She had nobody to help her with the birth. She was all alone. She was frightened by this, but she knew what needed to be done and she was young and strong. She could cope and it wasn’t as if it was her first offspring.

Her body took over. She cried out in pain, but then, finally, it was over.

Then it began again.

It took just over an hour but she was the proud Mamma of quads! She looked at them and they looked back at her. They were beautiful and healthy.

Minette lay back, purring with satisfaction.
