#1: an arrival Author: Robin, Location: LondonPosted: Fri Jul 29, 2005 2:06 pm The thirty minutes that she had been sitting in the room waiting felt like the longest of her life. Longer even than the pain-filled nights that she had endured for so many years, although those were mostly in the past now. But out of her suffering had come a loving husband, great friends and a happy home and now the icing on the cake was about to arrive.
On cue, the door opened, and a little girl ran in and straight over to where she was sitting. Phoebe Peters bent down. ‘Hello Lucy. I’m your new mummy. Welcome home.’
You just reduced me to happy tears when I'm supposed to be packing to go away!
What a lovely idea, Robin.
Thankyou.
