Ho ho ho! Sadly Santa doesn't have access to St Hild's - probably a good job considering my advanced years! Laughing

However I've written this little scene for Pat with kind permission from Mia who kindly allowed me to stealth her characters from Chalet Street Comp! (Not a place I'd ever want to go, mind)

It was a normal Christmas morning in Freudesheim Heights. The sound of a thousand gently screeching car alarms woke the large Bettany family in the traditional way.

“It’s Christmas, gerrup you lazy sod,” Jo greeted her on-off boyfriend Jack Maynard lovingly. Jack grunted out an obscenity and rolled over to continue snorting. Joey sighed and extended her leg to kick him where it hurt a man most.

Leaving him writhing on the floor, she went to check on her brood. The twins, Ged and Philangelica, were already pulling the wrapping off the presents their siblings had half-inched off the market.

Ste and Chazza were fighting over which Lacoste tracksuit and Burberry baseball cap they would wear for the traditional Russell/Bettany booze up round at Dick and Mollie’s maisonette in Quadrant Court.

Mike sighed as he studied the Xbox his father had robbed for him. If only it were the encyclopaedia he had asked for!

The triplets had gone to a rave and were not expected back before Boxing Day.

The elder twins and Cecilangelique had been taken into temporary respite foster care to save Jo and Jack some hassle – nine presents were a lot to pinch nowadays!
