Okay this is following on from where the 50th Year of the Chalet School left off.
Enjoy the first part.
One months had passed since the celebration of the 50th year of the Chalet School and whilest everyone else was busy spending there last week of the holidays enjoying themselves, Jo, Madge and Mary-lou had all been busy moving into their new houses in Tirol, everything was ready, Le-Petit Chalet School was back and would let the juniors have there own area again. Rose and Doris were talking to each other.
"I was sure I wanted to talk to Aunty Joey." Said Dorris. "But with all the moving and so on I have forgotten what it was, I wanted to say."
"Wasn't it something to do with that spy Sophie?" Replied Rose.
"Now I remember what it was I wanted to tell Aunty Joey." Shouted Dorris as she ran off towards Aunty Joey house, Rose followed her wondered why Dorris wanted to talk to her mother and why she hadn't told her much, just that this was something to do with that spy Sophie.
Meanwhile Dorris was unaware that Rose was upset with her and was running at her top speed towards the front door and then into the kitchen where Joey was.
"What's all this about?" Asked Joey as she looked at Dorris. "Why all the running?"
"Bec.." She started then stopped to get her breath back. "Because I wanted to warn you."
"Warn me about what?" Replied Joey puzzled.
"Well it's more to warn Uncle Jem, I was with Claire at the end off last term and we overheard Sophie and her dad talking, they said the reason the English Goverment weren't so bothered about the thing Mary-lou found in the Amazon Forest is because there are two of them and Sir Jem Russell has the other one." She looked at Joey and wondered how Joey was taking in the news.
"I see, and how did they know that then?" She Asked, she had thought that there might have been two off them otherwise the Goverment wouldn't have stopped the protection that they had provided the school, but she wasn't going to let Dorris know that.
"They said that they had a mole in the English Goverment who was leaking information to them." Smiled Dorris truthfully she was sure Aunty Joey didn't believe her. "What took you so long." She giggled as she saw Rose final walk into the kitchen.
"I decided that it was too hot to run in the end." Replied Rose.
"Well I think you too should go into the living room and wait for Anna to bring you, your tea's, Dorris you staying with us tonight, since Tom is away on business and Mary-lou will be spending the night at the school, but tomorrow you will be back home." She smiled. "And Rose you will be going to Mary-lou wants to talk to you about something, don't ask me what for I don't know, all I know is she says it's important."
They all spend the night playing games and they even had a game off slides which was everyones favorate game.
That night Joey was sat on her bed reading, Jack was already asleep, well I say she was reading but even though her book was open she wasn't realy thinking about the book she was thinking more about what Dorris had said to her, and if what she had said to her was right then the school would be in danger once they got the box of Jem, and in his condition she was sure that if he had it with him they could easily get it off him, she decided that at the first chance she got she would go to the San and have a word with him, see if she could do like she had done with the map and that is put it somewhere safe, where the bad guys couldn't find it.
The next evening Dorris and Rose made there way to Mary-lou's house, Mary-lou was waiting at the door to meet them. Dorris ran upto her. "Mummy," She shouted as she ran upto her and hugged her, Mary-lou hugged her back.
"Hi Rose." She smiled as Rose walked up the path. "How are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks for asking." Smiled Rose as she allowed her Aunty to kiss her. "How are you?"
"I'm fine, thanks." Smiled Mary-lou. "Well let's not hang around her to long." She laughed.
Dorris and Rose followed her inside and went and sat on a chair in the dinning room whilest Mary-lou brought in some cakes and a glass of lemmonaide each, she sat down and waited whilest they ate before speaking.
"I bet you wondering what is so important." She said.
"Yes mummy we were curious." Replied Dorris.
"Well you see, I told you about Sophie last term and asked you to keep an eye on her, well this term her sister has joined to school, I tried to stop it, but it seems like the person who thought this school would be good to her was one of Jems best friends until they had an argument about something or other, it was a box I believe Jem got told to keep it with him but this man wanted it and was willing to do anything to get it, apparently he works in the Goverment now, and is still a good friend with Madge." Mary-lou looked around to make sure the maid wasn't in the room. "I think this box Jem has is like mine and you need both off them for whatever it is, like if you have just one you only have half a map." She pulled out her box. "I have final figured out how to open it." She open the box and inside was a piece of parchment, she took of the band that was keeping the parchment rolled up and open it, she then got 4 items and placed them on each corner to keep the parchment open since it was big. "See this is a map, here is where we are Tirol, there is a cross where Robin accidently found the caves, there is also a cross where the Chalet school girls hid the peace league which apparently has been losed for ages, there is also a cross in Tirol and then the map is torn just out to sea, if I am right the other part of the map will be England, but why is it everything the Chalet school has done or been on this map." She looked at them both, "I want you two and Claire to try and find that out." She looked at them. "I'm sure the King of Ethiopia, is after something that either we have or have had, maybe a picture or something."
"Okay." They both said together. "We'll see what we can do."
"Thanks girl." Mary-lou looked at them both. "I can always count on you two." She smiled.
They all spend the rest of the week enjoying themselves, and all to soon it was time to go back to school, Rose and Dorris was going to meet everyone that was coming on the 11o'ck boat.
