MY COMPUTER IS FIXED
SO HOPEFULLY EVERYTHING WILL BE
ON TRACK NOW!

MEANWHILE, HERE IS A POEM.

WITH GRAVE APOLOGIES TO
CLEMENT CLARKE MOORE

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the chalet,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a... er... valet.
The stockings were all put out, on the ground by the door -
Geoff hoped they'd trip someone, who'd fall to the floor.
The children were nestled all snug under their plumeaux
And silence pervaded in every room - oh!
And Joey in her earphones, and Jack in his cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out in the hall the phone started ringing,
The sound far less golden than Jo's earlier singing.
Away to the receiver Jack flew like a flash,
While Jo grabbed her robe, and pulled tight the sash.
"Is it time?" Joey asked, her eyes all a-glow,
Jack nodded, face paler than the new-fallen snow.
The husband and wife quickly dressed, and when ready,
Went outside, each holding the other one steady.

But how could they leave? They could not start the car;
The engine froze solid, they wouldn't get far.
When, what to their panicking eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick
They knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
"He has no car troubles," quoth Jo with a sigh,
"If only we, too, could fly through the sky!"

And before she had noticed that Jack'd left her side,
He had flagged down Old Klaus and asked for a ride.
St Nick agreed, and Jo held down her hair,
As the sleigh they now rode in rose up in the air.
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!
To the great hospital on the top of the hill!
And please keep it steady so Jo doesn't get ill!"

They were there in a moment, the landing was smooth,
And though Joey'd prefer that they weren't on the roof,
She threw her arms 'round the darling old man,
And thanked him, again and again and... agan.
St Nick laughed, and his little round belly,
Shook back and forth like a bowl full of jelly.
"It was my pleasure, now get yourself gone,
Or do you wish to linger out here 'til the dawn?"

He left them both wondering how to get down,
Jack's face twisted slowly to a thoughtful frown.
"Should I find a safe route and come back for you?"
Jo shook her head no, and dived down the floo.
After a moment, Jack followed suit,
And both tumbled out the other side of the chute.
They rushed through ten rooms 'fore they found the right one.
"You're late," said the nurse, "but come meet your grandson."

And Len and Reg speak of her parents' trip still-
Their night-flight to see Len's Christmas miracle.
