Okay I don't know if this is where this one should be and I don't know if anyone has tried to do this before but I have decided to set this book in the future when Madge would be 74 as the school is celebrating 50 years since it has opened.

Lady Russell was sat in her chair outside in the garden, she was now 74 and so even though she was the owner and founder of the Chalet School, she had left her younger sister Joey pick the new headteacher of the Swizz branch of the school. Lady Russell lived in england with her husband Sir Jem who was the head of the san near to where they lived. Lady Russell was thinking about something when Sir Jem came up to her and kissed her on the cheek before sitting down next to her.
Lady Russell looked at her husband before asking, "Are we going to Swizzerland for the 50th year celebrations?"
"Yes we are." Replied Jem who knew something about the celebrations that Madge didn't and wasn't allowed to know about.
"That is good, I would have hated to miss it. We haven't seen Jack or Joey for about 2 years now, what with you and him always going on buisness trips. We do talk over the phone when we can but some how that's not the same" said Madge.
"I know what you mean" replied Jem as he put his arm round her. "At least we will see then soon and you will also be able to see the school and the new head Joey picked for them." He then teased her a bit by saying. "Though I just can't come to think how you let Joey pick the new head and why you just didn't give it to Miss Wilson."
"Because Bill didn't want the job, she said she liked being the deputy head but she said that she was getting old and didn't think she could handle the pressure of being the head full time. She liked it when she was head for that short time whilest Miss Annersley was recoving and if she was younger she would have gladly took the position but knew she couldn't do it now. She would be like that awful Miss Bubb is she did do it now." Madge could still remember what had happened when Miss Bubb was incharged.
"Well I remember when Joey and Robin where little and all the worries they caused everyone that knew them and now Robin is a nun and Joey is a famous author. I don't think there is many people in the world who don't know her and her books most of her books where best-sellers." Laughed Jem then he looked deep into Madge's eyes. "I can still remember when me and you first met, it was when there was that train accident and I remember seeing you for the first time, it was loved at first sight."
"Well we've had some good times haven't we." Said Madge. "And to think that I started the school 50 years ago and Joey was the first pupil to attent it and now look how many famous people that have come and gone from the school."
Jem was about to reply when Marie came out with 2 letter they were both for Madge.
"Thank you Marie" said Madge as she took the letters from Marie. Marie went back inside whilest Madge opened to first one which was from Joey. She read it and was shocked at what she read. "Jem I'm going to read this to you"

This was the letter she read

Dear Madge and Jem

First I had to tell you this before you came out to see us here and saw Miss Annersley who still lives near the school and sometimes visits it. Well what I wanted to say is that she is now engaged to be married to this nice man who about her age and like her, he has never been married. Well they have been been seeing each other for about 6 months now and last night Miss Annersley came round wearing a ring and said that they were to be married in about 6 months time.

Secondly I had to tell you that Bill- Miss Wilson will be retiring at the end of the year she wants to settle down and spend the rest of her life enjoying it, she said she had had some fun whilest been Deputy head at the Chalet School but she thinks it's time someone younger takes over now.

"Well I never thought Miss Annersley would get married" said Jem after a few minutes shock "But I think Miss Wilson thinks it's time she let someone else take over as deputy head she has been at the school for I think about 40 years." he waited for a while whilest Madge got over the shock "Who the second one from?"
Madge looked at the letter and went white, "It's from Brazil"
Jem looked and wondered what the news would be, for the last 7 years Mary-lou and her husband had been in the Amazon Jungle and the last news that had come through was more that 2 years old. The last time anyone had gone to the Amazon was Mary-lou's father and step-father when she was small and when she was 10 they found out that her father as well as most of the experdition had been killed when a bunsh of natives had attacked the camp and there was reason to fear that the same might have happed to Mary-lou and co.
"Well, there only one way to find out what the news is and that's to open the letter." said Jem.

I always wonder who Marge is when Madge is given the name!!

Here the update

Madge opened the letter and began to smile.
"I take it, we have had some good news." He said as he waited for her to tell him what it said.
Madge Laughed. "I'll read it to you.

Dear Madame

I am safe and sound, we finaly made it out of the Amazon a few days ago and we are now being check over by some Brazilian doctors. I have decided now that I want to settle down with the kid me and my Husband have had. I was thinking about a jon when a saw an advertisement in the paper for the post as Head of The Chalet School, so I applied for the job. I am coming over to England in the next few weeks before I finaly go back to see the little one at Aunt Joeys house. I have decided that I am going to live near Aunt Joey since I want Dorris Marry to go to the Chalet School like I did.

"Now what do you think about that?" Asked Madge to Jem.
"I think Mary-lou would make a great head." Smiled Jem. "I know she did her qualification when her step-father got ill and she decided she couldn't travil the world since she would look after her mother." He looked at her. "Did she say she was coming here?"
"Yes, she intents to come here after seeing her sister." Madge smiled. "That remains me is Verity-anne coming with us when we go and celebrate the 50th year of the Chalet school."
"Yes, I spoke to her this morning and she said that she wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Well, I'm off to work." He smiled as he left her deep in thought.

Okay I'll leave it there as I think it's a great place to leave off.

My Grandad has been in and out of hospital so I've been so busy.

I'll try and get on more to update my stories. :)

Mary-lou arrived in England a few weeks later. She knocked on the door and smiled as she waited for someone to answer the door. Jem who had been near the door when he heard the knocking opened it and smiled.
"Hello stranger." He laughed as he held the door open whilest Mary-lou walked in.
"Hello Uncle Jem." She smiled as she kissed him on his cheeks and then waited for him to take her to Madge. "This places hasn't changed much." She laughed.
"We try to keep things neat and tidy." He smiled back at her. "I expect you want to see Madge."
"I do." She smiled. "I've wanted to see her for ages but I knew I had to see Verity first."
"So you didn't want to see me then?" Teased Jem.
"Of course I wanted to see you uncle Jem, but somehow I wanted to see Aunty Madge more." She hoped he would understand.
They walked slowly outside to where Madge was sitting in her chair.
"We have a visit." Smiled Jem. "Oh and I'll leave you two to catch up, I have to go to the san, something as come up." He kissed his wife and then kissed Mary-lou before leaving.
"Hello Mary-lou." Smiled Madge as she watched Mary-lou sit down.
"I here that you were worried about me." Said Mary-lou. "It must have been hard expecially after what happened to my father."
"It was Harder for Verity." Replied Madge. "She thought she had lost you and after losing her father, her step-monther and her step-gran she was scared and very lonely."
"I know." Replied Mary-lou. "But it was worth it." She took something out of her bag. "We found a camp that seemed to have been there for some years, the tents where ruined but in one of them I found this box and it says "Professor Trelawny." On it. "I think it belonged to my father, but the problem is that it is locked and I can't seem to find a key. "I was wondering if there was anything in it about what my Father might have found before he had been killed, and when it was that the natives had attacked."
"That sounds interesting and I am sure that you will find away to open it." She smiled, if anyone could open up the little box it was Mary-lou. "That reminds me apparently Joey has decided on a new head." She looked at Mary-lou. "Oh and there is no use asking me if you have the job as I don't know, the only thing I know is that the new head will be decided next week, all the candidates will be present when Joey tell the whole staff who she has chosen."
Mary-lou looked thoughtfull. "That means I'll have to leave in a few days and I realy wanted to look up Clem and Tony whilest I was in England, oh well that can wait." She smiled as she looked at her watch. "I best be off Aunt Madge."
"Oh where you staying?"
"I'm staying with My sister."
"Okay, will I see you again before you go?"
"I'm sorry, but tommorow I'm going to see a few friends and then the day after I'll leave." Said Mary-lou as she kissed Madge goodbye. "I'll see you at Aunt Joeys house when you come."
Mary-lou left and Madge went inside to write some letter.

The next few days where busy for Mary-lou, she want to see her old friend Vi who had been in the gang that Mary-lou was the leader of and they had spend an afternoon talking to each other about their lives and how much they had missed each other. Vi was married to a doctor and had a son and a daughter called Claire who was going to the Chalet school at the start of the year, Vi then asked Mary-lou about her God-child.
"I haven't seen Dorris Marry yet, she's with Aunt Joey." Smiled Mary-lou. "I had important things to do in England before I went there."
"I see." smiled Vi as she interducted Claire to Mary-lou.
After spending the afternoon with Vi, Mary-lou made one last stop, she went to see her mother and lay flowers on her grave and then did the same to her step-dad who was burried next to her mother. She then put flowers on her grans grave.

The next day Verity-Anne took Mary-lou to the airpot.
"If you do open up that box write to me and tell me what is in it." She smiled as she gave her sister a big hug. "Oh and good luck.
"I will." Said Mary-lou. "And thanks, I'll need it." she then hugged her sister back.
She arrived in Switzerland and found Bill waiting for her.
"Hello Miss Wilson." Smiled Mary-lou as she was used to calling Bill Miss Wilson.
"Hello Mary-lou." She smiled. "I have the car here, since we are going straight to the Chalet School, Joey has decided to tell us who the new head is as soon as we get there, since a new school is looking for a head and some of the one's who have applied for our job might apply for theirs if they don't get ours."
"Okay." Said Mary-lou as she got her luggage and followed Miss Wilson to the car.
It took them 2 hours to get to the Chalet school and then they went into the hall where Joey was waiting for them. She smiled when she saw them and at once started speaking.
"As you know, we need a new head and you 4 people who are here made it onto the short list to become it then we all voted and one candidate got most of the votes." She smiled. "I am sorry to those that haven't made it but the new head is Mary-Lou Trelawny."
Mary-lou didn't know what to say, so she just stood there and smiled.
"We have decided on Mary-lou because she knows our ways and so she knows what to do."
A few hours later Mary-lou was in her study with Joey.
"Aunt Joey, I've missed you so much." She smiled. "I just don't know what to say about being head but I'll do my best."
"Well the first thing you need to do is decided on Prefects." Replied Joey. "Mrs Annersley left me a list to give to the new head." She passed the list to Mary-Lou who took it. "Oh and you won't know Mrs Annersley has got married."
"What, no never." Said Mary-lou. "Your kinding me."
"No it's the truth." laughed Joey. "Now I think we should leave this for later I know there is someone who wants to see you and you'll want to see them."
"Your right, there is someone I want to see." Smiled Mary-lou. "But after today, I'll come and sleep in my room in the school as I'll have lot's to do."

Mary-lou smiled as she locked up her study door.
"Has my husband turned up yet?" She asked Joey.
"Well yes and no." Replied Joey. "I have seen Tom once since he came back from Brazil and since then he has been busy trying to find an house for you and Dorris and him to live in."
"Oh and how is Dorris?" Asked Mary-lou.
"She looks just like her mother except she has her fathers eyes." Joey smiled. "I hope that Con will help you get settled into the school."
"Does Con work here?" Asked Mary-lou.
"Yes she does, she teaches English to the little ones." Joey Replied.
"And then there is Clem who teaches art."
"Clem teaches here?" Asked Mary-lou in shock. "Next you will be saying Plato still teaches Music."
"He does, thought this is going to be his last term and it's also going to be Bills last term."
"Does Biddy still teach here?" Asked Mary-lou.
"Yes She does." Smiled Joey. "And then there are a few staff who you won't know but you will know them soon enough."
"Well at least I know a few of the staff." Laughed Mary-lou as she left the school ground and started the short walk to Joey's house. "Is the house still the same or has it changed at all?"
"It's changed a bit but not much." Said Joey. "I can't believe my youngest daughter is 14 this term, you'll see her around school."
"Oh how is Rose?" Asked Mary-lou.
"She is fine and her and Dorris seem to be good friends, though don't leave them alone on there own as they seem to like trouble or as they say trouble comes looking for them." She stopped and looked at Mary-lou. "What is this about a box I hear?"
"I found it at a campsite in the Amazon." She looked shocked. "How do you know about it?"
"Madge sent me a letter and phoned me upto tell me about it." Replied Joey.
"Oh and why did she do that?" Asked Mary-lou.
Joey looked around to make sure that no one was listerning. "Because apparently your father had something in his possesion the day he was killed some sort of map that was hidden in his belonging, it was important as it shows some secret tunnel on this island where gold is burried and not just gold but other stuff as well. Apparently the natives heard about it and that is why they killed everyone, well nearly everyone."
"But you said." Started Mary-lou remembering the conversation they had when she was 11.
"I know what we said." Smiled Joey. "But we thought you wear too young to know the trueth and the goverment thought that the map would be safely hidden in the amazon, but you have now brought this box back with you and until it is open we don't know if the map is in there or not."
"I simple don't know what to say." Replied Mary-lou. "If you are right and this map is in it, what a way to celebrate the 50th year of the Chalet school, with another big mystery."
"It always seems to happen to use, doesn't it." Laughed Joey, "Oh and don't tell anyone about what I have told you, we don't want anyone to know, now shall we get home so you can see Dorris I know she is longing to meet you."
Mary-lou and Joey continued on there way and soon from out the bushes near to where they had been talking came these two men.
"Seems like we have found the map then." One of the men smiled. "It should be easy to go into the school one night and steal the map." He laughed.
"I think this might be one of our most easy mission ever." Laughed his mate.
"I think we should head of back to our hotel and send a message to the king of Ethiopia telling him we have final found the map and that he will soon have it."
They both set off back to there hotel to send news to the king that after all the years of searching they have finaly found what the've been looking for.
Mary-lou followed Joey into the house and the first person she saw was Jack.
"Hello Uncle Jack." She smiled. "Or can I call you Jigger?"
"No you can't call me Jigger and how do you know about that?"
"Oh just that carola dad accidently told her your name and she accidently told me." Laughed Mary-lou.
"Well you wait until I see Andy again." Replied Jack. "He's bringing Carola to the party at the end of the term."
"Oh that reminds me Mary-lou you will have to pick 3 students who do well and help each other for the special prize then we all vote and the winner gets the special prize and also we are going to a small sale and a play before we have fun and games and then everyone is going to sign the book of passed and present pupils."
"Sounds interesting." Smiled Mary-lou. "Anything else?"
"We are going to Tirol for a treat one weekend." Said a new voice from the doorway.
Joey walked over to Dorris and whispered something to her.
"Mummy." Cried Dorris as she run over to her. "I am glad I am finaly seeing you at long last."
Mary-lou clung to the little girl in her arms and smiled she couldn't believe how much Dorris had grown.
"I've missed you darling." said Mary-lou as she kissed her daughter.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Jack went to answer it. He came back with a smiled on his face and a man walking behind him.
"Tom." Smiled Mary-lou as she let go of Dorris and went to kiss her husband. "It's seems like years since I last saw you."
"Mary-lou, I know." He said as he smiled and held out his hand so Dorris could cuddle him to.
Dorris didn't know what to do a first until Jack whispered something in her ears.
Dorris ran to her mother and father. "I am glad you are back." Smiled Dorris as she hugged them both. "You aren't going to leave me again are you?"
"No never again sweety." Smiled Mary-lou. "I have a job as head of the Chalet School"
"Fancy my own mother being head of the school." Laughed Dorris as she went off to find Rose and tell her.
The 4 grow ups sat down and started to talk whilest drinking there cups of tea that Anna had made for them.
"So Tom have you found an house?" Asked Jack after awhile.
"I have." He replied. "At long last me, Mary-lou and Dorris can be a proper family."
"Oh Tom, I've wanted that for ages." Smiled Mary-lou. "Ever since we left the amazon after all that time."
"I know darling." He smiled as he cuddled her. "I had best go back to the hotel I am staying at." He smiled as he left.
"I had best return to school." Replied Mary-lou. "We have a lot to do before the children return in a weeks time."
And with that she went and said goodbye to Dorris and then headed back to school to her own private bedroom and put her things down, she knew in the morning she and Bill and a few other staff that was there would be having a meeting but for now she could relax, She sat down on the bed and thought to herself it was going to be an eventful term.

The next morning Mary-lou woke up early it was only 7.00am when she went downstairs to make her breakfast, she forgot now that she was a headteacher and that the cooks would make her breakfast. She got into the hall and smiled she had had some wonderful times in that hall but one would always stick out in her mind, the night when they had been playing a game and she had tried to escape the demons by climbing on top of a draw only for her to get stuck on there when it had started to go lobsided.
"Hello Miss." Said someone behind her causing Mary-lou to jump in shock. "I'm sorry Miss I didn't mean to frighten you, I just wanted to know if you wanted you breakfast."
"It's okay." Replied Mary-lou. "Oh and yes please." Suddenly remembering she was the head and so didn't have to make her own breakfast.
"Do you want it in Your study Miss?" Asked the Maid.
"Yes please." Replied Mary-lou.
"Okay Miss." Smiled the Maid as she went off.
Mary-lou left the hall and smiled as she opened the door to her study, it seemed a lot small now she was the head of the school than it did when she was a student getting told off in here. She was just thinking about all the times she had been in the heads office when the maid came in with a nice cup of coffee and some breakfast.
"Is that all Miss?" She asked as she put the stuff down on the desk.
"Yes thank you." Replied Mary-lou. "Oh and when Miss Wilson is up tell her to come to here."
"Okay Miss." Smiled the Maid as she left.
Mary-lou settled down to her food and had just finished it when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in." Mary-lou smiled as she put the foke down.
Miss Wilson walked into the room followed by a maid who took the empty plate away and came back with another cup and a pot that was fill of coffee.
Mary-lou waited for the maid to leave before she turned to Miss Wilson.
"Miss Wil." She started but Bill cut across her.
"Don't you think you should call me Bill now that you are Head instead of Miss Wilson." She said in a harsh voice.
Mary-lou recognised that Bill was unhappy about something. "What's the matter Bill?"
"The fact that you are the head, It will be hard for me to get used to calling you anything but Mary-lou and the fact that you got given the job even though there were many better qualified people who wanted the job, I wanted someone else to have it because I taught you and I also punished you when you did wrong. I wouldn't have minded if you were just a teacher but you are head."
"Okay, well why don't we just do the best we can, I hear you are leaving at the end of the term and so a new deputy head will need to be picked then, though if this continues I'll advice we have a clean break and a new deputy head is picked now." Snapped Mary-lou.
"You wouldn't, after all I have done for you." Snapped back Miss Wilson.
"Just watch me." Replied Mary-lou
The noice that the two where making was so loud that Clem who had been for a walk outside had heard them and had decided to go and see what was wrong. She knocked on the door.
"Come in." Mary-lou said sharply.
Clem entered the room.
"Is everything okay?" Asked Clem.
"Yes everything is okay." Smiled Mary-lou
Clem looked over at Bill who seemed to be a right mood and was about to say something when the post came and something made Mary-lou seem stressed.
"What is it?" Asked Clem.
"We are to have a last minute student and her name is Sarah Hope." Replied Mary-Lou.
"Her mother is Emerence Hope and apparently she is like her mother in she does what she want when she wants to."
"Well like her mother used to be." Interupted Miss Wilson.
"Please don't interupt me Bill." Mary-lou snapped back.
Joey who had a few minutes spare had decided to come and make sure everything was okay heard Bill and Mary-lou and rushed into the study.
"Now break it up you two." She smiled.
"I want Clem to be made deputy head now." Replied Mary-lou. "I think that since Bill is leaving at the end of term and we have just got a new head a new deputy would be good as well."
"I think you might have a point there." Smiled Joey. "But I think Bill will stay Deputy head and Clem can become Head of Middles as that is one reason I came here, I forgot to tell you we needed one and if Clem does good she can take over as Deputy head when Bill leaves."
"Oh thank you." Smiled Clem.
"Now that settled it." Replied Joey.
Mary-lou and Bill both wanted to say something but they both decided against it. Though Bill thought that she would try and get even with Mary-lou and Mary-lou thought that she would do anything to get rid of Bill, why should she have Bill as deputy head when Bill was leaving soon anyway it didn't make sence.
They all left to do there own things and to get ready for the start of term.
The next few days when piecefully and soon the big day arrived Mary-lou had picked Prefects and the Head Girl but no one but her and Joey knew who they were not even Bill who was annoyed about it since Miss Annersley had allows told her before the start of term who was going to be Prefects though the girls always give themselfs there jobs and that was going to remain the same. Bill and Clem watched as the buses pulled up and all the students and teacher climbed out and went inside. The next few hours were hectic and by tea time they were staving and went into the hall, no one knew who the new head was except for the staff and of course Doris and Rose who was happy about the appointment but had been told not to tell anyone else. Doris and Rose sat next to each with Claire next to them, it seemed like they had form a friendship already.
Bill waited for the noice to stop and smiled as she got up out of her chair and addressed the room. "It's with great pleasure I interduce to you Mrs Trelawny as the new head."
Mary-lou walked into the hall.
"I know her." Whispered Claire "she was my mums best mate."
"She is my mum." Whispered back Doris.
"I know we might be able to get away with a few thing." whispered Rose and she started to giggle.
Mary-lou walked up and took her place at the head of the table and addressed the room. "I'll let you eat first after that I will need to talk to you about some stuff." She then started to eat her own food and so did everyone else.

Half an hour later all the plates were finished with and Mary-lou got up out of her seat and said the prayers after that she spoke.
"Welcome back, everyone and for the new girl welcome to the Chalet School, As many of you know our Matron left at the end of the last term due to old age and so a new one has been hired by Mrs Maynard, her name is "Matron Doom."
Everyone felt like giggling but decided against it though Rose whispered to Doris. "I hope she isn't anything like her last name suggest, I wouldn't want to be ill and be doomed."
This caused Dorris to giggle lookerly Mary-lou didn't notice and continued with the Speach.
"I am also here to tell you that Miss Barras has been made head of the middle school, so if any of you have any problems please go and see her and she'll help you." She smiled. "As for the rest of you if you have a problem please come and see me or your form tutor." She then finished. "That is all if you would all like to get your things together and then your tutors will take you all for a short trip."
Sarah Hope looked up and smiled. "I am sorry to inform you that I can not." She said.
All the students looked room and gasped no one had ever refused to do what the head had said before, well not since Verity-anne or Emmence Hope was their.
"Excuse me but I am head and you will do as you are told." She smiled.
"I am sorry Miss but I can't, I have been told by someone who once came here that these walks are dangerous." She replied as she put her feet on the desk.
Bill had seen enough. "Young lady you will come and repo." She started to say but Mary-lou cut across her.
"You will do nothing that Miss Wilson has just said, instead you will go on your walk and then come to my study, you have two choses go on the walk or go to matron and tell her that you have been sent to bed." Snapped Mary-lou.
"I'll go to bed then." Shouted back Sarah Hope.
"Go then as for the rest of you, I want to see you on your walk that is except for those in the last year, they can go into there room you all know who the prefects are apparently Mrs Annersley told you at the end of last term so you can all go into your own study and i'll be there shortly to annouce the Head girl to you." She smiled.
They all went off there different ways and soon the girls who were prefects were discussing things.
"I think you will be Head girl, Jessica Your mum was head girl and they were the best." Samantha smiled.
"I agree with Samantha." Said Frieda.
Mary-lou walked into the room and smiled. "The new head girl is Jessica Lucy." She then left the room for the others to decided who would have the jobs.
"Told you Jessica." laughed Samantha, she suddenly saw the girl who had been rude to the head in the room.
"Excuse me, shouldn't you be in bed?" Asked Frieda.
"Yeah, but I don't listern to people like that, who think they are the boss of everyone, did you see how she treated the Deputy-head she made her feel like a little insect." Sarah.
"Well we don't care, all we care about is the fact you aren't in your bed like you should be." Replied Jessica who also noticed the way Mary-lou had treated Miss Wilson but wasn't going to say anything infront of Sarah.
"I don't want to go to bed and you lot can't make me." Shouted Sarah.
Miss Wilson who had been walking around the area went to see what was going on.
"Sarah Hope, you should be in bed, come to my office this instant." Snapped Bill who was in a bad mood.
"Why. Mrs Trelawny won't be happy if I go, so doesn't like you." Laughed Sarah.
Bill picked her up and took her to her office.
"Now you." She started when she noticed two men lurking outside the school, she wondered what they wanted but had more important things to do.
Bill went to her door and asked Rebecca who was walking passed to get matron for her, Matron came a few minutes later.
"What is it Miss?" She asked.
"This girl was sent to bed for punishment but she refues to go." Replied Bill.
"Okay, I'll see that she does." smiled the Matron as she walked off with Sarah.
Bill turned her attention back to the bushes where she had seen the two men they had gone, suddenly Mary-lou walked in.
"Everything okay?" She asked.
"Yes Mary-lou." Replied Bill. "It seems like we had some people who are spying on the school."
"Don't make stuff up Bill." Snapped Mary-lou. "I've had enough for one day."
Soon it was night time and all the children where in bed and so were the staff. Well nearly all the student.
"Come on you two." Whispered Rose.
"Where coming." Dorris whispered back.
"Will we get into trouble?" Asked Claire.
"Of course, not lets go to my mums study and see what she has to do." Suggested Dorris.
So the three of them set of towards the study but stopped when they heard noices inside.
"It has got to be here." Snapped someone. "I know it has."
"Shh." There someone awake I can here them coming lets get out, we can come back another day." Said the man.
The next thing that Doris heard was the men leaving, she quickly went into the room and so the mess that had been made. She looked around and so did Rose and Claire, they were just about to tidy it up when the light came on and a voice said.
"What are you doing in here?"
They turned around and saw Miss Peach one of the History teachers looking at them.
"Doris just because your mum is head of the school doesn't mean you can do this to her office."
"It wasn't us." Said Dorris.
"Oh wasn't it." Said Miss Peach sarcasticly when she suddenly saw a maid. "Can you please wake Bill and Mary-lou up."
"Yeah miss I can." The maid replied.

Update. :)

The Maid went to Mary-lou first and woke her up.
"Excuse me miss but Miss Peach asked me if I could wake you up she is in your study with three students that were caught trying to sneak in there I think." She smiled.
"Thanks for waking me up." Said Mary-lou as she started to get her night dress on and head of down the stairs.
Meanwhile the maid had gone and woke Bill up and told her more about the incident then she had told Mary-lou, Bill quickly went to the office and got there at the same time of Mary-lou.
Mary-lou saw Doris, Rose and Claire and her mouth dropped now she would have to tell them off for the mess in the room.
"What do you think you were doing in here?" She asked them.
"We saw strang." Started Claire but Mary-lou cut across her.
"Come on your in enough trouble as it is without lieing." Snapped Mary-lou she was tired and didn't want to play kiddies games.
"We aren't lieing." Said Rose as she noticed something on the floor and whilest Mary-lou wasn't looking she picked it up so that she could show Bill it later on.
Mary-lou stood there a few minutes and then spoke. "I think that for the next three days you three will be spending them on your own, Doris you will sleep in my room on the couch and have your lession in there, Rose you will be spending time in Bills room, I will talk to Joey and make sure she is happy with the arrangement and Claire you can spend the time with Matey in her room."
The three girls blushed but the one that was most upset was Doris she would have to keep with her mother for three days and wasn't allowed to speak to Rose or Claire, at least Rose had Bill who was nice, but as for Mary-lou, Doris was wondering if Joey had been lieing to her when she talk about her mother or if her mother was worried about something and so was taking it out on everyone else.
"Come on Doris, I haven't got all day." Snapped Mary-lou as she waited for Doris to come.
With one last look at Bill, Miss Peach, Claire and Rose, Doris left the room and then followed her mother up the stairs.
"Miss Peach, can you tell me exactly what you heard in the morning?" Asked Bill, like Doris she was worried that Mary-lou wasn't telling them something, she had noticed alot of change in Mary-lou and was worried that whoever had trashed her office was looking for something.
"Okay, Miss Wilson." Replied Miss Peach as she took Claire to spend her next three days with Matey.
Bill waited for the others to leave then looked at Rose. "Rose what was it you picked up, and don't say nothing I saw you pick it up."
Rose went Pink. "I was going to tell you later, once I had read it." She smiled as she handed the letter over to Bill.
Bill read the letter.

Dear Madame.

We are going to search the place from top to bottom until we get what we want, you know that we need the map as it shows us the long lost cave in the tyrol where the money is burried, We are going to get this map one way or another and if it means that we have to destroy this school doing it, then we will do. I know why you took the job on as this school was originaly in Tyrol and you are trying to find out as much as you can as apparently one of the students found the place and you think that you could get the information then resign and go to Tyrol at the end of the term. Let me asure you that King Nagma of Ethiopia has loads of power and insists that you give the map to him and if you don't then at least know that what ever happens to the school it is your own fault.

Bill read the letter and her eyes grow wide with fear, she decided that first thing in the morning she would show Joey and then hopefully Joey could get answers from Mary-lou but as things where she knew they weren't safe her and they might have to leave the place, which gave her an Idea that probably would help everyone.

Bill told Rose to go to her room and wait for her as soon as Rose had left she picked up a pen and started to write to Marge, she was sure that Madge would say yes and that everyone would be happy, she knew that the old school was up for sale and she would love to spend time there.

Dear Madame.

I am writing to you to ask you if you have thought about finaly going back to Tyrol. I know that when we had to leave you said you wanted us to go back there and I've just thought that the 50th anniversary would be a great time to finaly go home, I would love to here what you think and I am sure like me, you will think it will be a great idea, the old san and the old school is available. I have checked up on that and I'm sure that if we can buy it within the next two weeks then we can finaly go home and I will have left the school where we first were.

Bill left the room and took the letter upstairs with her where she found Rose already asleep on the couch, she put both letters in her draw and locked it before she went into her bed and fell asleep.

The next morning she posted the letter and then decided she would go to Joey after she had got a reply from Madge. She knew it would take at least a week so she hoped that everything would go well until then.

Three days later, Rose, Claire and Doris where allowed to go back to their dorms and classes.

Meanwhile on the same day they were allowed back in their classes, the letter had finaly arrived at Madge.

I would just like to appologize and let you all know, this will be updated soon, I am into my last few weeks at college and we are having loads of exams and sending of loads of our work for marking. :coffee:

When the letter go to Madge she openned it straight away incase it was something important. She quickly read though it and she was just finishing when Jem came out to where she was.
"How are you today?" He asked as he kissed her on the cheek. "How are you feeling today?"
"I'm feeling good." She smiled. "Now read this and tell me if you think it will be possible." She handed over the letter.
Jem looked at the letter and back to her. "I think that would be a good thing to do, I think I saw that the old san was available and that the school ground was available, I think it would be great to go there after all this time and I'm sure that Tirol would love to have a school up there again." he smiled. "I'll see if we can get something moving and I've had another idea, why don't we start a branch there and leave the one in Switzerland so that people can decided where to send there kids, I think it is about time we continue to build up the school, you know we have like 50,000 people trying to get there kids into the school but can't because we are full, so if we have another school we could get at least 350 more people into the school max I would say would be around 750, I've already said we need to expand."
Madge laugh at Jem. "When I started the school I only wanted 1 school in Tirol for Jo and a few other people, and know look we have loads of places and I can't believe how we have grown, and I didn't ever think that I would be come Lady Madge Russell."
"I still remember the day we first met, you were saving that life of that aweful woman, I wonder what happened to her, I know we have had a few run in with her when Jo was younger." He laughed. "Now I think you should write that letter and then you should go and rest."
Madge picked up her pen and started to write.

Dear Bill.
We think it would be great to finaly be able to go back to the Briesau after all this time away and I'm sure the local would have us back, but the thing is we as a school like the San next to us and we don't know if the building that used to be the San is available, I hope that it is because if it is we can finaly go back home but until we find out then there is no point for us to be so far away from the san, I think that it would be good for us to say that it is a possible for us to go back to Briesau but until we are certain I think it would be good if we kept it to ourself, I hope that you are having a great term and that everyone is excited to be part of the 50th anniversary of the school, I can not believe how the time has flown, I hope that you have remembered to send out invertations to the old girl that are still alive. I have rejected this offer off this business man who has tried to buy the school of me, apparently he owns loads of schools in Ethiopia and he has the backing of the King there, he seemed eager to buy the school but like I said I have turned it down, as I have always intended to leave the school to Joey when I final pass.

She quickly put the letter into a envelope and called the maid to take it to the post office straight away, when she has seen the maid leave the house and out of the Garden she got up out of her chair and went for a little sleep.

Meanwhile back at the Chalet School, Mary-Lou was teacher a Georgraphy class, she had decided that she would teach the Seniors, since she was good at Georgraphy and she was sure that Bill thought she wouldn't be able to teach and she also wanted to keep an eye on Dorris who was in her class at the minute.
"Okay class, on your map I want you to colour in Ethiopia, Germany, England, Ireland, U.S.A and Brazil." She smiled after looking at the class and realising there was only 10 minutes to go until they finished the class and ended the schooling day. "When you have finished you will bring me your map and I will mark it and let you go if you have done it right if not you will have to do it again." She smiled as she sat down at the teachers chair, looking and thinking about when she was a student there, she didn't realised that Emily had finished until the little girl said. "Miss, I have finished."
Mary-lou looked at her and took her map and looked at it. "I said you were to Colour in those countries not colour the rest of them in and leave those blank." She quickly went around the class to see if she could see anyone else doing the oppersite and found that everyone but Samantha had done the wrong thing. She sent Samantha out of the classroom and looked around the room, her face was red with anger.
"WHAT WERE YOU ALL THINKING?" She shouted as she looked around the room. "Have you paid attention to anything you were told in this lesson?"
"Sorry Miss." Said the Class.
"I want you all to read page 50-55 in the book I gave you tonight, instead of doing anything you wanted to tonight." She said. "Class dismissed."

The next few days when along without anymore incident, except for a few small incidents, like Clare accidently spilling ink over a rug and a couple of Prefects getting lost when they went out for a walk, other than that nothing much had happened, which was good with all the things that had happened since the beginning of term only 2 weeks ago. As soon as Madge's letter arrived and Bill had read it she decided she would have to have a word will Joey about Mary-lou and she decided the best time would be when Mary-Lou took the middles on an experdition with Clem and Biddy and this teacher called Miss Rodes, who had only been at the school for two terms. They were going to go to Tirol for a visit as part of the celebrations. The next day they set off and that night they ended up in Tirol, but what no one had realised was that they had been followed by two cars.

I think that would be a good place to leave off. :halo:

This is the next part. :)

Mary-lou got off the coach they couldn't believe how quick it was to get to Tirol now, she was sure it was quicker this time then it was the last time she had come here with Aunt Joey.
"I am sure we must be at the wrong place, we arrived to quickly." She looked at Clem.
"No we just when on this new motoway, it's the first one to open, they are building them all over the world." Clem replied.
"I never knew that." Replied Mary-lou "I'm sure your pulling my legs."
"No i'm not, they are suppost to cut travil time down." She replied. "Anyway, I don't think we should stand out here talking whilest the children are in the bus waiting for us."
"I think that we should go and tell the children to go into the Kronz Prinz-Karl." She smiled, she was wondering who owned it now.
"Mary-lou, Is that you?" Asked someone who had come out of the hotel.
"Tom?" Mary-lou looked shooked. "What you doing here?" She asked.
"I own the hotel, I brought it at auction, after the last manager Herr Braun died." Replied Tom. "So are you teaching at the Chalet School now?"
"No I'm the Head Teacher." She smiled.
"Well I always thought you would do great." Tom smiled back. "Anyway let's not waste anymore time and let's get everyone inside, I'm sure that everyone will want some supper and then they should go to bed."
"Yeah I think your right." Smiled Mary-lou.
Mary-lou and Clem went with Tom to pick up there room keys, they had booked the hotel for the weekend. Mary-lou walked back on to the bus.
"Okay people there are 40 children and 4 tutors including myself, there are 4 bedroom floor to this hotel, 1 teacher and 10 children to a floor these will be the people who will go on experdition with you, so I will read the list of ten student then the name of the tutor who will be there guide for the weekend." She smiled.
She read the names and then she sent the students to there guide, she soon had just her 10 people which included Rose, Claire and her own daughter Doris.
She went into the hotel and all was well for the rest of the night with them.

Meanwhile the two cars had pulled up and had got into a house that was near to the hotel, they had bought the house a few weeks back and were taking it in turns to keep an eye on the hotel.
"I have an idea." Smiled Luke. "I think that we should get one Adams daughters into the school, I'm sure we could add her into the school without anyone realising what is going on."
Adam looked at Luke. "I'm ahead of you on that one, my daughter Sophie is with the party, she joined the school last week."
"Why didn't you tell us." Luke looked at Adam.
"I didn't want anyone to know, though she will find out what she can then she will report to us." Smiled Adam. "I'm expecting her call soon.

Back at the Hotel Sophie was making sure Rose was asleep, she quickly went to her suitcase and took out her mobile phone and rang her dad.
"Chalet intruder calling Kings Advicer, come in dad."
"Kings Advicer here go ahead."
"I am in the Head's group, I'll try and talk to her tomorrow and ask her about that box she found in the amazon, I have found out that the box belonged to her dad and she keeps it safe, she hasn't figured out how to open it."
"That's good, we can't have her figuring out how to open it either, it would ruin everything, before the man died. "I'm sure that the English Army told him to take the box there so no one would ever find it."
"What's in it?"
"let's just say that the goverment don't want people to find it. I think you should go before you are caught we've been talking ten minutes now."

Luke looked at Adam. "What is in the Box?" He asked.
"all I know is that the King of Ethiopia says that there is more than 10 million pounds on this island, that no one but the english know about."
"Wow." Smiled Luke. "That's a lot of money, but there must be something else there if the king of Ethiopia wants to know about it."
"I don't know, now I suggest we get some sleep." Smiled Adam.

Next morning back in Tirol Bill had gone to see Joey.
"Joey I want the truth, what is in that box that Mary-lou brought back?"
"No one knows." replied Joey. "Oh and this is Major Frank William of the British Army, he is trying to find the box, he says that it is highly important that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands."
Major Frank William looked at Bill and nodded and Bill nodded back.
"It's a pleasure to meet such a fine woman." Smiled the Major.
"The pleasure is all mine." Blushed Bill, which was something she doesn't normal do.
"I was thinking we should place some of the army around the school, just incase they try to come back and attack the school." Smiled the Major.
"I would love that." Smiled Bill and Joey. "I think that would be great."
"I would say five would do, two at the front gate and 3 more on the inside patrolling the Corridors and the front entrance." Smiled Bill.
"I think so too." The Major looked at Bill. "Mind if I walk you back to school?"
"Not at all." Replied Bill.
Bill and the Major walked back to the school together, and they had a lot in common, by the time they had got to the school they had arranged to meet on the Wednesday at the local Cafe.
"My men will be here at 10o'ck tomorrow, we have 20 men here so they can take it in turn to keep an eye out for anyone acting suspicious near the school." The Major said as he turned and headed off back towards where his troops where.

Meanwhile back at Tirol Mary-lou had taken her lot to the old school grounds, where it had been before she had joined the school, this was were Madge herself had decided to start the school off when Joey had been at the school.
"Mary-lou can I have a word?" Asked Sophie.
"Of course you can?" Replied Mary-lou.
"I was just wondering what your father did?" Smiled Sophie.
"He was a famous person, he has some work in the museum he was famous for finding a few new species of butterflies." She smiled.
"What did he do in the war?"
"He did what he always did try and find butterflies, though his brother my proper uncle who died dure in the war was a Major in the army and was trying to hide something when he was killed, I have alway wondered if that is what is in the box, I have heard rumours that there is 10 million pound on this island and that the box nows where it is but me personal I think it is something much more important, like where all the secret tunnel are that the english use to store all the paintings of value, no one know for sure but there all I have figured out is that there are many traps and a curse...." Mary-lou suddenly stopped. "I think I have said enough, don't repeat anything to the other children."
"I won't" Replied Sophie, who had just pick up this piece of paper that the Mary-lou had dropped and read it. "The stolen Painting are in the old Chalet school building in Tirol. Sophie made a note of that.
Mary-lou smiled she had dropped the paper on purpose she now knew that she couldn't trust Sophie and she was going to tell Rose, Claire and Doris to keep and eye on her and she was also going to tell them to make sure she didn't contact anyone when they got back to the Chalet school. she wanted Sophie to tell them about it now as she knew they would get into trouble for going there.
Sophie smiled, she wasn't that stupid, she was sure the note was fake and what was more it was in Mary-lou's writing, she wasn't going to tell anyone about it, she would just have to find away of finding out where Mary-lou's box was.
The weekend when quickly and quietly and soon they were back at school. That night Sophie decided to leave her dorm and try and find out if she could find the box for her dad, who was now staying at Lukes house and waiting for any news on where the box was, once they had that they could go into the school grab it and leave. Sophie was walking along the corridor when someone suddenly shouted.
"Halt, who goes there."
"It's Sophie, I'm in the third form, I need the toilet so I decided to try and find it." Sophie replied.
"I'll take you." Smiled the man as he came over come on, he said as he lead her to the toilets and waited outside whilest she went and then took her back to her dorm. Doris who had been told by her mother what was going on and that Sophie was a spy was keeping an eye on Sophie.
Sophie didn't know what to do, she went over to her draw and rumbled around.
"What you doing?" Asked Doris as she got out of her bed.
The noice woke up the rest of the dorm, Rose went and turned on the lights.
"Nothing." Replied Sophie.
"I don't believe you." Said Claire. "I think your a spy and your trying to help those men take that box off Mary-lou, well don't worry about that as it has now gone to the Ministry in England where it will be keep safe."
"What you talking about?" Asked Sophie.
"You know what she's talking about." Smiled Rose. "We don't take kindly to having spy's in the school, do we girl."

Okay I think that's a good place to leave off. :halo:

The next part will include the celebration of the 50th year of the Chalet school, I was wondering if you wanted the weddings of Miss Annersley and Miss Wilson to be apart of it or if you want a new fan fict that follows on from this one.

I was thinking of starting another fan fict to follow on but I want to know if you think it can be done.

The final part.

Sophie looked around she was scared. "What you going to do with me?" She asked.
"I don't know, what do you think girl?" Replied Rose
"I think we should cut her hair until she tells us what she is doing and why she is spying." Laughed Natasha.
"Now that's a great idea." Smiled Rose.
Sophie looked at them she was scared, she had this feeling that they would do it if they wanted to and she liked her hair the way it was.
"Pl...ea...se don't." Sophie cried.
"I think it wil......." Started Rose.
"You will all go into your bed now." Shouted Miss Wilson. "Sophie I want you with me." She was shocked at what she had heard and she wasn't going to let it happen to anyone in her last term. "You will sleep in my room, with me for the rest of the term."
"Yeah miss." Smiled Sophie, she was happy, it was going to be hard for the others to do anything to her whilest she was with Miss Wilson.
Sophie followed Miss Wilson out of the room and into Miss Wilson room.

The next day Miss Wison talked to the rest of the dorm.
"I think you know what you did was wrong, so I won't take you to the head this time, next time I will have to, for now all you will have to do is help matey with the bedding for the next week."
"But miss, we have o.." Started Claire.
"But miss nothing." Shouted Bill. "I don't want anyone to say anything else."
"Yes Miss" Said the class together.
"Well now I think it's time for you lot to get off to your lessons." Smiled Miss Wilson, who had a free period and was going to meet Major Williams.
The dorm filed out and went to join Sophie who was waiting for there Maths class, they knew they shouldn't try and ask her any question, because Miss Wilson would find out and they would be in more trouble so they had decided they would wait until the next term to find out anything else.

Miss Wilson left the school 10 minutes after giving the children there punishment, she had done up her hair and had also brought along some brandy for the Major, she was the first to arrive and so she sat down at a table and waited, around 5 minutes after Bill had sat down the Major arrived with some flowers and Chocolate.
"I'm sorry I'm late." He smiled. "I got held up with some work." He handed the Chocolates and flowers over to her and she handed him the Brandy.
"I knew it would be something important." She smiled back at him.
"It's very important," He said as he kissed her on the cheek and waited for her to sit down before he did. "So what is it you want to eat?"
They decided on what they wanted and then they sat down and had a meal together at the end of the meal the Major had one more suprise for Bill.
"Bill Wilson." He said getting down on one knee. "I know we have only just met a few weeks back, but I was wondering if you would Marry me."
"I will." Smiled Bill.
"I think we should head off to the school." Smiled the Major.
"I think so too." Replied Bill as she got up and they left.

A few days later Bill was talking to Joey.
"I never, ever thought that you would get married." Said Joey after being told the news.
"I didn't think I would either, anyway we have decided, that is Madge, Hilda and myself have decided we will get married in the school chapel as part of the 50th celebration of the school, we thought it would be fitting." Smiled Bill.
"I think that is great." Laughed Joey. "This is going to be a right celebration."
"I know what you mean and it's only a couple of weeks away." Bill said with a sigh. "And then I won't be a teacher, I'll be heading into retirement with a nice hubby."
"Well I can't wait for the celebrations to start." Smiled Joey. "Oh and what's going on with the Army they don't seem so concerned with Mary-lou's box anymore?"
"I have no idea." giggled Bill. "But I have also realised that something strange is going on with the Army."
"We'll probably find out soon enough." Said Joey.

The next few weeks so the old students that could make it to the celebrations arrive and either stay in hotel or stay with friends that was there, the first thing that would happen would happen on thursday and that would be the weddings of Bill and Hilda on the Friday would be a sale and also Madge would tell them the news.

Thursday was a great day, the sun was shining and there was only a slight breeze in the air.
"Are you nerves?" Bill asked her old friend Hilda.
"A little." Giggled Hilda. "You?"
"A little." Smiled Bill.
The school was filing into the school chapel and at the front of the chapel were Major Frank William and Brian Smith, they were dressed smartly, they both looked cheerful as the music played and out came Bill Wilson and Hilda Annersley, once they got there the Vicor spoke.
"Do you Bill Wilson, take Major Frank William to be your husband?"
"I do." Replied Bill.
"And do you Major Frank William take Bill Wilson to be your wife?"
"I do" Replied The Major.
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife."
He turned to Hilda and Brian.
"Do you Hilda Annersley take Brian Smith to be your Husband?"
"I do." Smiled Hilda.
"And do you Brian Smith take Hilda Annersley to be your wife?"
"I do." Brian smiled.
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife."

Later on that night the Prefects were talking.
"I hope Miss Wilson is happy." Smiled Laura who was the Music Prefect.
"Don't you mean Miss William." Giggled Zoey who was the Games Prefect.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to that." Replied Laura. "To me she'll always be Miss Wilson."
"Well now whenever you see her you'll have to call her Miss William and you'll have to call Hilda, Miss Smith." Laughed Emma who was the Head Girl. "We'll lets turn in before Matey eats us alive."
"I think you had better." A voice said from the doorway. "Or Matey might do something worse."
They all turned around and saw Matey at the door with a smile on her face.
"We were going." Laughed Emma.


The next day saw the Parents arrive for the Sale and that included Adam and the first thing he did was look for Sophie.
"Have you found out anything?" He asked her.
"Yeah the Army aren't as interest in the box as they were." Whispered Sophie incase anyone was listening.
Dorris and Claire was hiding under the table that Sophie and her dad was talking at trying to find out what was going on.
"We thought that would be the case, it appears that the box isn't as important as everyone thought, you need two boxes, once they come into contact with each other they open and then you find out there secrets, which no one knows about for sure, people are guessing at what the thing is but we are sure no one knows about it." Alex whispered, he didn't want anyone over hearing the conversation.
"Do you have any clue as to who owns the box?" Asked Sophie.
"We have been told by our informer who work at the ministry that Sir Jem Russell has the other box." Alex decided to be truthful. "I'll tell you more later, we don't want to be missed, otherwise people might get suspicious."
Rose and Claire waited for them to go before they moved.
"We had better warn Madge." Said Claire
"I think we should tell Joey." Replied Dorris.
"There you are." shouted Rose. "Where have you been?"
"We'll tell you later." Whispered Claire. "We had better go and listen to what Madge is going to say."
"I wonder where Sir Jem is?" Asked Rose.
"Madge will tell us." Smiled Dorris.
They made there way to where Madge was talking.
"Laddies and Gentlement, it is with pleasure that I can now reveal that today we have raise £954 for the san." She stopped whilest everyone clapped. "Now on to other new, next term Mary-lou will be taking up a position as the head of the new brash in Tirol, we have decided that it is about time we went back to where we started the school, we didn't want to leave there but we were forced to now like I said we can go back, parents have been sent letter asking them which school they want there children to go to." She stopped and looked at everyone. "Now I know that you all will have been wondering why Sir Jem isn't here, he has become very ill these last few weeks and doctor are scared, he has been improving but they have suggested that we move him into mounting air, so when the school opens you'll be seeing more off me as I have brought back the house that me and Jem used to live in and the san and the school is being refurnished into the way it was." She looked at them all. "That is all."
