#1: Bit of a Poem Author: Róisín, Location: Galway, Eire

Madge decided to commence a school
Joey said 'Hey, that'd be cool'
Dick didn't join in
But Madge said 'Sod him'
Dick knew that Madge wasn't a fool

So back to India went Dick
But not Jo, who's inclined to be sick
Madge picked up Grizel
On Austria they fell
To start up a bit of a gimmick

From the locality, six girls came
Eager to play the English game
Mademoiselle brought Simone
The Stevens came on their own
The Chalet won quickly a name

The story that comes after this
Is long and multifarious
Doctors in, teachers out
Multiple births roundabout
Austrian, then English, then Swiss.

This is a very good poem, Róisín. I like it. Carry on with the next one quickly.
Róisín forever! (Hard to translate that last bit to make it sound sensible in English! It means, sort of, UP RÓISÍN.)

Great poem Roisin.

But a comment for you and Mollio-
Using a language that most on the board don't speak, without providing a translation is considered quite rude (and against board policy, I think). Using a board members name in such a post, when that member cannot read understand the post (at least, I don't think Kathy can) is incredibly rude and mean.

There is no point in my reading this thread, given that I cannot understand most of it (and this likely applies to others as well).

I'm so sorry - I didn't realise how it would look at all.

We should absolutely have taken it to pm.

My post was: thank you, I'm not sure if we are allowed Irish on the website, there might be a problem with it.

Mollio answered that Kathy had asked her to provide a translation and that was all.

Irish is fine, as long as there's a translation footnote. After all, learning new languages is a proper CS goal....

Róisín has given you a translation of what I wrote so I won't translate it again, and just in case you're wondering about the "old hag" business, it was said to Kathy's 'face' on MSN and meant, and taken, as a joke.
