspecting women were drawn in by the glitter of reading the stories, and lo! some of them began to write more stories of their own. The Squeen was pleased with what she had done, seeing her kingdom expand and grow, whilst her subjects offered tribute to her Squeenliness in the shape of other stories.

But alas and welladay, ogres from a neighbouring land heard of this and were envious and irate, for they believed that they should be the only people who had new stories offered to them. They sent their evil emissary, that which shall not be named, to devour the stories, and there was woe and misery in all the Squeen's kingdom. Women wept, sobbed and sighed for the blight that had afflicted them. But the Squeen was valiant and rallied her armies, so that soon there was a new site, shinier than before, and behold, (I've already used lo!) she appointed guardians for each thread to defend and protect the magic kingdom of the CBB, for thus she had named it. Then her enemies retired to ponder their next attack.

The Squeen's subjects wondered much at her valour, and stories began to abound of the wondrous creatures she sent out to assist her subjects when they were writing, and they named them plot bunnies. But her enemies had created evil spells and prevailed upon her web hosts to declare that her magic kingdom was growing too powerful. They declared that it should be destroyed unless a huge ransom was paid. The women of this magic country vowed to band together to pay this ransom, once they had finished weeping, wailing and gnashing their teeth. (This W,W & GoT department went onto overtime, but no other work was done throughout the land.)

All the Plot Bunnies, those mythical creatures who spent their lives in the modems and phone lines of the land began to retreat and fade away, for without their subjects to torment they were unable to thrive. With one final mighty effort, they gathered their strength and found a new web host. In the middle of the night they gathered around the Squeen's bed and whispered in her ears until even her Squeenliness found that she could not sleep soundly. But the PB's prevailed.

The next morning, the Squeen arose from her bed and, heavy-eyed, seated herself in front of her computer. Listlessly she logged on, and began to search for a remedy for the ailments of her kingdom.

When all seemed lost, her eye lighted upon a company that she had not noticed before. She sent out her royal messengers who returned swiftly with the news of success. Surely this would be a land of milk and honey for the servers were large and the bandwidth of a reasonable price. She enlisted their help and the favour of the Squeen was upon them.

There was great rejoicing in the land and the Squeen's subjects began to write more stories in tribute to her, for the plot bunnies had recovered and grown in strength and number. The Plot Bunny elders held an assembly in which they set new targets for their subjects, for had they not an endless supply of power and strength from their hosts, phpBB?
