Have been reading all the NTSG drabbles - and thoroughly enjoying them - thought I'd return the favour - this was my drabble! Wink

A blank page, nothing written on it, it seems so discouraging, so totally lacking in any aid. Perhaps she could help, what about this, rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, bugger - finger slipped. Erase that. OK how about this, A Bedtime Drabble, yep, looks good, nice start, positive, right, now what?

‘Got to sort out my packing, need clothes for four days - nothing that’ll get too creased - well that’s a laugh to start with, when did you ever iron stuff when it wasn’t needed? Also, shall I book a cab to the station - might be as well, don’t want to reach Kathye’s and have a heart attack - not a good way to start the weekend, and Caroline wants forty books, plus my rucksack and sleeping bag - yes, think I’ll get a cab, rather pay fifteen quid then ruin the weekend for everyone - at least I assume it would ruin their weekend, can’t say it’d be a good start, I mean there’s not much positive in seeing someone have a myocardial infarction on your doorstep… though I suppose it could be a stroke though ---WILL YOU CONCENTRATE!?!!’

‘Right, so what have you written so far…three words…the title…that doesn’t actually bode well Lesley, does it? It’s Thursday morning, you’re going there today, there’s no excu…oh look, messages in my in box, let me just check…’

‘Couple more drabbles added to - lucky rats, they can think of something to write, I can’t, this is ridiculous, one of the most prolific writers on the board, at last count, including the book and new book, well over three quarters of a million words and can’t write just one solitary page for this. ‘Course the problem is what to write, I mean I can’t write about Hilda can I, that’ll immediately give it away, same for Nell really. And I haven’t got any more bits already written that I can use - like at the Northern Gather - I mean, I wrote that last January, been sitting on my computer ever since. What about something about the CBBers? Naw, there are sure to be any number of them, at least some of which will have me being thrown, bounced or pushed off cliffs! *Grin*

Was that the doorbell?…Oh another order - goody!

NOTES Next start date September? Yes, sounds good, have a few loose ends to sort, what’s going to happen with Katrina? Rosalind’s baby - good job her name’s not Rosemary!! Then there’s the unexpected visitors for Cherry, likely to cause problems for both her and Robbie, Cherry teaching? - Lesley will you concentrate!!! *Hits self on head - ouch*

Right, Chalet School - drabble - why couldn’t it be a 100 word drabble like the Non Gatherers? Though as I’ve only written 3 words that’s not really very helpful either! OK, Chalet School - should be able to think of something, after all my life revolves around it - oh, more emails, maybe someone will have commented on Dilemma…

Nope, *sigh* Do I look like the type of person who’d be interested in a lifetime supply of Viagra? I mean, do I? Wonder how many orders they get from these SPAM emails, SPAM, wonder where that came from? The name I mean, not interested in who sent the email, can’t see that they’ll be easy to get to know, not with all those Viagra tablets…

OK, new drabble, here we go then, setting, Chalet School, obviously, when? How about before Three Go? EBD left a number of years free there. Or could write on Hilda and Nell’s retirement - no! I said I’d not write about them for the bedtime drabbles - what about concentrating on some other characters? Well I’ve done a Matey bedtime drabble, who else - Joey? Madge? Mary Lou? Hmmm, not sure about that, well must write something…oh no, look at the time…gotta get ready, too late now!

Such an expert in keeping us on tenterhooks, waiting for the drabble to begin. Thanks Lesley.

BTW: are you feeling well, it's not like you not to write a real drabble drabble.

Laughing - very amusing. Thanks Lesley. Was it just trying out a different style perhaps? It works well - very true to life as per my experiance anyhow.
