Kat stretched and sat up in bed, feeling rested and relaxed. More relaxed than normal, a sort of happy/fulfilled relaxed that she relished. The sun was shining n through the window, lighting the clothing strewn across the floor. Her clothes, though she knew that others had been there earlier.

She climbed out of bed and went to the window. The mountains stretched away into the distance, the higher ones snow-capped, and the mighty Jungfrau dwarfing them all. Kat started reflecting n the previous evening. She still didn’t understand how it had happened, for he was far, far older than her usual choice of companion. Experienced though! Oh yes! That made up for every silver hair on his head. She could tell that he had been blonde when he was younger, for not every hair on his still slim body had lost it’s colour. She stretched again, like the cat she was named for, and looked forward to the evening and following night. She knew his wife wasn’t interested. She could see the frigidity for herself, and was still surprised at the number of children she had managed to produce.

Down the road Jack Maynard was sitting down to breakfast with his wife. Joey was not as slim as her husband - numerous pregnancies had seen to that.
“What were you doing out so late last night Jack?” she asked. “I didn’t think you worked nights so much these days.”
Jack grinned to himself, for he usually managed to get his little rewards during office hours. Last night had been special however. Very special, and he had allowed himself a little indulgence. The first time with a new one was to be savoured in any case.
“It was an unusual case my dear,” he said. “I decided that she needed my undivided attention until she had passed the crisis. She was feeling much better when I left her.“
Joey accepted Jack’s word at face value as she always had. The thought of infidelity had never entered her head, and she would have been shocked at the very concept. Jack yawned mightily, for it had been an exceedingly late night and he wasn’t quite as young as he had been, nor were his powers of recuperation. However, he had work to go to, so he finished his breakfast, dutifully kissed his wife’s cheek and disappeared out of the door.

Josie got off the little alpine train that had carried her up the mountain form Interlaken to the Gornetz Platz and looked around her in delight. She had no idea how she had got here, having woken up on the train, and for the time being didn’t know where ‘here’ was either. She guessed she was in Switzerland because of the Alps, though of course it could just as easily have been Austria or France, options which she conveniently ignored. She walked up the road ahead of her, drinking in the wonderful scenery as she went. There were a few buildings scattered about the area, typical chalets, with stone-built lower floors and wooden upper ones, with balconies protruding from each floor. Boxes of red geraniums decorated the edges of the balconies, giving a picture-postcard feel to the place. It had an almost fictionally stereotype feel she thought to herself. Ahead of her she saw a slightly larger chalet than the rest, big enough to be a small hotel or pension. A man came out of the chalet as she watched and headed for the car parked in the driveway. As Jack (for it was indeed him) opened the door, he saw her and hesitated, his eyes (if she had been close enough to see) gleaming. His recovery rate may have been slower than it had been, but his interest in new conquests burned as bright as ever.
Josie saw a tall slim man, with the silver hair that indicated that it had once been fair. She didn’t usually go for older men, certainly not as old as this man seemed to be, but there was something about him that caught her eye, a sexual attraction that hit her somewhere in the middle of her body. The shock made her stop dead in the road.
Jack left the car and sauntered down the road towards her.
“Hello,” he said. “Are you lost?” His eyes held an invitation she recognised though his voice gave nothing away.
“I think I am,” she managed to say. “Can you tell me where I am?”
Jack grinned. “This is the Gornetz Platz. Have you been day-dreaming your way here?”
Josie flushed slightly, feeling almost gauche in front of this very attractive man. “I think I must have been,” she said. “I have no idea how I got here.”
“The main thing is that you are here,” said Jack. “Let me be you escort whilst you are here. There’s plenty to see and do.”
Josie willingly climbed into the car and they set off up the road.
“That’s the Chalet School over there,” said Jack, waving vaguely at a group of buildings linked by covered passages. “You’ve probably heard of it. I‘m Jack Maynard by the way.”
Josie felt a little shell-shocked, then she realised what had happened. Now she was in for it, she supposed, but it was all her own fault. She knew very well which drabble she had gloated in. No wonder she was feeling what she was about the man beside her. Presently Jack stopped the car and turned off the engine. They were well away from any chalets, and hidden from the road by a grove of trees. He turned the engine off and turned slightly to face her. Josie took a deep breath at the look in his eyes.

Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Later, when the sound of the car engine had faded into the distance, Josie stirred and sat up, Her clothes were scattered to the four winds, and she crawled to gather them together, having no strength to stand up. She had just got as far as her undies when she heard someone behind her.
“Was it you he was with?” the voice held so much menace that Josie spun herself around in alarm. To her surprise it was Kat standing there, her eyes spitting daggers.
“Who?” she asked, desperately playing for time to finish dressing.
“Jack!” hissed Kat. “I won’t share him with any other CBBer.”
Josie smiled sweetly, insufferably. “Well,” she said slowly. “That would be my business, wouldn’t it?”
Kat snarled, like a tiger defending her kill. Then she launched herself at Josie, and they rolled over and over, kicking, scratching and biting, till they were brought up short by the sturdy bush. The impact brought them to their senses, and just in time, for the bush was growing right at the edge of the Platz, with a drop of thousands of feet to the valley floor. They gasped and scrambled back up the slope to safer ground. Then they stopped and took stock. Their clothes were ripped and dirty, hanging off them like rags. They were covered in scratches and bruises, there hair was a mess, some of torn out by the roots. The stood panting and glaring at each other.
“You leave him alone!” said Kat at last.
“Finders keepers,” taunted Josie.
Then they came together again like sumo wrestlers, completely forgetting how close to the edge of the cliff they were, and that this cliff had no safeguards against falling . the noise they made was incredible, and brought the inhabitants of the Platz out to see what was happening. Biddy Courvoisier, the first on the scene, heard some of the things they were screaming at each other and smiled knowingly at Hilary as she joined her.
“Jack!” she whispered “Don’t know who these tow are, but I recognise the reactions!”
Hilary grinned back at her. “Silly little fools,” she said. “Most of us know what he’s like and accept it, don’t we?”
“What on earth is going on?” Jo had appeared and was staring in astonishment at the combatants. Her friends became very vocal, trying to edge her away at the same time as blocking the words that were being shouted. They need not have bothered, for at that moment Kat and Josie lost their balance and toppled off the cliff, falling screaming to the valley floor below.

Would it be too obvious to point out that Jack hasn't yet (as far as we know) indulged in any activities involving more than one other participant?

Kat and Josie are CBBers who were gloating about a certain drabble in St Hilds written by one Anonnybunny and beta-read by them.
