Post subject:	A boy at the Chalet school (finished 3/10/10)
I'm doing this in the Tirol day's Joey was sitting on a fence talking to Julliet "maybe we should go and meet the boat" she suggested. Julliet looked at her watch and then at simone who was glued to Joey's side as usual. She then looked at her watch and said "Yes I think we should go say hi to all those who are coming here you know that madame would like us to. "I'll go to mar-Madame" said Joey who was about to use her sister maiden name even though she had been told not to. She ran over to her sister and got a telling off for running. Joey told Madame where she was going then walked off to Julliet and Simone and said that it was alright for them to meet the ferry as it was such a wonderful day. When they got to the ferry landing the Ferry was already there and the first one out was Mademoiselle who wasn't looking at all happy. The last time Joey had seen her look this angry was when Simone had cut her hair all by herself. Mademoiselle looked over to them and went across "Joey can you go and fetch Madame please we have a problem and with that she pointed to a boy of the age of 12 aparently he was entered for this school" Joey looked stunned and so did the other but Joey recovered and went to fetch Madame. I'll continue this later

okay here is a bit more Joey ran into the school grounds and straight up to her sister Marge "Marge, Mademoiselle wants you at the boat landing it seems there has been a mistake somewhere and I boy has been enter for this school" Marge looked at Joey "This isn't one of you wild pranks is it?" she asked not sure what to do" "No Marge" promised Joey "what do you want me to tell Mademoiselle should she bring the boy here of will you be coming back with me?" Marge looked at her younger sister then said "I will come but Joey remember to call me Madame when we are infront of the others" Joey blushed then said "Okay Marge I promise I will" "Good well we had better go and see what has happened" replied Marge who just wanted to sort this mess out as quickly as possible. Joey and Marge walked over to the ferry landing which was only a short distance from the school. As soon as Mademoiselle saw them she ran over to them and started to explain everything to Madame who face had lost her charm and she was now in her Buisness Face. As soon as she had heard what Mademoiselle had said she had said Grisela to fetch her dad who was good friends of there as she needed a man's advice about what to do with this boy as his parents had sent the money for the term already. Marge went upto the girl and told them to collect there things and to go to their Dorms until they were called down. She then told Grisela to wait here for her dad to come and to tell him to meet him in her study, she then told robin to go with Joey. Having given the girls there instruction and seeing them on there way into the house she turned to the boy "follow me please" she said as she turned towards the Chalet. The boy followed her wondering what was going to happen to him. He wondered what all the fuss was about. When they got to the Chalet Marge open up the door to her study and told the boy to enter and sit down on the chair the next minute she was sat at the other side of the table. "Name" said Marge "Alex Smith" replied the boy she looked on the list to see if there was any Alex Smith on the list which there was. "You do realise this is an all girl school don't you" said Marge she thought that the parents had known this was an all Girl School. "No I did not well not until I got on the ferry and all the girls started talking about what fun it is to go to the chalet school" Just then Herr Marani Made his apperance. hope you like it.

Why don't you write it in a text file, and save it frequently? Then you can copy and paste it here when you're ready. That way you shouldn't lose anything. I'm enjoying the story, so far. Thanks.

this isn't going to be a long part got a headache. Herr Marani looked around the study and saw the small boy. He walked up to the desk and asked "is this the problem that you need help with" Marge nodded her head "I just don't know what to do" she replied. He walked upto the small boy "are you sure this is the school you were suppost to come to? This is a Girls school did't you know that?" The boy was a bit scared of Herr Marani but he said "This is the school I want this is called the Chalet school isn't it?" Herr Marani looked at Marge "Is his name on the list?" Marge nodded again "I though that his parents would know this was a girls school" "Didn't Mademoiselle tell the boy's family when she picked him up that it was a girls school?" "I haven't asked her I will do later if you want once I know what to do with the boy" Herr Marani looked at the boy it was clear that there had been a mistake somewhere down the line "Is there anywhere he can go whilest me and you talk" "Yes I'll send him over to Joey and Robin" replied Marge. Marge got up and told the boy to follow her. The boy followed Marge out of the room. Marge found Joey and Robin in her bedroom doing a jigsaw together. Marge explained to Joey about what was going on and asked her if she and Robin would allow Alex to play with them whilest her and Herr Marani had a word with each other. Joey was delight to help and soon the three of them were doing the jigsaw together. Marge went downstairs and into her study were Herr Marani was waiting for her. Herr Marani was looking at the picture Joey had chose for her sister. As soon has he saw Marge take a seat he sat down on the chair oppersite her desk. "What am I going to do?" asked Marge "His parents have already paid for the next term" "Well you will have to keep him then" replied Herr Marani "unless you pay them the money back" "I can't his parents were heading for africa" Marge said with worry in her voice "I will just have to keep him, luckely there is a spare room over in Le Petti Chalet, the only thing we would need is a bed and the bedding" "Well how about he comes home with me tonight and tommorow me and Herr Mensch will come with you down to insbruck and we will carry the bed up here we should be able to do it" promised Herr Marani "Herr Mensch won't mind" "Are you sure you and your wife doesn't mind him going over to your house for the night?" asked Marge. "no of course not" replied Herr Marani "we will be delighted to help you" "well I'll go and get the boy and tell him what is happening" replied Marge "thanks for your help" "your welcome" laughed Herr Marani he realy like what Marge was doing and was sure the school would become a big sucess. Marge walked out of the room and returned 5 minutes later with Alex. "I suppose you want to know what is going to happen" said Herr Marani as soon as Marge had closed the door. Alex who had been wondering what was going to happen replied " yes please"

Marge looked at the boy, Her eyes sparkling, she waited a couple more minutes before saying "You are to stay with us like your parents wanted you to" The boy was shocked with what the head had said "where am I going to sleep" he said "surely there isn't any spare room for me to sleep in" "luckerly there is one room spare and you are going to have that" replied Marge "but for tonight you are going to go with Herr Marani here and stay with him in the morning you are going to do the lessions with the girl and then tommorow night you should be in your own room" she looked at him wondering if he was going to argue and refuse to. "Okay" replied the boy "I will try and do my best and make you proud of me" "That is all anyone can asked" said Herr Marani who until this point hadn't spoken "Well I think we should get off then, As I don't want to be away from the wife to long are you ready Alex?". Alex nodded he was a bit scared of Herr Marani. Herr Marani took the nod as a yes he was ready and after saying goodbye to Marge they set of to Herr Marani house. As soon as they were rowing on the lake as Herr Marani was at his summer house up here he turned to Alex and said "Marge has been kind to you by allowing you to stay with her and her girls at her school, it is a fine school and you will like it there" Alex looked at Herr Marani "But I will be alown as I will be the only boy there and the girls might tease me for being the only boy there" Herr Marani nearly busted out laughed when the boy said it but he manage to keep a straight face as he said "If any of Marge's girls said anything to you then God help them once Marge had finished with them" "Why?" asked Alex "Why what?" replied Herr Marani. "Why should God help them" replied Alex. "Because Marge has taughed the girl at her school how to behave and if they don't she will be very disappointed in them and they will be sad as all the girl at that school love Marge" replied Herr "Okay I promise I'll do all I can" said Alex he would try and do his best and behave as a gentleman should. "Well that is all anyone can ask, here we are now all we have to do is go up that hill and we are at my house" Herr Marani said as he tied up the rowing boat and help Alex out of it. Five minutes later they were at Herr Marani's house. Meanwhile at school Marge was telling her staff what she had decided to do. "Well my dear girl" replied Mademoiselle "what are we going to do for his lessions I'm sure he won't want to knit of sew" "I never thought of that" replied Marge "what do you think Mrs Maynard" "Well couldn't you ask Herr Mensch or Herr Marani if they could teach him woodwork somewhere" "I could try but just remember that they have there own jobs to do" replied marge "I will ask Jem what he thinks is best". "What a great Idea" laughed Mademoiselle. "Wicked" said the evil Mrs Maynard her eyes sparkling "well i'm off to bed I think it would be best if you asked Jem he will try to help all right". "I agree" said Marge she was engaiged to Jem Russel but the wedding wasn't to be for another two years at least so that Jem could get the san sorted and also so Marge could see the school well on it's way. I'll leave it there for now and will continue it later.

Jem went to see Marge the next day after she had phone him and wondered what all the fuss was about, Marge was very upset about something and he wanted to know what it was so he left the mounting where they were building the san and walked down to where the chalet school was. He arrived about 11.00o'ck the next day, at the same time Alex and Herr Marani were heading towards the Chalet School. Jem looked suprised to see a little boy with Herr Marani as he was sure that Herr Marani didn't hae any little children. He shouted to them "Hello Herr Marani" Herr Marani stoped and turned to were Jem was calling from "good morning Doctor Russel" he replied Jem looked at Alex and was about to ask him his name when Marge ran out over to them she had been waiting for them. "Good morning Alex" replied Marge "did you have a good night with Herr Marani" "Yes Madame" replied Alex. "Well Herr Mensch has sorted out a room for you over at Le Petit Chalet" replied Marge "Joey will you sure ALex his room whilest we adults chat" she said as her younger sister came up to them. "Of course" replied Joey "this way Alex" and with that she led him off. Joey led Alex off towards Le Petit Chalet and Jem turned to Marge in a look of horror. "I though you were taking girls only?" he said "We were but there seemed to have been some confusement were he was conserned and he was accidently put on the list, there is nothing I can do as his parents are out of the country and that is why he came to use" replied Marge "I will keep him and he will have most lession with the rest of the girls, but some of the lession I was hoping that you would help me by teaching him woodwork instead of knitting and over lessions that only girls will enjoy" "Well you know I am busy with making sure that the San is built right" replied Jem "But maybe Herr Marani and Herr Mensch could help you" Herr Mensh heard his name "I can not as I work in a bank and you all know that though I will do what I can with him on a weekend or any day I am not at work, what about you Herr Marani?" "I will do what I can" replied Herr Marani. "Well why don't we go inside and discuse this in more details were no one can over hear is" suggested Mrs Mayanard who had seen some of the children trying to ear-wig and she know that Madame wouldn't like it so she had gone up to them. "I think you are right" replied Marge. They all went into the building. Meanwhile Joey was showing Alex his room it had a glorious view of the lake as it was at that end Joey looked at Alex and said "your lucky you have a lovely view I could stand near than window and look out of it for hours" "So could I" replied Alex.

I hope you like the next part Joey and Alex were stood by the window looking at the lovely view, Alex stood there in delightment has he had never seen anything so good, Joey stood there for a minute more before asking Alex "do you sew?" "No" replied Alex "I hate sewing and I wouldn't do it for a million pounds" "Well that's is something we have in common though we have to do it here so I have to just do my best" "Joey will you look after me whilest we are here I am affraid that I will be lonely as there are no other boys here" said Alex suddenly. "there is one other boy Eigen" replied Joey then she smiled as she saw the look on the little boys face "but he doesn't do lession as he helps his sister out with work around the kitchen, you see she is head of the kitchen" Alex smile vanished so he would be the only boy in the school that does lession he just hoped that the head of the kitchen would let her younger brother play with him sometimes otherwise thing would be boring. "Cheer up" said Joey suddenly "i'll look after you and you can come for walks with me and Simone" Alex smile returned he had started to like Joey she was kind. Meanwhile downstair the staff where talking in Madame's study. "Well I can teach him woodwork on a saturday" replied Herr Mensch "I am not at the bank on a saturday so I'll be able to have him then, that's if it's okay with you Madame" he added. "Yes I think that will be alright" said Madame. "Well me and Jem here can teacher him sometime but for most lession I think he should be with the girls like for English, Geography, Maths unless of course you want to start a boy's Chalet school" laughed Herr Marani. Marge looked horrified at that suggestion "I have enough on my mind running one school" sorry it is so short but I have a headache and only came on so I could give you a bit more as I know it's been awhile.

"Well you could-" started Jem but he stopped after seeing the look Marge was giving him "Herr Marani I think it's a no go" "I think your right" said Herr Marai "What do you suggest Marge does Herr Mensch" "I suggest that she say's she can't have him after this term" replied Herr Mensch. There was silent for awhile only the big clock i the passageway was making a sound. "I think that is best" said Marge all of a sudden. "Then that is settled" replied Jem "us three will teach him lession on a saturday and a wednesday that's will be woodwork and learning how to be a gentleman and male stuff, all the other lession he can go with Joey she seem to have taking him in and is showing him around. I also think if Maria allows it, we should have Eigen should do lessions with him and also be allowed to play with him, but only if they do all their work and behaves, and hif he is naughty then he has to go to matron for the day like the girls do" "Okay" replied Marge "I think it is settled then" Herr Marani, Herr Mensch and Jem said their goodbyes to Marge as they all had to get home or in Jems case back to the san. "I hope Alex will be alright" said Marge as she looked as she picked up her book, as she did so the bell rang. Marge looked horrified she had been talking for 2 hours and she hadn't had any lunch. Now She had the middles for english and she still had to get Joey who was suppost to be in the lession. Marge walked steadly to the lession and found her class waiting for her, as she entered Frieda said "Where is Joey? I hope she isn't ill" "Joey isn't ill Frieda ,she is busy right now you will see her later today" Promised Marge. "Okay Madame" replied Frieda. "Well let's get on with our work" suggested Simone. I think we should" replied Marge, She set them all some work to do and sat down at her desk. Meanwhile Joey and Alex were talking to each other in his room. "what time is it?" asked Alex. "it's 1.05pm" replied Joey "bother I'm missing English" "Well why don't you go and I'll keep an eye on Alex" a voice came from behind them.

Okay it was the weekend Joey and Alex were startled when they heard the voice they turned around and saw Miss Maynard standing at the door. "I didn't know you were there" said Joey after getting her breath back. "You scared me so much" "And me" added Alex. "Well I didn't mean to I just heard that Joey wanted to go to her english lession so I thought I'd let her as I have nothing to do at the minute" replied Miss Maynard. "Well if you sure you don't mind I realy don't want to miss the lession everyone will think I'm ill again" said Joey. "of course I don't mind me and Alex can have a chat and i'll give him his test's to see where about he is so we can put him in some of your lessions" said Miss Maynard "I was going to do it later but we might as well do it now. Can you stay here for 5 minutes Joey whilest I get them?" "Of course Miss Maynard" replied Joey "I'll wait 5 minutes" Miss Maynard left the room and went for her stuff and came back five minutes later. Joey looked up when Miss Maynard came back into the room. "You may go now Joey" said Miss Maynard "Thanks Miss Maynard" replied Joey. Joey left the room and headed for the english classroom. When she got there she knocked on the door. "Enter" said Marge. Joey enter the room and Marge looked around in horrow "Who's looking after Alex?" asked Marge "It's okay Madame, Miss Maynard is giving Alex his tests now" replied Joey. "Well at least you don't miss you lessions now" laughed Marge. Meanwhile Alex was wondering what these test were going to be about. I'll leave it there for now hope you like it. sorry it so short.

"Right Alex follow me" said Miss Maynard. "Yes Miss Maynard" replied Alex. Alex followed Miss Maynard out of the room and then out off Le Petit Chalet. He followed her into the main school building, then into an empty room. "Okay Alex sit down here" said Miss Maynard. Alex did as he was told. Alex took the maths test and waited for Miss Maynard to tell him when to start. "Right you can start" said Miss Maynard sitting at the desk.
