An ickle pressie Gemmy dearest, since we can't all be in Aber today... just a wee idea my cunning plan partner in crime (Ally) and I had *insert angel smilie here* Thank you also to Nell for Aber geog specifics and Kitty, Vikki and Carolyn for proof reading. Hope you enjoy sweetie... Twisted Evil

Peapo yawned and stretched luxuriously on the bunny lounger. He’d lost track of the length of time he’d now been at the bunny spa, but he wasn’t complaining. He enjoyed being here, there were plenty of other bunnies to play with and Nell and Ally were very good at looking after him. Peapo decided it was time for a drink and pushed the buzzer next to the lounger. Katie, the latest addition to the bunny spa staff, hurried over to see what it was he needed. Yes, thought Peapo, this is definitely the life I was born to lead.

*
In Aberystwyth, Gem pushed aside the pile of books she had been using to write her essay and surveyed the final product with a smug satisfaction knowing that she could now celebrate her birthday without any little jabs from her conscience. She switched on her laptop and loaded up the CBB, logged in and gazed adoringly once more at her shiny mod powers, although sighing at the fact that she now had to show up in nearly lime green. Some of them, she decided opening up the thread entitled ‘School by the River’, were just a little too tempting. Her finger hovered over the delete button for a few moments before she took an executive decision. “DRINK,” she announced loudly and to no one in particular before bouncing off (albeit clickily) to the kitchen to locate her shiny new bottle of Archers (some kind soul knew her too well…).

*
Back at the bunny spa, Nell and Katie were putting the bunnies to bed and reading their bedtime stories, written by those members of the CBB who were still attached to their bunnies. This particular evening they were hearing a story by Lesley, the most famed of cliff creators. Nell read on as the story meandered its way higher and higher towards to top of the cliff, not noticing the secret smile on Peapo’s face.

*
At the Real Chalet School in Australia, Nancy Wilmot was having one last check of the CBB before morning classes started.

“Still on the board Nance?” asked Kathie Ferrars peeking over her shoulder.
Nancy nodded and sighed. “I was hoping there’d be some more River,” she said mournfully. “But seemingly Gem finds it more important to celebrate her birthday.”
Kathie clapped a hand to her mouth. “I’d forgotten that was today! Quick, log in to MSN and see if she’s online!”

Kat says: I have a cunning plan…

*
Gem was having a great night out on the tiles in Aberystwyth and, more importantly, a FREE night out since drinks kept getting pressed into her hand. Suddenly her mobile rang, fighting through the alcoholic haze (not to mention the contents of her handbag Rolling Eyes ), Gem located her phone and answered it.

“Hello?”
“Gem, where are you?” It was Kat’s voice.
“Aber silly,” Gem giggled drunkenly.
“I know that. But where in Aber?”

After several minutes of Gem’s drunken giggling and eventually asking one of her friends she was able to give a location to Kat.

*
A group of CBBers and Nancy and Kathie were soon congregated outside Pier Pressure, the club where Gem had told Kat she was, surprisingly to some of the CBBers this actually was on the Pier.

“Are you sure this is it?” asked Vikki, blinking in time to the flashing lights. (haha that’s what it feels like to be on the other end of the camera!)
“It’s what Gem said,” replied Kat, prodding Vikki gently.
“It looks like the sort of place Gem would hang out,” put in Sugar. “You can smell the alkiehol from outside.”
“I hope the bunnies will be alright on their own,” said Nell suddenly.
“They’ll be fine,” put in Rosie. “Do the duck dance, take your mind off it.”
“Anyone seen the Squeen?” asked Carolyn suddenly.
“I thought she was with you,” said Rachael. “At least she was when we were in the Tardis-time machine.”
Carolyn groaned. “I bet she’s asleep!”

The others snickered, and there was a bit of smirking going on as well, before Jo and Kathye volunteered to help Carolyn retrieve Liss who was snoring gently in the corner of the Tardis (a real one, not Vikki’s car – just to clarify!). They also dragged Vikki and her camera away from the Seafront where she was taking photo’s of the tea room where Gem and Nell had apparently partaken of a ‘civilised’ cup of tea!

“Are we all here now?” asked Ally impatiently as she fixed Rosie and Nell with a Miss Annersley/Matron-esque glare. The two promptly stopped duck dancing. “In we go then.”

The bouncers were somewhat perturbed by the attire of the CBBers and Nancy and Kathie. They’d never seen so much lime green before, it wasn’t pleasant on the eyes, but as Ally had pointed out, it would be much easier to find each other. They walked down the rather steep stairs to the club, apart from Nell, who fell down them, and Rosie, who went down on her front, and then set about looking for a very drunked Gem.

*
Gem emerged from the toilets and searched vainly for her friends. She was feeling somewhat wobbly, due largely in part to the alcohol consumption, but also to the fact that she’d fallen down the stairs on entering the club. Then something caught her eye.

A seething mass of Lime Green.

She screamed and took refuge behind the nearest SLOC she could find. Well, I say SLOC, but he was a bit of a wimp really and took off at the sight of all the Lime Green leaving Gem weebling in front of the entire club. She knew she was drunked but this was really taking things too far. Then the seething mass of Lime Green spoke.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEMPIE!”

(Gem giggled as she realised what was going on and attempted to run from the advancing stealth patters, only she’d consumed too much Archers and failed miserably.)

*
Meanwhile back on the CBB…
