this is the first story i've written since primary school and is practice for at the gather, so if it's utterly rubbish please tell me in a nice way... The young mother looked down at her firstborn, her only child. The doctors had told her she wasn’t to have another as she wasn’t strong enough. This didn’t upset her; this tiny girl was enough for her and her husband, Paul, but what name to give this baby? On whom the hopes of the family would lie. She looked down into the serious, extravagantly lashed eyes in the little wrinkled face and she knew, she would name her after the girl she had admired so much at school, the girl so unlike herself. Maisie Scott looked down at her daughter, “your name is Josephine” she whispered. [/i] |
